“If we could give The Hook Club more stars, we would! Let me get my one gripe out of the way at the top here: I’m pretty sure the only reason my now husband agreed to a wedding celebration was to hire The Hook Club after seeing them at a friend’s wedding before we met. It was the only part of the wedding planning process he felt truly passionate about from the jump – we knew we wanted them before we even had a venue or date and went so far as to clear our potential dates with them before booking anything else. Fast forward, and Dan made the band planning process so supported and seamless that my husband’s one job went off without a hitch. The problem? Despite me planning every other single little detail of our three-day wedding weekend, the first thing that every single guest complimented (and still raves above, 1 month later) was THE BAND! But in truth, we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are absolutely ecstatic with our choice of hiring The Hook Club for our wedding. We did acoustic guitars for the ceremony, sax and tracks for cocktail and band and DJ for reception. THC was outstanding to work with from the jump. Dan is a wealth of knowledge and organization, and brings a calm, cool, collected vibe through every step of the planning process. Not to mention, he’s a great musician who can come discuss timeline with you while also playing the base day of :D. The process THC uses to help plan is smooth and clear. The communication was great throughout – we knew what to expect from the first planning call all the way up to some adhoc timeline changes day of. The band has an extensive repertoire and was able to take in our song, vibe, and timeline requests while also using their extensive experience to guide us along the way. The music carried the vibe throughout the day – from guitars at the ceremony to sax and tracks leading through cocktail hour and a mix of dance sets, slow dances, and expert MC’ing on the dance floor, we couldn’t get enough. So much so, that we extended the end time of the event just to have more fun on the dance floor with THC! Everyone was so nice, supportive, energetic and just brought their outstandingly talented A game and the absolute best vibe. The band got out on the dance floor with us, led us in call and response and a little choreographed proud Mary moment. Our first dance song is not a very common song, not only did THC learn it for us, but they provided us a track of their composition beforehand so we could practice the dance. You’ll see in the pictures my face when I first heard them play it – completely awestruck! That was pretty much my inner face the entire rest of the night in their presence. I have so many fond memories of engaging with THC throughout our wedding. If I could do it again, I’d hire THC without a second thought.”

We were originally formed as a Jamiroquai tribute band, playing mostly music by the famed UK group along with other songs we enjoyed. “Let me start by saying that we are not the type to write reviews for anybody - good or bad - but for the sake of future individuals/couples looking to book PK and the Mighty Seven we feel obligated to say that if you are looking for a band to entertain whatever party you are hosting you MUST choose PK and the Mighty Seven. To start, Matt was incredibly communicative and responsive during the initial planning stages, promptly responding to e-mails and joining several Zoom calls leading up to our event. We had a vision for our special day and they accommodated each and every one of our requests. On the day of they arrived early and did the necessary prep work to ensure they were fully situated to provide our guests with the night of a lifetime. They took special care to accommodate our unusual first dance request, song recommendations, and the ambiance we sought to instill. We had a wide array of guests and the overwhelmingly consistent feedback we received was that the band was AMAZING. No exaggeration - the majority of our guests said they were the best band they'd ever experienced. If you are getting married or have a special event in their area you will be doing yourselves an immense disservice not to hire them to make your evening as spectacular as you want it to be.”

She was clear, communicative, and professional, but every time we talked it still felt like talking to an old friend. (Several of our guests assumed that she WAS an old friend of ours who happened to be a photographer — that’s how warm and chill she is.) Ahead of time she was great about getting details of exactly what we wanted, so that on the big day she just slipped in and out seamlessly without pulling us away from the fun. She was also careful to figure out exactly what we wanted the vibes of the final product to be (candid, colorful, joyful) and she delivered in spades. The finished products are beautiful and were delivered quickly (both the digital copies and the physical prints we ordered). We cannot recommend her highly enough!”
