Wild Rose Planning & Events
Rating: 5.0 (22 reviews)
Kansas City, MO
  • Planner
  • Offers 3 services
  • Starts at $6,500

Wild Rose Planning & Events was established in 2021 by two wedding industry experts. Throughout our years in the industry, we felt there was a gap in the planning process, making it feel more like work than fun. We’re here to provide you with the experience you deserve — stress free, organized, and memorable!

Awarded Best of Zola
I can’t say enough about the incredible experience I had working with Brenna and Molly from Wild Rose Planning Events. Brenna was my primary planner, and we opted for their full-service package, which was hands down the best investment we made for our wedding. From day one, Brenna was on top of everything – even with the small but essential details like parts of our invites, menus, and custom signage. She truly went above and beyond, bringing a personal touch and creative flair that made our wedding so special. Brenna and Molly brought so much creativity to the planning process. They even used their Cricut to add those perfect handcrafted details that made everything feel unique to us. I had a few items I wanted from Pinterest, and Brenna took care of all the ordering, handling all the specifics with the vendors. Every time I reached out, she was quick to respond, making me feel reassured and at ease throughout what could have been a stressful process. Something especially unique about Brenna is that she went above and beyond, working closely with a travel advisor to plan my entire three-week honeymoon abroad. She handled every detail, from flights and accommodations to curated experiences that made our honeymoon an unforgettable extension of our wedding celebration. Her dedication to planning every part of this experience truly blew me away, and I felt completely cared for even after the wedding day was over. Planning an out-of-town wedding could have been a logistical nightmare, but Brenna and Molly made it seamless. Their network of vendors is outstanding, and I felt so comfortable knowing they had connections with everyone from florists to photographers. On the big day, every vendor seemed genuinely excited to work with them, creating a lively, positive atmosphere that elevated our celebration even more. We got married at Top of the Rock at Big Cedar Lodge, a dream venue. Thanks to Wild Rose, I was able to have a hands-off experience for what is normally a hands-on process. Running my own small business, I know how important it is to have reliable partners, and Wild Rose Planning Events delivered every step of the way. They made it possible for me to relax and truly enjoy our wedding day, knowing every detail was flawlessly handled. Wild Rose Planning Events came highly recommended by a friend, and now I see why. Brenna and Molly have such a great reputation, and it’s well-deserved. They went above and beyond, making my dream wedding come to life, and I feel like I gained two friends in the process. If you’re looking for a team that is dedicated, creative, and genuinely invested in making your day special, I wholeheartedly recommend Wild Rose Planning Events. They made our wedding and honeymoon dreams come true, and I am forever grateful!

Hello my name is Gaby! I’ve been a professional makeup artist for almost a decade, ensuring that I will be a valuable addition to your wedding. I believes that makeup should enhance your natural beauty, making you look and feel your best. My business is Lovely Beauty KC a makeup & hair wedding business based in Kansas City, Missouri. No matter what your makeup vision is for your big day, My team and I are here to help.

Awarded Best of Zola
Tai was my makeup artist for my wedding, and she was wonderful to work with - professional, on time, kind, and patient throughout the entire process. I was pleased with my final look and felt like a more glam version of myself, which was what I wanted. Five of us had our makeup done, and Tai took great care with each person, especially my sister who has very sensitive skin and my mom whose makeup preferences were more specific. We also loved the touch-up kits provided for each of us. Tai was open to feedback both during my bridal trial and on the wedding day itself (pictures of my trial attached - realized I didn't take a good plain make up shots on the day of). Since I don’t have much experience with makeup terminology, it took us a little longer to get to what I wanted for my eye makeup and lip color. Tai was very accommodating as we adjusted a few things together. Looking back, I think seeing some colors swatched directly on my skin earlier in the process could have helped, especially since as a non-expert, it felt like we were on different pages trying to communicate. However, that probably isn’t specific to Lovely Beauty and would’ve been the case with myself and any make up artist. In any case, Tai’s willingness to collaborate and make adjustments was appreciated. Additionally, the Lovely Beauty Team was responsive to my emails and easy to work with throughout the planning process, and I would absolutely recommend them to other brides.

Caitlyn Cloud Photography
Rating: 5.0 (7 reviews)
Kansas City, MO
  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style

I grew up in a divided home, literally. Splitting time between my parents after their divorce, often being in the middle of their fighting, made me grow into a very empathetic person. It’s become the biggest strength I take with me into wedding days. My documentary style stems from my ability to sense when special moments are about to happen. I am able to sense emotions that aren’t necessarily visible, sense when to come close and when to be a fly-on-the-wall, and sense what/who is important to you therefore important to photograph.

Awarded Best of Zola
Caitlyn was so easy to work with and so organized. The portal she uses to share bills and information is very easy to use. She was flexible with scheduling and offered great guidance for day of scheduling. She is a great communicator and responds quickly. The day of she made the whole experience effortless honestly! Our photos turned out amazing, we loved the candid and more posed photos. It was great to have a good mix of each! Every wedding day has issues, our venue didn’t put out our chairs and Caitlyn totally rolled with it and took pictures while people waited for chairs to arrive. She’s also just a genuine person and truly cares about the people she’s working with. Would recommend her 100%.

I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Molly from Blush Bloom Studio in action, and I can’t recommend her enough! Her attention to detail, ability to color match, and the way she captured the emotion of the moment in such a delicate, artistic way left everyone in awe. Not only is she extremely talented, but Molly is also a true professional. Her communication was warm, kind, and genuine from start to finish. We had such an amazing wedding at The Oliver Building. Having the venue for the whole weekend made our weekend run so smoothly. We had our rehearsal Friday night, and brought everything over so we didn’t need to deal with it Saturday. Then got ready in the amazing upstairs suites Saturday morning. We had a great time, and Caitlin was so easy to work with! The only reason I took a star off is that we had some issues with the bar. We made it clear from the start that we wanted to prioritize the bar, and didn’t want long lines. Because of that, they said we would have 3 bartenders, and would batch some of our signature cocktails. Unfortunately, we only had two bartenders, despite giving tips for 3, and there were no cocktails batched. We did have a pretty long line at our bar most of the night because of this. All in all, it was an amazing venue for our wedding!!

Great experience with Union. First off, they have a beautiful space that really encompasses the vibe of downtown KC. But their service was also great to match. We wish we had gone with the full planning package instead of just the month-of-package, because once they started getting involved in our plan about 60 days out, things really got a lot easier, so I would highly suggest using them for your planning. They worked great with all of our vendors and all of our guests were impressed with their team!

We had a Mexican theme birthday party for my mom. We hired Wandering Cantina to take care of the set up, decoration, and drinks. They were awesome. They were very professional and made everything easy for us. Our guests were so happy with the selections of cocktails, mock cocktails, tequila drinks and wine besides other non alcoholics options. The bartender was very nice and a good listener. We recommend them. We plan to hire them again.

MorgsBehindTheCamera

Most couples don't love being photographed, and that's okay. They love each other and they're excited about their wedding, but they're usually a little anxious about the camera part. That's where I come in! I'm Morgan, a Kansas City wedding and elopement photographer specializing in intimate weddings and elopements. I eloped myself, so I understand intimacy over spectacle. Making people feel comfortable and like themselves in front of a camera is the whole foundation of how I work.

We hired MorgsBehindTheCamera for our intimate wedding in Kansas City and everything was perfect. It was just us, immediate family, and a few of our closest friends so we wanted something that felt personal and laidback. From our very first conversation, Morgan understood exactly what we were going for. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, which I was honestly terrified about. By the end of the night it felt like we were just hanging out with a friend who happened to be taking pictures. The photos she delivered were romantic, emotional, and genuinely felt like us. If you're planning an intimate wedding, elopement, or small ceremony in the Kansas City area and want a photographer who actually listens then MorgsBehindTheCamera is exactly who you want. We're obsessed and would choose her again in a heartbeat!

I’m Allison Dorr, and I’m here to bring my decade of experience in the Hospitality and Event industry to help make your big day everything you’ve dreamed of. I hold a degree in Hospitality Management from Kansas State University and have worn many hats over the years, from banquets and corporate events to venue management, I’ve done it all! The wedding industry can feel overwhelming, and I know how draining and expensive it can get. That’s where I come in, I’m here to take the pressure off, help you navigate the details, and make sure you get to say "I do" surrounded by the people you love most.

Working with Adorrable Events was such a relief from start to finish. Allison made the whole planning process feel easy and stress-free, which really helped calm my nerves leading up to my event. She had a way of making me feel like my vision mattered and that she genuinely cared about creating something special just for us. Everything ran smoothly, and honestly, I think that's because Allison had thought through every single detail. She made me feel valued and supported throughout the entire process, and I'm already planning to hire her for future events. I can't recommend Adorrable Events highly enough.
