“Words almost fail to express how freaking fabulous our time with The Barker House was! We are just over 3 months married (3/27/2025) and family and friends still remark to us on just how fun and gorgeous our wedding was. A ton of that credit goes to the amazing staff at the Barker House. Right from the start of our first tour, we were treated with such kindness and respect from the Barker House team. We were immediately sold on the staff (who took such time and care chatting with us) before we even fell in love with the venue. Davis-Lynn and Lilly were our rockstars! We were lucky enough to have them with us on our wedding day. The first portion of the day I was incredibly nervous, but once I was greeted by Davis-Lynn at the front door all my worries dissipated. I knew I was in the best of hands and suddenly felt ready to have fun. Even during the dinner service, Lilly was so kind as to sew my ripped bustle behind the scenes. She was so dedicated to making sure we had the best experience. The venue is simply stunning. As two people who appreciate history and go antiquing regularly, The Barker House spoke to our personalities. The speak-easy feel of the sunken bar, fireplaces, and exposed beams are very unique. The venue is in a gorgeous area and we were glad to be by the ocean. The chef is phenomenal as the food service was top notch. Family still exclaim to us how delicious the food was (omg the short ribs perfection!). I also suggest that couples utilize The Barker House's recommended vendors. Not only was payment and interaction with them a breeze, but they were each fabulous in responsiveness and quality. Awesome Blossom, Toast To That Entertainment, and Kristen Griffin Photography were incredibly professional and they each blew us away. I could go on and on... The bottom line, if you looking for a worry free all inclusive beautiful venue and want to work with the best people, look no further than The Barker House! P.S. Brides, make sure you get a picture with your planners! My only regret is that I didn't get a picture with Lilly and Davis-Lynn!”

“We just got married this past weekend and honestly Black Rock Country Club (BRCC) couldn't have been better. My husband and I have been trying to think about if there were any areas of improvement and honestly we couldn't think of anything. During our planning period, the wedding coordinator of BRCC changed to Tricia who was absolutely fabulous. Tricia worked really hard to make our wedding as us as possible. We were able to bring in our decorations early and walk her through what we wanted. She and the team took copious notes so when we arrived everything was perfectly put together. She also worked to ensure that all of our guests dietary needs were met no matter the odd or unique request. Even though the wedding was almost a week ago, Tricia has still been checking in on us and telling us of all the things she appreciated about our wedding. She and her team really helped bring our vision to life, we couldn't be happier.”

Initially, we chose the Red Lion because it had everything we wanted: all events on site, charming spaces, gorgeous outdoor grounds, and rooms for family to stay in! Throughout the planning process, we were delighted to find that the staff was incredible. Andrew and Nancy at the front desk were friendly and super helpful with navigating the room block. During the planning process and on the day of the wedding we worked with Sam Loonie and Toufek! They were an incredible team from start to finish! They were organized, efficient, and always willing to accommodate any of our needs. Sam Loonie was super responsive to the plethora of questions that I had throughout the planning process. I am not the most organized person on earth and her assistance with planning made it so much easier for me. She and Toufek made sure that our day ran so smoothly. Throughout the reception and even into the after party Sam and Toufek checked in with us to make sure all of our needs were met. We cannot thank them enough for all of the effort that went into pulling off an amazing day! We would highly recommend the Red Lion Inn to couples that are looking for a wedding venue!”

Our guests had an amazing experience and loved having access to both the dance floor inside and cocktail and patio space outside (we got married on a beautiful night in July). While the space and food are reason enough to choose the Tirrell Room, working with Amy leading up to and on the day of our wedding really made the day amazing! Amy helped us to plan and select details, and gave suggestions and lots of encouragement. With her help we were able to plan a wedding for 200 people in 7 months! She is a kind and wonderful person to work with and helped our wedding day run smoothly. I can’t imagine what the wedding planning process and day of facilitation would have been like without her guiding us! “We had our wedding at Venezia on 6/29/24 and it was absolutely perfect. Jennifer was our coordinator that we worked with throughout the entire process. She was so helpful and organized during the entire planning phase and truly listened to each one of our requests to make them a reality. The food was phenomenal, we have had so many guests reach out to say how delicious everything was, from the massive cheese display to the portion sizes of the dinners and the dessert table was HUGE. There was plenty of food and plenty of staff to assist all 250 of our guests. As the bride and groom, one staff member, Rob was nearby us all night for any single thing we needed and to ensure we were having a great time. He was so helpful! The timeline of the entire day went off without a hitch, once again thanks to Jen for understanding how we wanted everything to flow and to the entire staff for executing. There were no delays in getting food to tables and the entire ceremony and reception flowed smoothly. The newly renovated second floor space is STUNNING. We had our ceremony up here and it was beautiful. The venue has ocean views on both levels and a beautiful deck that guests were able to use during our reception. I can not recommend Venezia enough for a wedding or any other event - they are truly professionals and experts at what they do. Our day was perfect and we are so happy this was our venue.”
