Formed in 1911, the Woman's Club of Bethesda has been an active member of the Federation of Woman's Clubs. Our clubhouse was built in 1927 and has hosted countless community events, dances, and celebrations. We maintain the historic charm and character while offering all the modern day amenities. Woodend Sanctuary & Mansion is an elegant wedding venue in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Conveniently located just 9 miles from downtown DC, it resides on a private 40-acre nature sanctuary. Built in 1927, this historic location was designed by the renowned architect John Russell Pope, who also designed the Jefferson Memorial, DAR Constitution Hall, and the National Archives Building. Environmentally conscious couples will appreciate this venue’s commitment to nature and wildlife preservation, offering a beautiful and sustainable setting for your special day. Ìpàdé is one of Washington, DC's most unique venues, located in Dupont Circle. Our venue is flexible to a variety of needs from bridal showers to rehearsal dinners to intimate weddings. The space can comfortably hold up to 100 guests standing and 70 seated banquet style. In addition to a large banquet area, there are 4 rooms you can use to get ready, store items and gifts, or use for catering preparation. There are also two bathrooms to accommodate your guests.

The Swann House building is a historic mansion originally built in 1883 and recently renovated in 2023, that boasts both a beautiful event space and a boutique hotel. The combination of the original building’s charm and the modern design elements make this a one-of-a-kind venue that is perfect for intimate weddings, welcome parties, corporate receptions, and much more. The common space of the ground floor is perfect for hosting special events, and the Swann House also offers 8 beautiful, individually decorated guest rooms and plenty of gathering options (including a pool and outdoor terrace) for guests. The grand ambiance of Swann House is enhanced by spacious rooms with twelve foot ceilings, elaborate crown moldings, in-laid wood floors and crystal chandeliers. Since its opening in 1952, the Memorial Chapel has helped thousands of couples begin their happily ever after. With two beautiful indoor Chapels and lovely gardens, the Chapel is an ideal spot for those who want a traditional looking space without the restrictions of religion or music.

Located in the heart of downtown Rockville, Rockville United Methodist Church has the perfect setting for your dream church wedding. Couples can choose from our Sanctuary that seats up to 400 for a traditional wedding day OR use our Dream Wedding Chapel that seats up to 50 for a more personal take on your day. Monroe Bay Vineyard is located on the water near Colonial Beach on the original birthplace Farm of our 5th President James Monroe. We have secluded and tranquil waterfront land to plan your perfect day. We have a large, unique barn made of natural, recycled materials of strawbales for insulation and recycled wine bottles for light and design. You no longer see the strawbales in the wall as they have been covered with a hydraulic lime the same material castles in France for hundreds of years have been made from. The inside is a museum quality white lime finish with unique curves with sun shining through the patterned wine bottle walls to give a unique backdrop.

Come celebrate in nature on a developing organic farm on the one-of-a-kind Smith Forbes Historic Site. There are several large fields and a barn that is available for your event. Also on the site is a working farm with a small number of friendly goats, chickens, and pigs. Access to acres of private forest land with route to Rappahannock River. Historic Waverly Mansion is located in Marriottsville, Maryland. This 1760's era estate is a the perfect setting of an intimate garden wedding and reception! The Mansion and property is owned and operated by Howard County Government's Recreation and Parks Department and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Historic Waverly Mansion is considered an outdoor venue. The property includes beautifully maintained gardens, the historic Mansion, and rustic barn. During our peak rental season, a 60x40ft event tent is included in wedding rentals. Historic Waverly provides the location and property amenities while the Permit Holder provides all vendors, including an approved full-service Caterer and Wedding Coordinator. Historic Waverly Mansion is a Howard County Park. Howard County Recreation and Park guidelines apply to all scheduled events and are different from privately owned venues.
