PK and the Mighty Seven has been celebrating with newly married couples since 2016! We were originally formed as a Jamiroquai tribute band, playing mostly music by the famed UK group along with other songs we enjoyed. Since that time, we've expanded our song list and played many weddings, which we love to do!

“Let me start by saying that we are not the type to write reviews for anybody - good or bad - but for the sake of future individuals/couples looking to book PK and the Mighty Seven we feel obligated to say that if you are looking for a band to entertain whatever party you are hosting you MUST choose PK and the Mighty Seven. To start, Matt was incredibly communicative and responsive during the initial planning stages, promptly responding to e-mails and joining several Zoom calls leading up to our event. We had a vision for our special day and they accommodated each and every one of our requests. On the day of they arrived early and did the necessary prep work to ensure they were fully situated to provide our guests with the night of a lifetime. They took special care to accommodate our unusual first dance request, song recommendations, and the ambiance we sought to instill. We had a wide array of guests and the overwhelmingly consistent feedback we received was that the band was AMAZING. No exaggeration - the majority of our guests said they were the best band they'd ever experienced. If you are getting married or have a special event in their area you will be doing yourselves an immense disservice not to hire them to make your evening as spectacular as you want it to be.”

“We found Terrence very early on in our wedding process. His gallery had some of the most beautiful photos we had ever seen; some were dramatic, which is what my husband loves, others were soft, warm, and candid, which were my favorites. To find a photographer that could fit both of our styles was so exciting. Terrence’s package was over our budget, in part because we were marrying in NY, so would have to pay a travel fee. I was convinced I could find someone within budget. I searched and agonized for an additional two months. Finally, my now-husband convinced me that the photos would be the one thing from the day we would get to keep forever and we sprang for Terrence and let me tell you, both of us have agreed the extra cost was more then justified. In high heat and humidity and looming storms, Terrence did everything he could to keep us on-schedule and to get incredible photos at a venue he had never even been to. We just received our sneak peak gallery and all of us are in awe of the photos he captured. We look forward to working with Terrence in the future for other big life moments, and you should absolutely book him too - engagement shoot or wedding, Terrence will capture your moment perfectly!”

“When I was looking for floral vendors for my July 2024 wedding in Block Island, I came across Ayla’s Instagram, and I knew immediately I had to work with her. I fell in love with the whimsical, natural, English-garden vibe of her florals, and I just thought she was the coolest person. From the first conversation we had, it felt like she “got” me, suggesting flowers, designs, and concepts better than I could possibly articulate myself. She was incredibly thoughtful putting together multiple proposals that fit our vision and our budget. The entire planning process couldn’t have been easier because of how sweet, communicative, and easy Ayla was to work with. Cut to the wedding day, and I was honestly speechless seeing her work come to life in our tent. Ayla is an ARTIST. She created a gorgeous 65 ft table runner for our head table that was so dreamy I still think about it. The bouquets were exactly what I was looking for - natural and simple but packed a stunning punch. Then there was the tent entrance installation, which was so beautiful on its own but also so thoughtfully designed to enhance the view and setting of our venue. Multiple guests came up to me on the wedding day (and even in the weeks afterwards) commenting on how the florals were some of the most unique and beautiful they had seen. I truly could go on and on. Ayla and her amazing team at shade studio exceeded every expectation a million times over. Hands down, Ayla is the best and I couldn’t recommend her more.”

“It’s been one month since our wedding and every day I go back to how absolutely beautiful the day was. Liz and her team were the central part of that. With a December winter wedding, many of the traditional floral options were not applicable, but with Liz's guidance, we realized very quickly that just because most flowers may not be in season, doesn't mean that it is still not an absolutely beautiful time of year. Liz and her team effortlessly draped beautiful garland throughout our venue, transformed the central staircase into something out of a storybook, and made a winter arch piece that it still hanging on our front porch as a stunning winter decoration. It was dotted with cinnamon sticks, and ornaments, and dried orange peels in a way that we could never have thought of. It was so creative and magical and made it clear that Liz had seen our vision and expanded on it in such an incredible way. Additionally, when Liz walked in with the bridal bouquets, everyone could not stop admiring and obsessing over them. With the gorgeous variety of blooms and greens, it was truly the most beautiful bouquet I could have imagined. Even more so than the pinterest boards we all obsess over. Lastly, Liz's professionalism was second to none. She made us feel so comfortable and supported throughout the process. She was even able to incorporate pieces of my gown that had been cut off during alterations to add an even more personal, and sparkly(!), touch to the bouquets. I cannot recommend Liz enough. She made my husband and I feel so special and seen during our day, and I hope that you are lucky enough to feel the same way!”

“Salty Broad (Christine) was an amazing vendor to work with. She was easy to contact, responsive, and warm. Always professional. She handled my family his family **amazing** on the day of (a feat!), organized multiple second shooters after one dropped out, helped us get coverage of our rehearsal dinner, provided TONS of great recommendations for other vendors - as we were planning our wedding from out of state this was irreplaceable and generous (she recommended our welcome drinks food truck, menu items at our venue, hotels (literally helped us secure our waterfront room), DJ etc.). I really can't say enough good things. Christine's photography style captured the mood of our wedding day. When I look back at the photos, I remember what it ** felt like ** on the day of the wedding, and she captures the laughs/ tears/ joy and emotions of the day better than any other wedding photographer we've seen (and we've been to loads of weddings/ seen tons of photos). If you want to capture the *feel* of the day - more so than have particularly staged photos or heavy edits- this is definitely the choice. No regrets on not having videographer for this exact reason - when I look at her photos I can really feel the day. She was on time for everything, thought of everything, was good-humored, and *IMPORTANT* calming & easy to be around (day of that ended up mattering a LOT). afterwards she got us our sneak peaks in a timely manner, photos in a timely manner (despite us getting married at the literal peak of wedding season) and we recently received an absolutely stunning wedding album that we will CHERISH forever. I really can't emphasize enough how important it ended up being for me that the photos remind me of what it felt like to be there on the day, more so than that everyone is posed in a certain way or edited into oblivion. “What a dream Emilee was to work with, from start to finish. OUR CEREMONY PARTY: we decided on a private, courthouse elopement on a Wednesday, a 60 person reception party on a Friday. In both, our biggest priority was having a photographer capture the intimate, joyful small details. We went with Emilee because of her eye for the beauty in the small things. She captured both our days perfectly. DOCUMENTARY STYLE: Emilee was perfect behind the scenes, capturing beautiful moments of our friends and family, small details of the courthouse with just us. I look back at some of these photos and ask "how did she even get that?!" She has such an eye. POSED: We had about 20 minutes dedicated to posed, family photos during our reception. Emilee had our families relaxed and laughing, quickly swapping members in and out. In some newlywed photos, we sought her advice for how to pose. She gave quick direction, made us feel confident, and always found the perfect light. COMMUNICATION SPEED: Delivered on every promise, quick replies. Emilee was 15 minutes early to both locations, we never had to worry. PERSONALLY: We met with Emilee about 4 months before our big days.
