My name is Taylor — I’m a husband, father, teacher, ocean lover, and videographer / editor based out of CT and Cape Cod. I’ve been passionate about photography for as long as I can remember, and deep down I’ve always felt that capturing moments was in some way my calling. A few years ago I began to realize that photographs — even the most compelling ones — are not able to tell an entire story. They provide a powerful glimpse, frozen in time, but even the best photographs are unable to preserve memories and emotions the way that films can.

My style is organic & unobtrusive, placing a high emphasis on the experience of you & your guests (no one wants a videographer standing right in front of them during the toasts!) When i was young, my dream was to be a filmmaker and musician. The art of visual storytelling was captivating to me. When the right image, message, and music collide, it’s pure magic. After high school i moved across the country to pursue a music career. 4 albums, 13 countries, and 100’s of shows later i found myself wanting to be behind the camera, rather than in front. Filmmaking gave me the chance to express myself, while capturing once in a lifetime moments. I had once again fallen in love with storytelling. It’s never JUST a photo or video clip. It’s real people, real emotion, seen through a perspective that otherwise wouldn’t exist.

I am a director, editor, and cinematographer, who has filmed over 600 weddings, and produced content for companies like Mott, Boston College, WB Mason, Big Orange Productions, YPO and the State of RI, among many others. When not making creative videos, I love eating Mexican food, watching movies, and playing with my dogs. I also volunteer and foster for Rhode Home Rescue, a non-profit animal rescue.

My father always encouraged me to pursue my passion for film, and when he passed in 2014, I started Marinelli Moving Pictures, a video production company with his name (and mine) on the masthead. A decade later, what started as a side jobs between dance gigs has turned into a full fledged business. Turns out I'm even happier behind the camera than in front of it!
