“I wanted a wedding venue in the mountains of North Carolina. I viewed so many venues from Salem to Banner Elk. Nothing compared to The Fields of Blackberry Cove. They were easy to set up a viewing appointment with. They walked us all around the property, including multiple ceremony options and a large guest house with a bridal suite and two guest bathrooms. Doug, the owner, offers his own catering which was beyound incredible. We did a buffet style and it was all delicious. Doug even made me my own cauliflower steak - I'm a vegetarian. Through the entire process Doug and his team, especially Carmen, were a pleasure to work with.”

“Our wedding at this venue was truly unforgettable. After nearly two years of planning, the day finally arrived and it became the most magical, ethereal celebration we could’ve imagined. From our very first visit, we knew this place was something special, and a huge part of that was Lesley, the venue owner. She made us feel welcomed, valued, and completely equal from the start, something that was heartbreakingly rare for us to find as a two-bride wedding. Her warmth and sincerity were a major reason we chose this space. Throughout the planning process, Lesley was such a steady, supportive presence. Her recommendations from our florist to the chef ended up being everything we hoped for and so much more. It felt like she intuitively understood our vision and connected us with people who brought it to life with care and creativity. One thing we appreciated more than we can express was how she opened up the vineyard and cottages to us even before the wedding letting us enjoy the space, breathe it in, and feel like it was already a part of our story. Those moments made the venue feel like home long before we officially said “I do.” On the wedding day itself, everything was seamless. Her team was calm, organized, and genuinely invested in making sure we could just be present. Not once did we feel stressed every detail flowed naturally, letting us soak in every second of the day we’d spent nearly two years dreaming up. The property is breathtaking in every direction. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was and how smooth the entire celebration felt. We’re endlessly grateful for Lesley and her team, and we truly can’t wait to come back and celebrate anniversaries, milestones, and all the moments ahead in the place that started our forever.”

“Emerald Ridge made every part of our weekend so perfect and special. This location and views are absolutely STUNNING. The owners truly cared so much and made our day magical. Their organization and communication are both top notch. We recommend using the coordinator at the venue, Malorie, as she was the true MVP and knows every detail at this venue back to front. “We had our reception at Trailside this past Fall of 2023. The day of, everything went perfectly. We were given ample time to set up, freedom to move around in the space, and ability to utilize it as we saw fit. The venue usually has live music, but they booked an acoustic band, which set up in the main dining area of the brewery. Our reception was able to play its own music, from speakers we brought, and not feel impacted from the live music going on for the rest of the patrons. Our event did not co-mingle too much with the general public; however there was a couple people that drifted in and we politely asked them to leave. As stated above, our overall day of was all we could have wanted and more. The days leading up to our reception were very stressful due to renovations that weren't quite ready for our event. Since we were the first party in this space, we had to bare the growing pains, which Trailside tried to accommodate for as much as possible. I believe since we were the "test" party, this team will grow from the experience. All in all, our reception day was all we could have wanted and more, so when it came down to the wire, the team delivered.”

“We got married at Bent Creek Lodge on 8/6/22 and rented out the whole lodge and the Luhn house for ourselves and our guests for the weekend. It was extra special that we were able to get married here, because we actually stayed here the weekend we got engaged as well! It meant so much that we were able to return and share the experience with our loved ones. I am not exaggerating when I say that it was one of the most magical weekends of our lives, and it would not have been possible without Randy, Linda, and the rest of the amazing Bent Creek Lodge crew! The all-inclusive wedding package made it so insanely easy for us to have a top-tier wedding with minimal fuss and headaches on our part. We had our venue, lodging for all of our guests, officiant, catering, cake, beer and wine, and flowers all in a one-stop shop which made everything so much easier. The only things we chose to coordinate with outside vendors was the photography, DJ, and hair and makeup. Randy and his crew handled everything else, and they did an excellent job on all of it. All of the food was incredible, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our guests with special dietary needs. The flowers and cake were beautiful, and Randy did a wonderful job officiating our ceremony. Just about every single guest came up to us at least once during the weekend to gush about what an amazing time they were having, and several approached us afterwards to tell us it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. The entire crew really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and like family. Bent Creek Lodge will always have an extra special place in our hearts, and we couldn't be more grateful.”

The bartenders went above and beyond with the slideshow clicking duty while working the bar! They had all required electornic capabilities for our set up. We had some delay with the projector, but it was promptly fixed during the meet and greet portion of our night. The venue is spacious with plenty of room for our 70 guests. The photobooth was such a fun additional! The bar had plenty of options, including options other than Hi-Wire beers. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of space. We were able to snag some photos over in the tasting room/cannery and those turned out to be some of my absolute favorite from the weekend. The bright colors of all the cans made for such a fun backdrop. We absolutely loved working with everyone at the Event Space!”

“This place is pure magic. It’s not just a stunning wedding venue, it’s a gorgeous weekend getaway in the mountains with 20 of your loved ones. A few weeks later and we’re still swooning over our wedding at Laurel Falls! We got married at the end of September and it was absolutely beautiful. We loved being able to spend Thursday-Sunday on site with our closest people, which gave us the chance to really slow the weekend down and savor every moment. We’re an out-of-town couple but we fell in love with Laurel Falls immediately when we saw it online. Kristen, the events director, and Jordan, the owner, were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire process. Jordan gave us a virtual tour of the venue and shared the site’s special history with us throughout. When we were in town, he also took the time to give us an in-person tour! Kristen is ON IT — she quickly responds to emails, helps navigate any challenges, and is just an all-around rockstar. “Where to begin. I will start off saying the most important – venue owners Amy and Shane Clark are truly some of the kindest people you will meet. The Venue at Rose Springs Farm was only the second venue my fiance (now husband) and I toured, but after meeting them and seeing the stunning venue I instantly knew we HAD to book it. I could just tell from that first encounter the passion, love, and joy they had for creating amazing wedding days. I went from feeling completely stressed about the task of planning a wedding to feeling like, “if I have the Clarks by my side I can totally do this.” So almost immediately we booked our date for about a year out and we also booked Amy to be our day-of-coordinator. Other than saying “yes” when Greg asked me to marry him, this was the best decision I made! Amy truly went above and beyond as a day-of-coordinator for us, and we are forever grateful. From many, many phone calls with me, either talking me out of a panic over the timeline or just brainstorming “what if” scenarios, to meetings in person where she helped me and my mom pick out the perfect décor from the HUGE stock of included items and helped me plan how the day would go. (Seriously, the décor closet is the place dreams are made of.) One of the many things I hold close to my heart and will remember forever was when I asked Amy and Shane how Greg and I could have a traditional Jewish wedding chuppah to get married under. Should I buy something? Should my dad try and build something? I showed them photos of a chuppah and I was met with “Oh! We can totally figure that out for you – we got you.” And they really did. Shane was able to construct two of the wedding arches they had together and Amy used her magic skills to make it beautiful with fabric and flowers. This is a perfect example of how the Clarks are, this is how they responded to anything at all during the planning process – with a kind and loving “we got you.” And Greg and I truly felt that. When it came to the wedding day we had no doubt in our mind the day would flow smoothly, and it did. If there was a hiccup – we didn't know about it! Amy did her day-of-coordinator duties beautifully and Shane kept the entire venue and staff running smoothly. Still to this day we do not know how he and his team manage to set up and take down chairs and move tables around so stealthy and quickly! Little things about that day that stood out in my mind that any couple thinking of booking Rose Springs Farm should know – the beautiful and spacious bridal suite had the sweetest mimosa bar set up for me and my bridesmaids. Lining up for the processional went so smoothly I didn't even realize it was happening until I heard my entrance song being played – that is how non-stressed they made me feel. The (included!) tealights were all lit on the tables when we walked into the reception space, and it was so twinkly and magical. Greg and I got a picnic basket at the end of the evening with food from our buffet and dessert in it. This made me tear up it was so sweet and made us able to have a cozy evening in the next night and relive the whole day over a meal we didn't have to worry about! When it comes to weddings, Amy and Shane REALLY, TRULY know what they are doing. I will recommend this venue to anyone I know who is getting married. I am so happy they are a part of our story and helped to get our “forever” off to a wonderful start. THANK YOU!”

“From the moment we started working with Emma at Castle Ladyhawke, we were impressed by their quick, efficient, and warm communication style. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, with an authentic, charming feeling that made our wedding day feel truly special. The food was fantastic and despite complications it was a beautiful and magical day. While our initial coordinator, Emma, was great to work with over the 8 months leading up to the wedding, we were disappointed to learn upon arrival that she would not be there on the day. Her replacement, Kelsie, arrived late, did not have our updated documents, failed to communicate with the vendors that there was a space for them on the third floor, and seemed to lack the positive energy and personal responsibility we had come to expect. There were also a few small hiccups, like the arch being set up incorrectly initially. But overall, we had a wonderful, memorable day for us and our guests.”

“It has taken me way too long for me to write this review, especially considering the fact that I think about Mountain Brook Vineyard every single day. (I’m not kidding, not a day goes by where I don’t think about Rebecca, the team, and the wine!) My husband and I visited 22 venues in North Carolina alone (we called it a “Holy Matrimony Mega Tour”) As a sommelier, choosing a place that has stand-out wines and a local terroir was essential for me. Dave Coventry is absolutely slaying—no kidding, this is some of the best wine that the East Coast has to offer. Rebecca runs a very tight ship and is not messing around when it comes to planning what many consider to be the best day of their lives (and our wedding was absolutely the best day of our lives, thanks to Rebecca). She went above and beyond in her communication, collaboration, and incorporating romantic personal touches into everything she could. For example, she applied our wedding emblem into our wine tasting cards, which was such a lovely surprise. She got to know our family and friends by name (and remembered their favorite wines!) Everything was so special and well-thought out. Our wedding would not have been anything close to as iconic as it was without Mountainbrook Vineyard. Every time we gather with people who attended, we hear something along the lines of “your wedding was the best wedding I have EVER been to!!” We have to agree Choosing to have our wedding at Mountainbrook was truly one of the best choices my husband and I have ever made. It marked the beginning of the countless choices we will make as a married couple, and seriously gave us a feeling of confidence and assuredness—a few of the many unforeseen blessings that Mountainbrook bestowed on us and our relationship. To all future couples considering celebrating your love at Mountainbrook: congratulations, you have stumbled upon one of the most spectacular hidden gems that Western NC has to offer! If you are dreaming of getting married at a venue that is unique, beautiful, and sees and honors you for who you are, look no further, this is the place for you! Now go meet Rebecca and taste their wines!!”
