“We cannot say enough amazing things about Bello Giorno Estate. The location of the estate is adjacent to a small river, which made for absolutely spectacular wedding photos. Think Secret Garden meets Italian Villa! We also loved the intimate feel of the banquet hall, which was the perfect fit for our wedding size. Our guests loved the food and service. Even though we planned our wedding remotely, working with Monica and Stephanie was incredibly easy, as they were very responsive to both email and phone calls. We felt like they went above and beyond to accommodate us and tailor our wedding so it would be perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to hold our wedding. Thank you Bello Giorno!”

“I hosted my wedding at The Lofts at Prince Street and I had the most gorgeous time! I rented the rooftop for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and the penthouse top floor for our reception. From the start, Claudia was absolutely amazing to work with. She is confident, thoughtful, and kind. Throughout planning our wedding, Claudia was an excellent help. She was responsive, answering my questions thoughtfully and always very quickly. On our wedding day, I found her presence very calming and reassuring. The Lofts get many guests per week, but I felt like Claudia took the time to get to know me and my husband, and really made us feel special. Our wedding was about 25 people, and the space fit us perfectly. The rooftop gives you the money shot. Even our hardest to please guests complimented our venue multiple times. You get gorgeous, 360 views of the Manhattan skyline, but you are high above street level so excessive noise was not a problem. I talked through my vision with Claudia on our walkthrough, and her team took care of so much before I even arrived. The penthouse room is a blank canvas that you can decorate any way you wish. The exposed brick and clean walls are a really cool starting point, but I was absolutely blown away by how the room transformed into a better vision than I could have even imagined. There is a private suite in the back that we used to get ready in. It was very fun to take photos there and I felt safe tucked away before my guests arrived. The space is also very clean! Having a suite in the back allowed me to arrive early to the venue and get centered before the ceremony began. If you are not familiar with NYC, the Lofts are in a really fun location! You are central to many hotels and subway lines, so it’s easy to access. The venue is surrounded by cafes, green spaces, and restaurants. And you are a short walk from many bars if you want an after party. Even if your wedding is larger, I would highly recommend the Lofts for a shower or even an event. I am so thankful we opted for the Lofts at Prince Street, it was a really great choice!”

New York, NY
  • Up to 50 guests

  • Indoor & outdoor

Located off Cooper Square in one of New York’s most vibrant, artistic neighborhoods, The Standard, East Village is cozy, charming, and eccentric in equal measure—very much in the spirit of its surroundings. You enter the 21-story tower through an original tenement-style building before ascending to unparalleled views of Manhattan from the hotel's crowned jewel, The Penthouse. There’s a quiet, calm garden tucked away at street level that in the warmer months is filled with lush topiaries and floral arrangements, and in the cold season transforms into a magical winter wonderland. On the second floor, The Overlook is a cozy room perfect for a rehearsal dinner or cocktails, connected to The Perch which overlooks The Garden. Downstairs, there's Narcissa restaurant, which boasts its own private terrace, the street-side Café Standard, and NO BAR, a highly inclusive new wave gay bar with custom artwork and a disco ball.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Exudes style
  • Has an intimate feel for a small guest list
  • Private area for the wedding party

Venue considerations

  • Lighting and sound are not included
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Better for more intimiate events
“Having never been privy to what goes into a wedding reception, I was in the dark about a lot. So, I had difficulty understanding what to choose and how much our choices would cost. If it wasn’t for the close proximity to the church, I may have chosen a different venue for our reception. The food and beverage was the biggest expense and the biggest source of confusion. The real disappointment of the F&B was the limited amount of food. The shrimp appetizer was good. However, there was so little, if you didn’t grab some, it was gone. Of the three entrees to choose from, the only one that was any good was the fish and the portion was less than one would reasonably expect for an entree. The chicken was dry and hard, a huge disappointment. The lemon tart dessert was good. The space itself is very nice. Fortunately, it was just the right size for our reception.”

“Having a Celebration of Life was definitely more focused on the positives of a sad occasion but it's nonetheless stressful. You still have all of the responsibilities of the hostess and getting your relatives there on time and making decisions prior to the event. I can't thank the staff at the Benjamin enough for guiding me through the process and for handling everything when we got there. I really didn't feel like I had much to handle when we got there. We were able to decorate the way we wanted to and were provided with a tv to run a slide show. One more thing...the food was great!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Ravel. Everyone was exceptionally communicative and accommodating throughout the process and on the day of, especially our coordinator Eman. She stood out as a queen of logistics and made me feel like the planning process was always under control. The bridal assistant, Jade, was fantastic to have nearby on the day of, and Joe, who handled setup, was also a standout. Our guests raved about the food and the view. Overall, the aesthetic of the venue was an incredibly backdrop to our photos, and it really set the tone we were hoping for. Our reception was in the penthouse, and the glittering skyline really made the party feel sophisticated and chic, and unlike any other wedding I’ve been to. We ended up with 150 guests, and the room felt full in a lively way without ever being overcrowded. We had some concerns about the hotel after reading reviews, and those concerns were promptly alleviated. They even upgraded our room to the top suite, which was the perfect size for 9 women to get ready on the day of. Would definitely recommend this venue, especially a reception in the penthouse if it fits your guest count.”

“We had our cocktail style wedding at The Albion, The Whiskey Lounge, this past June and the whole planning experience with Jennifer and her team was nothing short of amazing from day 1-wedding day. I'm still talking about what a great night it was. Every detail was taken care of and ran smoothly. The venue, the food, the attention to detail, the service..10/10!! We also had a morning after brunch in The Living Room the next day, which was also an amazing spread and a lovely way to send off our guests who stayed overnight. Highly recommend!”

“Everything was as perfect as can be! I made my own centerpieces and other small decorations- they set it up to a T following the accompanied photos with the items. The whole day was smooth, elegant, everything was honestly so perfect. If there were any issues behind the scenes, we didn’t know about it! The only one negative was before the wedding day, you do have to pay extra for a tasting at the restaurant but they gave us a hefty coupon. Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever!”

“Our wedding turned out to be incredibly beautiful, thanks to a unique venue and execution by its staff. However, that perfect day was almost derailed by the unacceptable pressure campaign to change ceremony locations due to concerns over furniture getting wet. We wanted this review to capture our nearly 20 months of planning with the TWA Hotel. PLANNING PROS: -Variety of spaces -Responsiveness -Flexibility for storing supplies CONS: -No FAQ document -Frustrating room block system -Forgotten menu tasting notification -Lack of communication and contradictory info from the Paris Cafe for rehearsal dinner THE WEDDING PROS: -Organized and accommodating staff -The food, especially the pastrami station and red velvet cake for dessert CONS: -Wrong display with typo on Solaris board in the Sunken Lounge -Our tiered wedding cake wasn’t cut and served even tho there clearly wasn’t enough sheet cake to pass around -The weather “policy”: We were told that we could make a final decision on an outdoor ceremony up until the morning of our wedding, and our point of contact reassured us of this during our final walkthru 2 weeks out. Our contract also secured the Sunken Lounge as the backup option if we chose to move indoors. However, in the final days and hours before our wedding, we were pressured to move our ceremony indoors, despite nearly all weather reports showing clear skies for our 5-6pm ceremony and rain only after 9pm. Our point of contact started questioning our outdoor plans 4-5 days before the wedding, and even met with us multiple times - first in the lobby while we were dropping off supplies 2 days before our wedding, again when we were checking in the next day, and yet again when we were at the pool before our rehearsal dinner, where we had to brush off our guests in order to have a serious meeting. Each time, they told us we needed to make a "final call" now, not the morning-of as we had been told before. After listing their reasons to move the ceremony indoors (which included threatening to release the Sunken Lounge from our backup option, despite what our contract said), the point of contact mentioned that the head manager was concerned about the rain damaging the leather chairs, and then proposed a “solution” of having the ceremony outside, but not setting up any chairs so that our guests would stand for the entire ceremony. It was clear to us that the real reason why we were being pressured was that the manager didn’t want their leather chairs to get wet! We asserted that, unless we were explicitly told we couldn't have our ceremony outside, we would stick with the outdoor option. The morning of our wedding, our day-of coordinator informed us that the venue was insisting they now had a “50% chance of rain policy”, giving them the “right” to change ceremony locations. We immediately forwarded reports from 10 weather sites that all had a chance of rain between 5-7pm at 0-30%. We finally saw chairs being set up outside in the mid-afternoon, and when our ceremony got underway, the clouds parted ways and the sun started shining. CONCLUSION: The TWA Hotel is such a special place to celebrate your wedding! Before you sign the contract, however, understand that you’ll have to stay on top of the planning process, and in cases like ours, fight for what you envision. Make sure the contract spells out any and all promises — there were items that we made sure they honored as it was clear the hotel’s policies had changed since the signing.”

“Our wedding was the smoothest day we could have asked for. From the time we booked to the morning after, we knew we were in excellent hands. Lea was professional and made booking everything from the wedding itself, tasting, and rehearsal dinner a smooth process answering every question we had, and more we hadn't even thought of. Working with John as our maître d' was a lifesaver. Coordinating us where we had to be, helping us with our banquet menu, and making sure we were able to enjoy our time with our guests while still being able to eat and drink at our cocktail hour made us have a night that we were able to look back on and actually remember, not just be a blur. The venue itself is gorgeous, only doing one event at each property (the Olde Mill Inn itself and the Grain House across the parking lot) each day, so you do not have added stress about timelines or not having support day of. Our ceremony was in the Courtyard, and reception in the ballroom, with easy access to said courtyard if you needed to go outside and get some fresh air. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, but they are also prepared to be able to host the ceremony indoors just in case.”

“The first thing we noticed about the Grain House was how utterly charming it was, shortly followed by how organized the wedding team was. We fell in love with the cozy, historic space and felt so well taken care of by Lea, the sales manager, and John, our maître d. They were responsive and answered every one of our million (sometimes crazy) questions. We were in disbelief just how much we were getting for the price we were paying, and felt supported during the entire planning process. When the day came, everything went off without a hitch...the servers were wonderful, our guests GUSHED about the food and space, and John was a total champ...our photographer even noted how on top of everything he was! The BEAUTIFUL outdoor space in addition to the dining area made it feel secluded, and truly like a fairytale (tented outdoor dancefloor!!). We could hardly believe that the GIANT suite where we stayed that night was included in our package! Days later, our guests continue to tell us that our wedding was the best they have ever been to. Ultimately, our wedding was the best day of our lives so far, and a huge part of that is the lovely team at the Grain House!”

“The team at the Garden City Hotel was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first spoke with them, they were easy to communicate with and very responsive to all of our questions and requests. The space itself was absolutely stunning - the ballroom was beautifully decorated and the outdoor gardens provided a lovely backdrop for our photos. But what really made the day special was the outstanding service we received. The bridal attendant, Nang, was with me from the moment I put on my dress until the very end of the night, ensuring I had everything I needed and helping to make the day run smoothly. The events directors, Paul, Merril, and Jose, were also incredibly helpful, working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. We and all of our guests had an absolutely wonderful experience, and we can't thank the Garden City Hotel team enough for helping to make our special day so memorable.”

“Overall, we are happy with our wedding day. The Mansion is in the process of being renovated/restored and so far it is looking beautiful! The hotel rooms were recently updated and guests were happy with them. The food was also FANTASTIC! (All of our guests were raving about all of the food). They clearly are a well oiled machine when it comes to throwing weddings. We also had our welcome dinner there the night before, which went amazingly and there was so much food everyone was happy! However, there were a few hiccups that bothered us considering how much money is put into having a wedding & how this venue does weddings all.the.time. so expectations are high. In the planning process, the event coordinator position was replaced 3 times in the year we were planning our wedding with them, the last replacement being the week before our wedding. The final replacement did not have any of our vendor info or cake selections and called me 4 days before my wedding about it (...scary). It must've been a miscommunication from the coordinator prior to her, as that girl never responded to any of our emails; I'm sure she did not keep any notes. The current coordinator also could not answer simple questions our friends/family asked her and was very pushy. On our wedding day, I was paired with a Maitre D who was very sweet, but I'm not sure about her "years" of experience that she claimed to have. While taking photos with our photographer she wasn't paying attention and wasn't fixing my dress/veil every time wind blew it out of place so the photographer had to leave his place each time to fix it himself (it was a windy day so this happened a lot). The photographer also asked her to assist in a "veil toss" shot and she ripped the veil from my head, yanking my head back, when she was just supposed to toss it up in the air. It hurt and pulled on my hair style that was supposed to last all night. I mentioned before the food was excellent, and the Chef is incredible. However, when we booked our venue last year, we were adamant about wanting a real wedding cake--not a fake one you cut one slice into for pictures. We were told by one of the event planners there that all tiers were going to be real cake, but during our cake cutting, we cut into styrofoam...it was disappointing. The cake they served was delicious, but we thought we were paying for a real cake because we were told it would be 100% real. We probably would not have booked this venue had we known we'd get a fake cake; it was something my dad made sure to ask at every venue we checked out, it was important to him. Additionally, some rude comments were overheard by our guests made by various staff members about our wedding. As a business owner whose business is to also provide a service, that is absolutely unacceptable, especially while on the job where people can hear you. Jazmin, the Chef, and the front desk ladies were very pleasant and professional to work with, but no one else there seemed to know what they were doing. It ended up working out but again, with how many weddings this place throws, you'd expect a better level of professionalism.”

About wedding venues in Harrison, NJ

Why Choose New Jersey for Your Wedding Day?

New Jersey gives you four distinct regions with unique wedding settings and styles to match any vision. September tops the charts for wedding inquiries here, so you'll want to plan ahead if you're eyeing a date during peak season. The varied landscapes mean you can find everything from waterfront elegance to historic charm without traveling far.

What Types of Wedding Venues Can You Find in New Jersey?

The venue scene in New Jersey covers just about every style imaginable. Luxury estates like Park Chateau in East Brunswick offer stunning French-inspired architecture with gorgeous European gardens that make for incredible photo backdrops. If water views are your thing, places like Liberty House showcase breathtaking NYC skyline panoramas right alongside the water. History buffs fall in love with venues like Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange with its historic grounds and Mediterranean gardens. Modern couples gravitate toward industrial spaces such as The Art Factory in Paterson where contemporary design meets character and uniqueness.

How Much Should You Budget for a New Jersey Wedding?

Wedding venues in New Jersey typically run between $8,600 and $10,600, which falls right in line with the national range of $6,500-$12,000. Your overall costs will scale with your guest count. A 50-person celebration averages around $25,059 while stepping up to 100 guests pushes that to $41,588. Mid-sized weddings with 150 guests come in around $57,123 and larger gatherings of 200 reach about $71,002. Going bigger? Expect to invest around $84,881 for 250 guests or $98,761 for 300 guests. These figures help you set realistic expectations as you start planning.

The Rockleigh can accommodate massive celebrations with up to 850 guests while offering both grand ballrooms and beautiful outdoor garden settings. Bridgewater Manor features elegant chandeliers a grand staircase and beautifully maintained grounds that photograph wonderfully. Most have wheelchair ramps and accessible restrooms but details matter when creating an inclusive celebration for all your guests.

How Can New Jersey Venues Accommodate Remote Guests?

Crystal Springs Resort in Sussex County offers virtual tours that can be adapted for remote guest experiences. Liberty House and Hudson House provide scenic settings that work perfectly with advanced audiovisual systems to bring your ceremony to distant loved ones. Bonnet Island Estate offers unique backdrops that videographers can capture creatively for those who can't attend in person.
