“We worked with Michael and the team at Gemini for our wedding at Ballyowen this past week, and they were great. Michael was easy to work with and great at making some changes on the fly and checking in with us through the night for a vibe check. That being said, Gemini absolutely nailed the vibe all night and had everyone dancing and having a good time. They really paid attention to crowd reaction and kept the music going in specific themes to match the room's energy. “Worked with Matt and the GBE team for my wedding in September. We worked closely with Matt (our dj/MC) since the first introductory call and he was so friendly and SO helpful throughout the whole wedding process. We loved that there was a questionnaire to fill out about any detail you can think about for the wedding (a lot of ones we didnt even think about until seeing it on the questionnaire!). After completion of that and about 1-2 months before the wedding we had another video call to review everything and Matt listened so well to our taste. He understood what songs we wanted to be played and what were absolute no's during the wedding. Whatever you wanted - he will listen! Now to the wedding day. We pretty much did not leave that dance floor, only to breath and get a drink here and there because you gotta rest. Voices were lost by the end of the night and that is the best sign there is to a great night. The music was amazing. Vibes were spectacular. Lighting was great. Such a great dance floor and music!!! He also had 2 other guys helping out and they were an incredible team! They bring the energy to the wedding and it was just absolutely amazing. We also did the Photo Booth through them and the quality of those pictures were amazing!!! Also the man running the Photo Booth - he was AMAZING. Sometimes you run out of poses when doing the Photo Booth but this man did not let that happen! He guided you on what pose to hit and it was so helpful. That could be looked at as a small little help but it's such a BIG help. The Photo Booth had a line all night long. We also did the late night snacks (Wendy's) and the guy who set up and manned it was so incredibly nice. He did a great job and kept whatever we wanted off to the side so he was sure we were able to get some ourselves and not miss. It was the perfect touch after hours of drinking to have that snack when leaving.”

“Dan was absolutely amazing as the DJ for our wedding at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in 2026! He struck such a great balance between being organized, professional, and genuinely fun to work with. From the beginning, we felt confident that he understood the kind of night we wanted. Our music taste was all over the map — traditional Chinese music, ’90s emo, K-pop, country, and classic wedding dance floor staples — and Dan somehow made it all feel cohesive. “11/10! Absolutely use Non-Traditional Wedding DJs! We had the absolute best experience working with DJ Nico Rojo and owner Ben Boylan at Non-Traditional Wedding DJs. My wife and I got married in October 2025 at Farm to People in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Music is very important to me and I cared a lot about our choice of DJ, and consequently met with a lot of different DJ services. It was immediately clear that NT DJs would be our choice once I met with them. Nico and Ben both convey high levels of competence and professionalism while retaining the feeling of a business owned and operated by real people, and importantly real people who genuinely care about your wedding and experience. When I think wedding DJ, my mind, and I think many people's, first goes to "what music is being played during the reception when everyone is on the dance floor?" You'll actually work with your DJ for way more than that - ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and maybe more depending on your special day. Nico was not only great at that first, narrow idea of a DJ, but he was consistently awesome for every part of our wedding day. Whether he was determining what part of the evening music should be played, mixing and sequencing, or picking music that 'rhymed' with the rest of our selections, I felt very comfortable and at ease knowing he would crush it (and he did). Importantly, we are low-key and understated people and wanted our DJ to reflect that - we wanted to skip the common DJ-as-Hypeman setup that usually includes yelling into the microphone for folks to "get out on the dancefloor." Nico worked with us to understand how we wanted announcements and intro's to go and was happy to customize to our preferences. Everything was so smooth.
