My name is Vanessa, and storytelling is at the heart of everything I do; whether it’s through video, photo, or content tailored for social media. From helping you plan, to filming and photographing your wedding, to delivering your finished films and galleries within 4–6 weeks, we’re with you every step of the way. Any talented wedding videographer can create a 5-minute cinematic wedding film of your wedding but there's so much more to a wedding day than that. That is the most distinguishing feature about my work. While, I craft my videos around the love you share, the fun you have when it's just the two of you as well as the celebration with your family/guests is what makes each story so unique. So, as you'll notice in the examples, no two wedding videos are the same. I customize each wedding video I create to fit the couple I'm working with as well as the flow of the day, which will allow you to relive your day the way that it actually happened!

I was born and raised in Ukraine where I studied at a law school. When I moved to the USA in 2016, I dramatically switched my career path from a lawyer to a digital artist. I got a degree in Media Arts and Filmmaking and started shooting dance, fashion, music, and became a wedding videographer located in Chicago.

Knowing firsthand how special this moment is, and how nervous you may feel, my mission is to make you comfortable and be true to yourself.  Whether you are having an intimate wedding in a backyard or an elopement on a mountain top, I’m ready with my camera. I love coffee. I never leave home without it. I’m easy going. I love to chill. I’m a huge sports fan and I love watching Skip Bayless and others argue on Fox. Basketball was my first love and even in my thirties I still daydream about playing in the NBA. As a teenager, while most of my peers were listening to 2Pac and Biggie, I preferred Marvin Gaye, Al Green and The Temptations. I’ve been told that I have an old soul. At the end of the day I love life, I love my job and my customers always come first.

John Severson graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004 with degrees in Anthropology and Film. His passion for film has taken him all over the world, from Vietnam to Zanzibar. John is a Chicagoland native. After graduating and traveling, he returned back to Chicago’s Lakeview and South Loop neighborhoods. In 2009, he married his wife Sarah, and moved back to their native Oak Park to raise their two children, Stella and George. John is always available to chat with you about your ideas and answer any questions. He’s excited getting to know you as a couple and share your vision for your wedding day.

Paul Hairston is an award winning and nation-wide wedding, documentary and commercial filmmaker for over 13 years. He loves anything and everything about human storytelling and creating impact through the medium of film. He strives to capture your special day with earnestness, trust and top shelf visuals. Throughout his career he has worked to blend vérité filmmaking with a production value those stories and emotions deserve, while never getting in your way. Providing painterly and elegant coverage with an unobtrusive but attentive presence that documents every unique detail is Paul’s goal with every film.

Monday through Friday we shoot food, ads, TV, live events, products videos, documentaries, narrative films, corporate stuff and more. But when the weekend rolls around, we shoot weddings. Our appreciation for directing and videography is rivaled by none. Whether you want something candid and simple or a more elaborately planned wedding video, we'll be there- caffeinated and ready to go! We can now boast that 6 of Chicago’s best videographers are on the Whole Heart Video associate roster. To keep quality high (and to make sure we have back up shooters), we limit the number of weddings accepted to 3 per day.

Hi, I am Emily! I'm happy that you've landed on my page. I specialize in covering videography as well as photography. I have been shooting weddings since 2013. I fell in love with watching people be in love! You can't find a better gig. I went on to receive my Bachelor of Arts in 2019. I've really been able to put my education to work in regards to all things wedding films.
