“Kaitlin is amazing to work with. As a photographer who has done weddings myself, I had high standards and specific requests that weeded out a lot of people during my search. Kaitlin immediately stood out to me as someone with the ability to capture the essence of a couple. As I browsed her galleries I felt like I knew the couples and their stories by the time I was done. My wife and I are very introverted, shy, and not used to being the center of attention — let alone in front of a camera. After consulting with Kaitlin it was even more clear that she was the perfect photographer for us. Kaitlin listened to our requests, asked us questions to get a better understanding of what sort of coverage we’d like, and checked in multiple times leading up to the wedding day to go over plans. On the day of, Kaitlin was incredible. She set her flash units up perfectly to give a beautiful sense of lighting to our indoor pictures. Kaitlin was quick and professional with our family formals without feeling like she was rushing anyone. We love our newlywed portraits, largely due to how natural it felt to work with her—again this was huge for us as two people who are a bit camera shy. Our reception photos are equally beautiful, she captured meaningful candid moments without feeling like she was standing between us and the moments happening around us. If you’re like my wife and me and aren’t used to being on camera, I would 100% recommend booking a practice session with Kaitlin either for engagement photos or couples’ photos. As a photographer I’m used to being behind the camera and not in front of it. She helped us feel comfortable and it also helped her see how we interact together as a couple. At no point did we feel like Kaitlin was commandeering our schedule to check off boxes on a shot-list. She was seamlessly integrated everything. Genuinely, I cannot recommend Kaitlin enough. “Jenni is an absolute gem of a human and a phenomenal photographer. She is so sweet and such a lovely personality. We first worked with Jenni to take our engagement photos, and my husband and I immediately felt comfortable and familiar with her. We are not comfortable in front of the camera at all, but Jenni somehow made us feel like we'd been taking photos together with her for years. After our engagement shoot, I knew Jenni needed to be our wedding photographer. We more or less picked our wedding date based on her availability! A few weeks after booking our wedding with Jenni, she sent us the loveliest care package with a typewriter-written note and a few goodies. She puts so much thought and care into everything she does! On the day of the wedding, Jenni immediately hopped into action. She was patient, kind, and had such confidence in what she was doing (which was so needed, considering you're dealing with not just us as the couple, but our families as well). We were barely past the weekend after our wedding, and we already have sneak peeks! Jenni is a master! Looking at what she was able to capture is truly amazing.
