Based in the Northern New Jersey area and embracing the East Coast and beyond, The Fox & The Hare want to document your story. Each of us have backgrounds in fine art photography and have been photographing weddings together for a decade. And whether we’re there for the happy moments or the emotional moments, we want to document it all.
Jen is the “Hare” because she might be small, but she is quick and tries to be everywhere at once. Steve is the “Fox” because he is stealthy with his photojournalistic style, you hardly know he’s there. We don't just sign up for a job to be your photographers, we want to walk away and feel like we've become old friends.

BEST INVESTMENT EVER
We LOOOVED Jen and Steve so much! We had such an amazing experience with them for both our engagement shoot, my bridal shower and our wedding day. They are so personable, easy to work with and honestly just fun. They made the whole experience so comfortable and enjoyable. I also loved that they were down for anything! We were looking for photographers that could capture candid and natural moments, and they totally delivered. Our photos are the perfect reflection of our relationship and the love and happiness we felt on the day. I really appreciated how they were detailed-oriented and kept the day flowing. I didn’t have to worry about getting things done on time because they were so on top of it. Also, they went above and beyond in general. They always made sure that my hair looked good, that my dress was laying nicely, that people looked their best for the photos and that we were getting the shots we wanted. My bridal party and family commented on how great they were too! I get compliments nonstop about my photos and how beautifully they came out. I will recommend these guys until I’m blue in the face, they were worth every cent and I’m so grateful that we have these photos to cherish forever! I also hired them for my baby shower and am in love with how the photos came out!
They Make Us Want To Do It All Again!!!
Words cannot describe how much we ENJOYED working with Jen and Steve!! They are an absolute power couple and talented photographers! From our first FaceTime with Jen and Steve we could tell that they both were very intentional and detail oriented (i.e. carrying lint brushes and makeup wipes to clean the groom's suit etc so that pictures could be spotless) and showed care and interest about us and our vision for our wedding day! We were impressed from day 1 on their level of commitment to their couples leading up to the wedding!!! Day of the wedding both Jen and Steve cared for us WHILE taking amazing pictures!!!! Thanks Jen for pinning up my hair after the ceremony when it was falling down and thanks Steve for hunting down our wedding rings post ceremony (oops) and for bringing us water so we could stay hydrated. When we look at our pictures what stands out to us are the moments big and small - everything that encompassed our special day!! These memories will last a lifetime and we are so grateful to Jen and Steve for capturing so many (if not all) of the precious and quirky moments of our wedding day!! Hope to work with this AMAZING photography couple again!! They are worth every penny!!!
Jen and Steven are the absolute best!
I wish my husband and I could get married 100 more times so that we could work with Jen and Steven again lol! They were seriously the best! We had our engagement and wedding photography done by them and we are so thrilled with how the process went. Everything from start to finish was clear and they helped us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I felt so confident with them and comfortable throughout the entire process. They were so kind and just genuine, awesome people. They are also amazing photographers, and our photos are so beautiful! Jen and Steve were amazing at helping us find and articulate our vision for our engagement photos and wedding photography. They really took the time to get to know us and that helped so much. You can tell working with them that they want you to have the best experience possible. Long story short, if you want to have the best wedding ever make sure Jen and Steven are your photographers!
Made our Day
All I can say is, we are actually upset the wedding is over cause we won’t be able to hang out with Jen and Steve anymore! These two are some of the most talented and kind hearted artists we have ever met. Simply by looking at their portfolio you can tell how timelines and unique their style is - but working with them was a true pleasure. We did an engagement session with them in Sparta and not only did we get the most beautiful sunset pictures that screamed our personality of laughing and love, but we had such a fun day. Jen had so many cool ideas to get shots that we ended up hanging in our house. At our wedding, Jen and Steve were extremely professional, punctual, and organized. They listened to us and understood what shots were most important to us; they tracked the weather (as it was going to rain) so well that we ended up getting a 2 hour pocket without rain for our Bride Groom shots. At the church, they were both so stealth that you didn’t even realize that they were there! I started crying before I walked down the aisle, and while I got to know Jen really well cause she was with the girls in the morning, Steve was there before I walked down the aisle and with a calming smile provided words of comfort. I do not have one bad thing to say about them, and would refer them a thousand times over and over.
