We were so lucky to celebrate our wedding at A Private Estate, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. When we were searching for a venue, we visited A Private Estate in the depth of winter during a snowstorm, but even then, we immediately knew it was the perfect place for us. Ripley, the owner, was friendly and direct, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making sure people had an amazing experience. The property was beautifully maintained, and the convenience of having the Carriage House accommodation along with the barn for the reception made it a much better value than most other venues we considered. We chose to have our ceremony outside, overlooking the Hudson River, which created a breathtaking and peaceful setting for our vows. The manor house made for a stunning backdrop for our family photos, adding a touch of elegance to the day. We held our reception in the barn, which we highly recommend to other couples. The rustic charm of the space, combined with the elegance of the estate, created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Our mid-August wedding was made even more memorable by the beauty and ambiance of the setting. The property manager, Jack, went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Not only did he assist us with practical matters, like putting up blinds in the Carriage House to help our family members' kids sleep, but he also saved the day when a special bottle of wine we had intended to keep was accidentally thrown out by the caterers. Jack took it upon himself to dig it up and return it to us—an act of kindness we won’t forget. We are incredibly grateful for the hospitality and attention to detail from both Jack and Ripley. When we started planning our wedding, we knew that we wanted our guests to truly experience the simple beauty of the Hudson Valley. That is what led us to the Abeel House. Our entire day was magical. I walked down the aisle on a little pebble path, surrounded on both sides by wildflowers. Our wedding guests were seated on hay bales in the prairie, the sun on their backs and the stream behind them. After our ceremony, we celebrated in the restored barn behind the historic Dutch stone house. We split the barn into three sections — one to seat our guests for dinner, one for the dance floor, drinks, and dessert tables, and one for the local bluegrass band we hired. As evening came, we turned on the twinkle lights in the barn and danced the night away. You could see the stars through the open windows.

My husband and I just got married at the Caboose and cannot say enough good things about the venue and its team. There's something magical about it. The space is gorgeous, warm, and inviting. The lighting, the garden, the intimate, communal feel, the food presentation. The food is by far the best you'll have. All of our guests agreed and were truly raving about it. It is by no means typical "wedding food" and is one of the many elements that makes this venue special. Not only was the food better than most restaurants, but the menu is so unique and highly customizable. Their focus on seasonal ingredients is truly special. If you're looking to have an elevated but understated dinner and dance party, this is the venue for you. The staff was so kind and executed our vision better than we could have imagined. You'd never know the venue/team is new. The Caboose is perfect and we could not recommend it or the entire team enough. Even the getting ready space above Kitty's restaurant was perfect. What a special place! We were blown away and can't wait to see what else this team does. They really know what they're doing here.

Rokeby allows for so much flexibility- we could choose where to have the ceremony, where to have the reception, whether or not to stay overnight in the mansion. We could structure our day however we wanted knowing that we had no restrictions other than what time the reception had to end. Marina's love and attachment to Rokeby shone through and transferred to us. The view cannot be beat, the grounds are gorgeous and the porch is the perfect location for cocktail hour.

My husband Chris and I were married at M&D Farm this weekend and are now soaking up the afterglow radiating from the happiest day of our lives. My partner and I planned a wedding in less than 6 months at Buttermilk Falls. From the minute we stepped on the property, we knew we loved it. The grounds are so well kept, the event planners and staff are so friendly! There are several options for your big day and no hidden fees when working with the folks here. Our event planner Morgan was phenomenal. She kept us on track, checking in regularly and responding in a timely manner to our every small question. Once the time came for our wedding weekend, Buttermilk Falls exceeded our expectations. Our families loved our welcome event with freshly made pizza and the best charcuterie. The kids in our family loved exploring the grounds and seeing all the animals. Our wedding day was magical despite it raining precisely during our outdoor ceremony, and the barn was the perfect spot for our group of 75 to eat, drink, and dance the night away! THE FOOD AT BUTTERMILK FALLS IS ALSO PHENOMENAL. Truly cannot be said enough. The ingredients are fresh, the menus are thoughtful and the staff is incredible. I highly recommend this venue and would absolutely plan a wedding here again if I had to do it over. You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I met and got engaged in the Catskill Mountains, so it was so important to us that we also got married there. We found Spillian from an online search, and my wife was instantly drawn to the place; I was skeptical. But after touring it for the first time and meeting the owners - Mark and Leigh - it was apparent this was the only place we would want to get married. At Spillian there are no rules, and intentionality is the driving force behind every decision. From the food, to the people, to the actual wedding day, if you can dream it they can accommodate it. We wanted to do our rehearsal dinner there, and they asked us what we wanted for food. I tentatively proposed a build-your-own Bahn Mi bar and Mark wrote back a delicious, detailed menu, complete with boba tea. The food was excellent, and the fact that they have some rooms for you and some guests to stay on site made it even more special. We elected to have our bridal party there and it was so nice to be able to spend some time with them before and after the wedding. We came with all of our own decorations, and our flowers were dropped off the night before, and we were nervous about getting everything set up that day. But Alex and Sam, our day-of coordinators, took care of everything and make it look even better than we had ever imagined. And when it came to the day of, we were so overwhelmed that it was hard to make snap decisions. Sam and Alex were so patient with us, and really helped guide us through the day. I can't sing their praises enough but will publicly thank them here for allowing us to have the wedding of our dreams.

The only way I know how to describe my wedding weekend is that it was totally magical Kim and her team pay attention to details and run a very well oiled machine that made wedding planning way less stressful than I heard it was supposed to be. My partner Sky and I had the dream summer wedding we envisioned at Seven Ponds. For our wedding we wanted to emulate these weekend trips we do upstate with a close group of friends and just make it bigger to include our family. Seven Ponds farm provided our two requirements of what we were looking for - a big house that could fit all our friends and a swimming pond right on the property. We also really appreciated that we didn't need to hire a wedding planner and could utilize the venues resources for all the planning aspects. We really appreciated how the Seven Ponds staff let us do our own thing throughout the weekend for a really relaxed environment, but then whenever we needed them they were right there helping with things like doing a practice run of the ceremony and answering specific questions about the house etc. It was also so wonderful that the staff were able to handle things like setting up the tables and the candles for us for the wedding dinner. Overall the forms and calls for the planning process were really helpful. We did have a little frustration at the wedding tasting as we thought it was an opportunity to ask questions about the food and overall found out that they really don't want you asking many questions and would prefer you to just read the written packet they provide without interacting in person with questions. I would also recommend being well versed on the packet you purchased as they won't be able to answer questions about what packet you bought. This was a bit different than we expected and knowing what I know now I might recommend not bringing family or friends to the tasting or otherwise just preparing them to just fill out the paperwork quietly as us not realizing this made for a more difficult tasting experience. There was also one staff member at the tasting who was a bit rude to our family members and I was so worried that this negative energy would be reflected at our wedding so I asked for a different wedding coordinator to lead our wedding. Overall the impersonal nature of the tasting also just made me really worried that the wedding would have the same feel and so I wanted to include this to note that while the tasting process wasn't as personal this was not the case at the wedding and the wedding atmosphere was really lovely. After the tasting I asked for Rosie to be our lead wedding coordinator as she had a much warmer energy and I can't recommend Rosie enough. She truly made our wedding experience. If you're looking for a wedding coordinator who has a graceful upbeat energy, stays calm and is easy to communicate with definitely ask for Rosie. There was a big storm on the day of our wedding and Rosie was so helpful staying calm and telling me to not loose hope about doing the ceremony outside. Morten was also really great with a specific weather device he had that allowed us to see when we had a good window to do the ceremony outside and very happy to say it all worked out and we got our dream outdoor ceremony. Overall I really got the wedding I dreamed of and we had such a relaxed and personal atmosphere. We really appreciated all the work the staff did to set up the wedding which allowed us to really just have fun, enjoy and not worry about logistical details. We so appreciated the flower package the venue provided for setting up the flowers and the bonfire packages. Overall we loved our wedding so much and are so happy we went with Seven Ponds! :)
