I started my photography business 7 years ago because of two reasons: 1) For as long as I can remember, I have felt a need to create. Whether it was drawing, painting, sewing, or decorating my home, I longed to create beautiful things for myself and others. That need to create still drives me daily. If it’s been too long since I made something, I don’t feel right. and 2) I knew I didn’t want a typical nine to five career. So, photographs were my chosen medium to build the life I wanted to live. I have been blessed to be a full time photographer for the past seven years. I have shot over 125 weddings and over 1000 portrait sessions.

I have studied fine art photography long before I ever started taking portraits of other people and shooting weddings. Fine art photography was my beginning, creating conceptual and authentic art that spoke to me and told my story was what I started with and then I started blurring that line between fine art and documentary. I started documenting other people and their lives in the same way that I created my own work intended for shows and galleries. That is how I came to the style that I shoot now, still blending the two parts of my life.
