Based in the Northern New Jersey area and embracing the East Coast and beyond, The Fox & The Hare want to document your love story! Each of us have backgrounds in fine art photography and have been photographing weddings together for over a decade. And whether we’re there for the happy moments or the emotional moments, we want to document it all.

Jen is the “Hare” because she might be small, but she is quick and tries to be everywhere at once. Steve is the “Fox” because he is stealthy with his photojournalistic style, you hardly know he’s there. We don't just sign up for a job to be your photographers, we want to walk away and feel like we've become old friends.

Photographers who feel like best friends!
Where do we even begin with Jen & Steve? We would recommend them to ANYONE who wants a meaningful experience from start to finish and photos to cherish for a lifetime. From our very first inquiry call with them, Jen and Steve's enthusiasm, attention to detail, care, humor, and expertise were so clear and helped us to feel confident that our wedding photos would turn out spectacularly (which they did). After the inquiry call, they created a beautiful proposal that captured so much of what we hoped for (details of our love story, our priorities for the big day, and our hopes for the aesthetic/vibe of the photos). One of our (many) favorite things about working with Jen and Steve: they made it clear that their job was to roll with the punches and adapt to an ever-evolving set of circumstances *and* deliver high quality photos that captured our day. We had a WILDLY rainy day and (even though we KNOW it must've involved a high level of coordination with our venue and other vendors) Jen and Steve made it feel seamless and effortless for us as the couple. Their communication (leading up to the day, on the big day, and afterwards) is incredible; they are proactive and kind. They listened so thoughtfully to what we did NOT want to see in our photos (from the smallest pet peeves to more broad themes) and delivered accordingly while meeting the moment with their wisdom and vision. We are obSESSED with our photos and will treasure them for a lifetime. I would encourage anyone looking for a dynamic duo who feel like friends to check out Jen and Steve's offerings: you will be glad you did!!

The Best Duo!
We can't express enough how happy we are that we chose The Fox & The Hare Photography. Steve and Jen are so professional, fun, and talented. The photos are breathtaking and they made us feel so comfortable throughout the day. It felt like we were just hanging out with our friends, while also getting incredible wedding photos! I can't recommend them enough!!

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Jen & Steve at The Fox & The Hare! They shot our Christmas wedding and captured the vibe, energy, and emotion in every photo! Not only are they highly skilled and professional, they are also kind and just great people to be around on the most important day of your life. We felt so relieved to be able to fully trust them with what was one of the most important parts of our wedding to us (photos). Since they are a husband/wife duo, it was super helpful when they were able to quickly show us posing references by demonstrating with each other. We are obsessed with our images. The coloring, the authentic moments they captured, and use of lighting…all just perfection. Look no further if you’re in need of a highly experienced, talented, and genuine photography team! We also booked a content creator through Fox and Hare and were so happy with our experience (thank you Louie!). It was really nice having a photo/video team who work together often! It just made everything run so smoothly!

The Best Wedding Photographers
We truly cannot say enough good things about Jen and Steve. From the very beginning, they made us feel so comfortable and understood, which meant everything to us on such an emotional, fast-paced day. They were incredibly professional while also being so down-to-earth, and the entire experience felt smooth, effortless, and genuinely fun. They went above and beyond in ways we didn’t expect, even making sure we stayed hydrated throughout the night with electrolyte packets, which shows how thoughtfully they looked out for us. It was such a joy seeing them sing along to songs with us and fully share in the energy of the night. What really blew us away were our preview photos. It's amazing how talented they are in capturing all the perfect moments throughout the day. Thank you for documenting our day so beautifully.

Picture Perfect Photography
Jen & Steve are simply the best. They’re a husband and wife duo whose energy really shines through in their work. I’m a ham, but my husband is a bit camera-shy, and they made each of us feel comfortable and collaborative and like we were the only people in the world that day. They were willing to be silly with me and to coax my husband out of his shell and get his personality to come through. They were incredibly easy to get in touch with and in the pre-wedding video chats we had with them, we found ourselves going over our time by just chatting and really enjoying spending time together. This was the most important aspect in our decision to have them photograph our wedding. We knew that because they made us feel so comfortable, that would shine through in the photos and we were right. They left our wedding at 10PM on September 4 and by 6PM on September 5 we had 130 preview photos that I can’t stop staring at. They were with us for 10 hours and spent every minute of it making sure the best day ever was captured forever. We will absolutely be using them for any professional photos we might want in the future.
