About Rhys Ladhani Media

Rhys Ladhani

Owner/Creative Director/Lead Videographer

Our approach to wedding filmmaking is simple- deliver the most sincere, organic recollection of the day by acting as unnoticeably as possible. By eliminating the pressures of being filmed, our couples are able to enjoy each moment of their day and be truly present in the experience, providing us with an authentic and emotional collection of frames. Weddings are our passion and we enjoy being able to assist with planning, coordinating and timeline creation throughout the months leading up to your big day. We’re with you every step of the way and are dedicated to creating the best possible version of your love story.

We begin by helping you create a working wedding timeline to guide you through planning. We then stay with you every step of the way to make sure your wedding day is smooth and enjoyable. As audio nerds, lighting geeks and color grading fanatics, it is very important to us to capture clear, quality sound of everything from your vows and letters to small details like your laughter while your friends and family deliver their speeches at your reception. We pay very close attention to the way light hits you and meticulously plan our lighting for your reception for that extra touch of style, and of course, to make sure everyone looks their best.

    Very disappointing

Rhys Ladhani Media was the most disappointing vendor we worked with. We got married September 2025 and were excited to work with him. The contract stated we'd get footage between 6-10 weeks which was awesome but also said it could take as long as 6 months.  Well, we did not receive our final video until about 7 months. Rhys had sent what he deemed to be "final" at 5 months but this did not include ANY footage of me (the bride) getting walked down the aisle with my father which is a very essential piece to a wedding. We also had no processional footage, no bridal party, no flower girls/ring bearers. I just magically appeared at the alter. We had spoken to him about wanting the parent dances also represented and there was no footage of my husband's dance with his mom either. And then the clip they chose to include from one of the Best Men's speech was, "Matt is my Charles Manson." How they could hear that line and think it's appropriate to include in our wedding video is beyond me. We asked for the processional footage which we were contracted to have, the inclusion of my husband's dance with his mother and the removal of the Charles Manson quote and he told us those were considered "edits" so they'd get put back in line after other weddings. Mind you, we're at the 5 months since our wedding mark and including the bride walking down the aisle with her father should not be considered an "edit." We also paid for a teaser. Typically, teasers are presented early on as exactly that, a teaser for what's to come. We didn't receive the teaser until we received EVERYTHING at 5 months. I had to continuously email asking for updates because communication was simply non-existent and Rhys would take days, if not weeks to reply. I was once told "multiple follow-ups will not expedite a response." Needless to say, he had a very condescending tone in many emails and didn't come off as very professional. When Rhys did send the updated ceremony footage, there was a strange audio issue so we again had to wait for THAT to be fixed. Then once we FINALLY received the updated video recap (at 6 months now), there was a black frame present within :30 of starting it. It very much seemed they did not check their work before re-sending so we, yet again, had to wait for another update. The final video wasn't received until the week of our 7 month anniversary. Did I mention Luis, the man who actually filmed our wedding, was 15 minutes late which threw off the entire timeline and I didn't get to read my vows from my husband until after we were already married in our Catholic ceremony?   The only good thing I can say about the experience was the actual footage did look good. It's just mind-boggling to me the amount of back and forth we needed to receive it and receive it correctly. If you only care about how the footage looks, then yes, use Rhys. But if you want professionalism, timeliness and attention to detail in edits, I could not in good conscience tell you to book him. Highly disappointing experience for us.

Caitlin, thank you for sharing your feedback. We genuinely want every couple to love their experience with us, and we're sorry this one fell short of your expectations. That said, we do feel it's important to provide some context for couples reading this. The processional was not missing footage. It was an assembly oversight in the full length ceremony edit that was identified, corrected, and delivered to you at no charge. We had full coverage of the processional from the moment it was captured. The speech excerpt was chosen because it was well received in the room and reflected the lighthearted spirit of the moment and the playful tone of the best man's speech. When you let us know it wasn't something you wanted represented in your film, we replaced it without hesitation and at no charge. Beyond those corrections, we also incorporated your husband's dance with his mother into the short creative film, which falls outside the scope of your contracted deliverables as a creative preference, again at no charge because we wanted you to love your films. We also applied our clarity, detail and resolution enhancement upgrade to your highlight and teaser as a complimentary addition to your package. Regarding the teaser, delivering it separately at that stage of our production schedule would have required us to interrupt active projects, ultimately adding more delay overall. The decision was made to deliver it alongside the final film in the interest of keeping production moving efficiently and maintaining the quality and finish our couples expect. Regarding our videographer's arrival, Luis was not late. Groom prep ran longer than the allotted time in the wedding day timeline, and Luis made the professional decision to stay and finish capturing the gift exchange between Matt and his mother before moving on to Bride prep. That is exactly the kind of judgment we expect from our team, prioritizing an important moment over a rigid clock. On the audio adjustment and the black frame, both were identified and corrected promptly. The audio was an unintended result of an EQ adjustment made to improve voice clarity across a wider range of speaker/home audio setups, not an oversight in the original mix. We reverted it as soon as it was flagged. The black frame was an upload issue and was corrected with a simple re-upload. We take quality seriously at every stage and both were resolved as soon as they were identified. We want to address the communication concern clearly. You received notifications at each of our seven production stages, and when our timeline shifted, we reached out to keep you informed. We are a working production company filming weddings on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. When a specific milestone has been committed to and work is underway, following up every few days does not change what is happening in the edit bay. It simply means we are responding to the same question before anything has changed. The timeline was longer than we would have liked, and we own that. Our contract does outline that peak season production can extend to six months, and the additional revision cycles, each requiring our full finishing process to be repeated, contributed to the final delivery date. Quality is always our first priority, and that means we will never rush a couple's films at the expense of the finished product, regardless of the pressure to do so. We remain proud of the work and hope the films bring you joy for years to come.

    Phenomenal Videos!

Rhys was great to work with!! He provided so much guidance leading up to the wedding day, going over my timeline and making recommendations based on how long he's seen things take. He also provides a list of suggested do's and dont's that you wouldn't realize have an impact on the video - it was so helpful!! Before the wedding he also has a prep call to go over all the details and any notes/requests we have for the videos (vibe we're looking for, any cinematic requests, song requests, etc.) He was another great presence to have the day of! We haven't gotten the video back yet but right after our wedding we got an email that lists out all the steps they take throughout video production. We've since gotten emails every time our video has moved to the next step. The communication from Rhys since we booked has been so incredible!

We sure do! We’re based in Lisle, IL, but are willing to travel almost anywhere. We’re happy to come to your city for an additional fee to cover the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.
Definitely. We quote these as custom packages with special pricing for the shorter day and smaller party size. Get in touch via our contact page and we can put together the perfect elopement package for your wedding.
6+ months out is ideal, but sooner gives us more time to plan for fun and creative shots. It also ensures our availability on your wedding date. Once you've decided on a wedding date and have secured your main venue, we recommend reaching out ASAP to lock in your date with us.
Yes, we're fully insured! We’re happy to send a copy of our certificate of liability insurance or a COI with additional insured parties to your venue upon request.
General rule of thumb says we cannot film in the rain, snow or inclement weather, but in practice, this varies depending on the severity of the weather and the assigned videographer's gear set. It's always best to have a backup plan in case of rain for outdoor wedding ceremonies.
All footage we film is edited by our on-staff editor to create the best version of your wedding film and story. After editing, all color, audio treatment and final touches are done by the Owner, Creative Director and Lead Videographer, Rhys Ladhani.
Most wedding days are served well with a single videographer, but there are many factors that play into whether or not you NEED a second videographer or a larger production team (day-of locations, timeline, special events, cultural practices, multi-day events, etc.). Please reach out via the contact form on our website and we'd be happy to go over your wedding plan with you to help you make the best decision for your wedding day.
We capture multiple sources of audio externally to ensure your films sound amazing. These range from lavalier mics on the most important people at the ceremony, recorders on the podiums for readings and room mics for capturing sounds and reactions from your guests. During the reception we record directly from your venue or MC to have crisp audio of your toasts/speeches. All audio is then mixed and treated in editing to sound its best. Some packages also include AI assisted audio enhancement.
