I love working with Columbus Grill and even hosting my own events with them because their food is absolutely delicious and I love that you just pay for the food, service, and drinks vs paying for renting the banquet hall. The service there is always great, the food is always delicious and I all around recommend them to anyone looking to book a wedding, party, or get together.

I found The Garden ALX here on Zola and was completely satisfied with our experience. We had a kid-friendly Sunday afternoon reception and the venue fit the bill perfectly. They had multiple packages to choose from and an hourly rate as well. We had a four hour reception and they threw in two hours of free setup and an hour to take down and clear up. They also have yard games and other add ons you can include. Mary was great to work with and helped with any questions along the way. The only advice I would give is to reach out to them directly instead of through Zola for a faster response initially. Given the high price tag if venues in the DC area The Garden is a great option if your wedding is under 100 guests and you are looking to have a more casual reception.

The American Legion Post 177 was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the initial in-person contract meeting to the rest of our communication via phone and email, the staff was responsive and helpful every step of the way. They provided us with the best value around for a wedding venue. They even gave us extra space to set up a fun photo booth for our guests, which was a huge hit. This was my third time renting the venue, and the food was consistently good - my guests loved the BYOB option. They also accommodated my request to have a live band perform. The pricing was very reasonable, making this an ideal choice for our special day.

My wife Brittany and I have had a fantastic and transformative experience dancing at Forever Dancing Ballroom! We found them at one of their open house events and immediately booked a package of lessons with Fabio for our wedding. Our dance lessons were always a fun break from wedding planning, and we left every dance lesson feeling better than we did when we walked in. It was exciting to learn new moves and choreography at every lesson. At first, we thought the techniques were difficult, but with practice and good coaching, we were able to learn the steps and perform a romantic and fun first dance at our wedding. It was thrilling to do our dance in front of such a supportive and enthusiastic crowd - we absolutely loved the magic moment of our first dance! My wife and I had a casual interest in dancing before we worked on the first dance with Fabio, but since then, we've become hooked and now we take group classes and have continued with private lessons as well. Jennifer Bonini manages the studio classes, billing, private lessons, events, and more. She is friendly, funny, and supportive, and very excellent at keeping everything organized. A talented dancer herself, Jennifer has also shared some excellent dance coaching with us from time to time. Other coaches at the studio are similarly personable and welcoming to all. The entire vibe at Forever Dancing is simply perfect for those looking for an approachable dance studio that will keep you smiling, moving, and have a blast dancing. I highly encourage you to visit Forever Dancing Ballroom as a studio: for wedding first dance lessons, group classes, cool workshops, and a fulfilling way to spend your time!

My husband and I got married in December '24 and had a great experience with the Sheraton Pentagon City. The hotel is really close to DCA so it was super easy for our guests to book AND the rate was AMAZING. Having a wedding so close to the holidays made travel much more expensive so having a hotel that was so reasonably priced was such a HUGE win. There was some construction in the surrounding area but none of our guests had anything negative to say about it, so if you see this don't be concerned. The stunning view from the ballroom spoke for itself! We worked most closely with John and Christian but the Sheraton team was huge and we met many different people responsible for our event. They are a well oiled machine so you don't need to worry about what happens if someone gets sick or is stuck in traffic on your big day! The rooms were lovely, with stunning views of all of DC! Overall I would HIGHLY recommend having your wedding here :)

We picked Clyde’s because the location was close to my church, where we did the ceremony, and because it was one of the few venues in that radius that fit our budget. I picked Clyde’s for practical reasons and looking back I couldn’t have made a better choice. I always knew I wanted my wedding reception to be fun and relaxed and have plenty of good food and drinks for my guests. Clyde’s so fit the bill. First, the food is simple yet delicious. We already knew that from dining there, and the tasting confirmed it. We were able to make menu choices to please everyone. Second, our room was beautiful and uniquely decorated and that makes a fun atmosphere. It was large enough to fit all our guests and have room to dance (we had about 50 people, but could have fit more in the room.) finally, the service was exceptional - all our guests commented on how great the servers and bartenders were at their jobs. We felt so welcome. The event staff went above and beyond to work with me to decorate and set tables to my specifications. If you are considering Clyde’s, I highly recommend them. DC wedding venues are expensive and Clyde’s was one of the few places we could afford, but even if our budget was higher, I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

The space is modern and well-appointed with AV, lighting and equipment including tables, chairs and bars. All are high quality and brand new! Event spaces throughout the Museum make for lots of different party plans - a spacious, open first floor would work nicely for a ceremony or program with cocktails on the open-air roof terrace and second floor with time to flip the ceremony space for dinner. We LOVED having our wedding at Woodend! Beatriz was so helpful and answered all of our questions, as well as keeping us updated as the tent set up changed over this past year. The new tent is gorgeous and the whole venue is so gorgeous, including the grounds! We were happy to keep our decor minimal and let the mansion’s beauty shine, and we got so many compliments on the venue’s set up of having the dance space (Main Hall) separated from the dinner seating (tent). We also loved Woodend’s gorgeous property, which really shined for our late October wedding. Would fully recommend considering Woodend for your wedding - plenty of parking, beautiful space, great team, and your venue fee goes to a great charitable cause.

We chose Brookside Gardens for our wedding because it's such a beautiful location and so close to DC where we live. We worked with Jennifer and her team along the way and they were responsive and incredibly helpful (giving us ideas for how to set everything up, what couples have done in the past, etc.) We had our wedding in the Yew Garden and our cocktail hour in the Fragrance Garden before moving inside for the reception and it was all stunning and we were able to go to several spots in the gardens for our golden hour photos (Japanese Tea House, rose garden, I could go on and on!) I 100% recommend Brookside Gardens for any wedding and am so grateful that we were able to get married there!

The Club has a long-established history of providing great food and gracious service for any and all occasions. Be it an anniversary, birthday party, wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, or corporate holiday party, the warmth of our elegant country setting will delight you and your guests. The Club's Main Dining Room can accommodate from 25 to 125 guests. Couples can invite their guests to join them on the front lawn of the Country Club for a scenic wedding ceremony. This site overlooks the emerald golf course and sparkling lake. The primary reception space, the Main Dining Room, is a long banquet hall space that seats up to 120 guests for a reception. In this main hall, couples will find large windows upon two of the walls, chandeliers, and a charcoal grey-colored carpet and dance floor.

The Country Club of Culpeper was a bit difficult to get in touch with at times, but their venue and service made up for it. The outdoor and indoor spaces were clean, gorgeous, affordable and perfect for our wedding day. Jen, our event coordinator, was amazing and accomplished everything we asked with such grace and patience, even during the stressful changes that happened on the big day. The food was absolutely delicious and all our guests complimented it. While they went through three different event coordinators from when we booked them to our wedding day, which was definitely stressful, Jen was the perfect fit for us and was very understanding of the changes. We got the most beautiful photos in the venue and on the golf course. Overall, the Country Club of Culpeper provided a beautiful, high-quality setting for our special day.

Their communication throughout the planning process was superb - the event coordinator Melissa was quick to respond to all of our questions and helped us feel at ease every step of the way. The barn venue was perfect for our smaller, more intimate wedding reception, providing a beautiful and rustic setting. On the day of the event, the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Everyone we interacted with, from the bartenders to the waitstaff, was friendly and helpful, and they made sure all of our guests were having a wonderful time. The Market at Grelen is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest venture, The Grelen Depot. Her objective was to enhance the charm and character of the lovely Main Street by creatively restoring this classic old-world structure situated in the historic town of Orange, Virginia. The Grelen Depot boasts high ceilings, ample natural light, an art gallery, bar and lounge areas as well as a loft space with a range of seating options. Each space has its own distinct personality and all can be used for a variety of events including weddings, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, workshops, corporate retreats, and more. The Depot also features a luxury suite, called The 118. This space has a living room, bedroom and glamorous full bath.

The Depot in downtown Orange, Virginia is everything you could hope for in a special event venue. I have had the privilege of shooting 2 separate events in The Depot's event spaces, and I hope to return for more. Each space within the depot is thoughtfully designed with beautiful details, making it the perfect backdrop for any special celebration. I typically try to avoid indoor venues due to a general lack of quality lighting/backdrop opportunities as a photographer, but I have loved every minute that I've worked at The Depot. Everywhere you look presents a new backdrop opportunity, and the spaces are filled with ample natural light during the daytime. Working with the Grelen Events team is always a breeze, and they are eager to resolve any day-of questions or concerns. You really can't go wrong booking The Depot for your next celebration/event!
