We had a wonderful experience working with Brus and the full Spruce Mountain team. They think of everything when it comes to logistics, and we didn't have to worry about a thing from the moment we showed up on wedding day until the end of the night. Our experience touring the venue a year and a half ago, coming back for the Wine & Nosh event, and doing our 30 day walk through all made the planning process so smooth and exciting for us and our families. The multiple ceremony locations are all gorgeous, and we were thrilled to be able to get married mountainside with the natural beauty of Colorado in the background. Our guests loved cocktail hour and the indoor/outdoor dinner & dancing set up. Spruce is truly a 5 star wedding venue because of its natural beauty and the organization/care the team takes in scoping out all the details, like 2 beautiful getting ready suites for the bridesmaids & groomsmen, shuttles to take guests up mountainside, and open air string lights for late night dancing. Spruce is also a popular spot that many of our vendors were familiar with, which made logistics even smoother since our bartenders, caterer, DJ, planner, and florist had all done multiple weddings at Spruce before and had great recommendations on what could work well with our vision. We hope to come back for future events and are so happy to have gotten married at Spruce!

  • Has a dance floor for celebration

Venue considerations

  • No built-in audiovisual options
  • Not for you if you're looking for a sleek and contemporary space
  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
The Platte River Fort is an absolutely beautiful venue! We had our wedding there and I wouldn’t have wanted to get married anywhere else. We coordinated with Cindy and she was beyond helpful helping us book and getting everything ready for our big day. The only reason I wouldn’t give this place 5 stars is all of the hidden fees that were not mentioned or included in the package we booked. Long story short, you will all of a sudden find yourself paying them hourly after you have paid for a whole package and then some. The owners and management need to be more clear on every detail. And of course as many places and events are, the alcohol and bartenders are triple the amount. It would’ve been cheaper to hire a third party bartending vendor to come serve.

My husband and I got married at the Mishawaka in June after a long engagement. Gary, the event coordinator, was amazing! I planned the wedding by myself so I had a TON of questions; Gary answered them quickly and kindly and never made me feel like I was bothering him. The event staff at the Mish were accommodating and helpful on the day of the wedding. Our outside wedding turned into an inside event quickly when it started to rain. Meg and her crew were able to pivot and set up the inside for dinner quickly, and when dinner was over and the rain stopped, they just as quickly pivoted to make sure the outside was ready for dancing and the rest of the evenings festivities. The food was delicious, the views and scenery were stunning, having a rushing river and a staggering mountain ridge in the background of my photos is so gorgeous. We got beautiful pictures by the river, and the lighting in the canyon was perfect; no sun in anybody's eyes. Not to mention, The Mishawaka offers a shuttle service, so I knew that all of my loved ones would arrive back in Fort Collins safely after a night of dancing and libations. We had 90 guests, but the outside event space could accommodate many more. The "Confessional Lounge" was a perfect place to do speeches. The sound set up/lighting was perfect for the live band, and after all was said and done, it was affordable! We got married on a Monday, so the price was lower than that of a Saturday, but even the weekend rates were not outrageous. I am so happy we got married at the Mish! And now we can go back for future anniversaries and have a beer by the river - this is not true of most event spaces! Thanks Gary and Meg!

Our wedding day at The Simon could not have been more perfect. We fell in love with the venue the moment we toured it, and it exceeded every expectation we had. It was also very reasonably priced compared to other nearby venues, which made it an even easier choice for us. The space is so beautiful on its own that very little decor is needed. One of our favorite perks was the “Something Borrowed” closet. Not only does it help save money, but it also means far less to haul in and out. We used their table runners, greenery garland, cake and cupcake displays, and LED signage, and everything looked amazing. It made the entire setup process so easy while still creating such a beautiful atmosphere. Another thing we loved was how transparent and helpful their website is. You can see pricing, available dates, and even the decor available in the “Something Borrowed” closet before ever reaching out. There are no hidden fees or surprises, which we really appreciated. I honestly haven’t seen another venue provide that much information upfront. They also host open houses for booked couples, which was such a great experience. It gave us a chance to see the venue again before the wedding, ask questions, and plan out our decor in the space. The staff was truly incredible. Throughout the night they were kind, attentive, and constantly checking to make sure we didn’t need anything. They were also so sweet with their compliments and made us feel really special on our big day. Everything was spotless, they worked seamlessly with all of our vendors, and they were quick and kind when helping our guests. We didn’t have a single issue throughout the entire booking process or on the wedding day itself. We absolutely love The Simon and cannot recommend it enough. It’s such a beautiful, fun, and well-run venue. Our wedding day was even better than we imagined, and we are so grateful we found this place. A special shoutout to Caitlyn and Logan, who patiently answered our many questions and made sure everything we needed was taken care of.

Morgan at Rembrandt yard was by far the most communicative and helpful venue representative that we spoke with, and really sold the location! It's a great location, cool venue, and came with a bunch of perks. I would recommend including this in any venue search!

When my husband and I (who met at CU) realized that the University of Colorado had started renting space as a wedding venue, we knew we had to see it. Besides both being huge football fans, CU was also very near and dear to our hearts because it was the place that originally brought us together. The views from the rooftop are absolutely breathtaking and the staff worked hard to make sure everything was exactly the way we asked and planned for. I love being able to look back at our wedding day and appreciate how unique our experience was. This venue is a must see!

We loved having our wedding at BMoCA!!! As soon as we toured it I knew it was the right venue for us. The upstairs event space was perfect (we had 65 guests but it is spacious enough for a larger wedding), the brick walls, natural light, hanging lights, wood floors all make it a beautiful backdrop. We loved being able to have cocktail hour downstairs so people could walk through the exhibit, it was very unique and fun. Jess was great to work with and answered all of our questions! Everything ran super smoothly the day of. Also, incredible location if you want to go out in Boulder afterwards! The one minor complaint I have is that you are restricted to using one catering company, Three Leaf. I would recommend looking into that before choosing this venue because they are a little pricey (we didn’t realize their prices in the brochure didn’t include staffing and other costs, which adds a lot. Which is on us, but we had never hired a caterer before so…didn’t know!). Also, it was difficult to get a response from them in the early stages of planning when we had questions. BUT 3 Leaf did a great job at the wedding, the food and service were really great, and Lily worked with us on lowering the costs to fit in our budget. So it all worked out! We had an incredible time and would definitely recommend having your wedding at BMoCA!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience at Flagstaff House for our wedding! From the moment we first reached out, the team was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel like our special day was just as important to them as it was to us. I had a tall order - I began planning my wedding just 2 and a half months before I had set the date, which was also my birthday, and over a holiday weekend. Hosting a party of 45, we were amazed by the level of attention and detail the staff provided. They were not only helpful in the planning stages but also went above and beyond on the day itself. The atmosphere was beautiful, creating the perfect backdrop for our celebration. We did the whole package for a daytime wedding, the ceremony and reception and lunch. I was so happy to be blessed with perfect weather as well as wild turkeys and hawks around the venue. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and the staff’s professionalism and genuine care truly made our day unforgettable. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the stunning views and exquisite service. The food was impressive, and the cake was delicious (I hear - I didn't get a piece! Busy bride!) If you’re looking for a venue that combines elegance with a personal touch, Flagstaff House is the place! We are so grateful for their hard work in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. Thank you, Flagstaff House, for giving us a day we will cherish forever!
