Like some it started with a little camera originally to capture our children as they went on field trips, vacations, and other documentations of life. “We were lucky enough to stumble upon Nova Soul when we were looking to do our engagement photos. Sarah was absolutely amazing and gave us the engagement photos of our dreams. When we unexpectedly had to cancel our destination wedding, because of the pandemic, Sarah was my first email. We were thrilled she was available to photograph our elopement ceremony. We had high expectations, because we already knew how amazing she was, but she absolutely blew it out of the water. “From the moment we booked Katie for our wedding, her communication was clear, timely, and backed up with a clearly written contract and follow-up texts. “My partner and I reached out to Xiao for an elopement photo shoot after we got our marriage license. Xiao is always prompt in her responses and offered seamless communication. As newbies, we were a bit confused about the steps on how to get the license, although it was not her job, Xiao gave us many tips. Our elopement photoshoot date was a bit rainy. Xiao offered a few indoor photoshoot spot options. We ultimately went with the Library of Congress, and Xiao even helped us reserve the tickets. Xiao instructed us on how to pose when we felt a bit awkward. We had so many random funny encounters with other visitors at Library of Congress and they gave us many compliments. Xiao went above and beyond to mark sure the day was special for us and that the photoshoot felt personal and fun. My partner is usually camera shy but he eventually opened up. The photos also turned around super quick. The photos came out beautiful although it was a gloomy day. We picked out a dozen photos of our choice two days after the photoshoot and Xiao made the edits turn around super smoothly. Highly recommend booking her to make your special day memorable as well!”

“Do yourself a favor and hire Ashley for your wedding, event, family photos, etc. - she is absolutely AMAZING!! We hired her for our June wedding and it was the best money we spent, hands down. Everything from coordinating our engagement shoot to planning the shots we wanted at the wedding was seamless. Ashley is not just a wedding photographer; she is a true artist and has an incredible talent for styling shoots on the fly, troubleshooting in challenging environments, and making everyone feel SO comfortable.
