“The ENTIRE night...we kept hearing "Your DJ is so fun!!!" and we could not agree more! Gemma and Luv'dup DJs was so easy, fun, and stress-free to work with from the very beginning. We were assured that the music we wanted to play would be played, that they had sound/mics/audio/lights all under control, and that Gemma would dance the night away with us. We opted to do the uplighting package, and that was worth every penny too. The whole Luv'dup team was so communicative and professional throughout the entire planning process. We wanted a fun, upbeat feeling for cocktail hour and dinner, and a dance floor that was packed the whole night. Gemma absolutely delivered both, and she read the room SO perfectly to keep playing songs that the crowd would love dancing and singing to. I know I'm biased, but I truly don't think I have never seen a dance floor so crowded and happy at a wedding. We have Gemma and Luv'dup to thank for curating the perfect, joyful party. We could not recommend Luv'dup DJs and Gemma more...especially if you are getting married at Curtis Arboretum!”

We shared some playlists with him for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and the dance floor, and he completely understood the vibes we were going for and ran with it, working in everything from Irish folk songs to KPop Demon Hunters to Bruce Springsteen. So many guests told us the music felt just like “us” and commented on what a great DJ Michael was. “My partner and I came into our wedding planning with a lofty idea - 150 person backyard wedding in the summer heat. Brandon took on the challenge not only with enthusiasm, but also an incredible amount of flexibility, clear direction, and belief. His communication style is stellar - he is readily available and we appreciated his application to make picking songs and organizing them seamless. He is certainly not an "in-your-face" DJ - he makes sure you are the star of your day, and will fill in the gaps where necessary to make your dream come true. I personally had a fairly outlandish request for my mother-son dance, and he just rolled with it - as if it was the simplest and most approachable request ever. He also played a huge part in ensuring all of our ceremony, speeches, etc. were loud and clear. Mics were easy to use, and felt very professional. As initial "we-don't-want-a-DJ" people for our wedding, we are SO GLAD we ended up choosing a different route by going with Brandon because he was everything we needed and more, and put on an incredible showing for our eager and dance-happy guests :) See below for evidence of dance floor getting torn up from dancing too hard ;)”

Saroj James Hyoju, got into DJ industry upon walking into Latin club in Dallas, Texas in 2015. Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. Observing how DJ was controlling the crowd’s energy while enjoying himself, this made him curious about club music genres, besides metal and rock. Following immediately, he hosted a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) house party, where 50 people showed up. My husband and I live in NY and got married in DC, and despite never meeting in person, we felt like we knew each other by the time the wedding came around because of how much time he put into getting to know us and going over every detail of the night. Party Girl Entertainment is run and operated by Amy Reid; an active Baltimore DJ, musician and events curator performing since 2010. Driven by music, a sincere joy of the dance floor and the power it has to bring people together, she formed PGE in 2019 with this goal in mind. She is accommodating and welcomes venues both intimate and expansive. In 2017, The Baltimore Sun deemed Reid as one of “10 Baltimore Musicians on the Rise.” She has also been featured in Baltimore Magazine’s “Faces of Pride” issue in 2019. Her favorite party starters are Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance.”

“Amy was the DJ for our November 2024 wedding. As the music sets the vibe, we wanted someone who really understood what we were looking for and understood the music we like and our tastes. After a horrible experience talking with another vendor, we immediately clicked with Amy and felt that she understood what we were looking for (Gay dance pop!). Communication with her was straightforward and simple, and she took our basic playlists for different parts of the night and blended them to reflect our style and set the appropriate mood. She executed the music cues during our outdoor ceremony perfectly which we believe helped to elevate the whole experience. But the star of our experience with her was an amazingly packed and vibrant dance floor for the whole time. We got so many compliments on the music and everyone from our friends to coworkers and older relatives had a great time. One of our requests was to play a ton of Chappell Roan and Amy delivered, including a (potentially original?) dance mix of Pink Pony Club that was honestly transcendent. She even played a special song for a plushie toss (it’s a story) without our prompting. Every part of working with her was wonderful and we’d wholehearted recommend her to any couple in the area looking for a wedding DJ. First two pictures by Abby Carissimo.”
