The video turned out amazing! Last weekend, we watched the full ceremony edit, theatrical trailer, and gameday entrance. The attention to detail during the filming and with the audio, video, and transition in the final project was astounding. “If you're on the fence about your wedding DJ, stop looking and book Jacob from District Remix. From the first time we met Jacob, we knew we were on the same wavelength. He immediately understood the atmosphere we wanted to create throughout the night, from a vibey dinner reception to an absolutely packed dance floor. He's incredibly professional, easy to work with, and genuinely knows his music. Jacob met with us several times leading up to the wedding and was always open to our ideas. We gave him a list of songs and different genres we loved, and he took it to another level by creating an incredible "Power Hour" set. He seamlessly mixed our songs with others that perfectly matched the vibe, keeping each song to around 90 seconds or less so the energy never dropped. I can honestly say there wasn't a single moment during that set where I wanted to leave the dance floor. Every transition kept people engaged, and the dance floor stayed packed. Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. Party Girl Entertainment is run and operated by Amy Reid; an active Baltimore DJ, musician and events curator performing since 2010. Driven by music, a sincere joy of the dance floor and the power it has to bring people together, she formed PGE in 2019 with this goal in mind. She is accommodating and welcomes venues both intimate and expansive. In 2017, The Baltimore Sun deemed Reid as one of “10 Baltimore Musicians on the Rise.” She has also been featured in Baltimore Magazine’s “Faces of Pride” issue in 2019. Her favorite party starters are Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance.”

“Amy was the DJ for our November 2024 wedding. As the music sets the vibe, we wanted someone who really understood what we were looking for and understood the music we like and our tastes. After a horrible experience talking with another vendor, we immediately clicked with Amy and felt that she understood what we were looking for (Gay dance pop!). Communication with her was straightforward and simple, and she took our basic playlists for different parts of the night and blended them to reflect our style and set the appropriate mood. She executed the music cues during our outdoor ceremony perfectly which we believe helped to elevate the whole experience. But the star of our experience with her was an amazingly packed and vibrant dance floor for the whole time. We got so many compliments on the music and everyone from our friends to coworkers and older relatives had a great time. One of our requests was to play a ton of Chappell Roan and Amy delivered, including a (potentially original?) dance mix of Pink Pony Club that was honestly transcendent. She even played a special song for a plushie toss (it’s a story) without our prompting.
