About this venue
We are so much more than a traditional venue. We’ve combined an all-inclusive approach with an experienced award-winning team to give our clients the opportunity to design and enjoy their special occasions, stress-free. In 1907, the Loose Mansion was masterfully designed by Ella and Jacob Loose to host Kansas City’s most exquisite affairs. Today, this fully restored mansion with a remarkable history is still home to the most elegant of evenings.
Our event spaces
Main and Lower Levels
This space delights guests with a marble foyer, ornate grand staircase, crystal chandeliers, four incredible fireplaces, and hand-painted murals.
The Main and Lower Levels are beautifully restored and provide an elegant venue space with architectural treasures that are fun to see and explore. The Main Level includes spacious Grand Salon, Music Room, Dining Room and Sun Porch areas. The Lower Level, originally home to Jacob Loose’s Cigar & Billiards Room, provides the perfect cocktail hour scene and often additional dinner seating, when needed.

Parlor and Portico
This space located on the 2nd level, has a beautiful fireplace, crystal chandeliers, tin ceilings and provides an inviting indoor/outdoor experience.
The Parlor & Outdoor Portico Deck is an elegant, unique space that can be rented for a small event, such as a rehearsal dinner, shower, birthday party or corporate meeting. When we have wedding ceremonies in the Third Level Ballroom, we often use the Parlor & Outdoor Portico Deck for the cocktail hour while we reset the larger area for the reception.

The Ballroom
The Third Level Ballroom is beautiful, wide-open event space with an ornate tin ceiling, stunning fireplace, and old-world chandeliers.
Loose Mansion’s third level was originally the Ballroom where Jacob and Ella Loose hosted many elegant evenings in the early 1900’s. The fully restored Ballroom has a wide open floor plan. With a stunning fireplace, a huge stained glass window, old-world chandeliers and tin ceilings, this space once again lends itself to elegant evenings. The Ballroom is perfect for any special occasion, including wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and corporate meetings.
