“From our first conversation with The Colony Club, we knew we had found the right venue. Their team stayed on top of every detail and answered our questions before we even had to ask them, which made the whole planning process feel stress-free. On our wedding day, they worked behind the scenes so smoothly that we could just enjoy our time with family and friends without worrying about a thing. The space itself is absolutely beautiful and the quality of everything they provided was worth every penny. We never felt rushed or like we were just another booking—they treated our day like it was their own. The Colony Club went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be.”

“We knew we were going to need a large space with our guest count but there was zero compromise on intimacy along with attention to detail at the Masonic. They offer several customizable options for bridal/ groom suites, catering, cocktail hour, and reception. The main ballroom looked stunning especially the two main chandeliers. Although the packages/ guidelines seemed rigid, we were eventually able to get most of the results we were looking for through some tinkering and back and forth correspondence. We were very impressed by the catering and waitstaff as the food received several compliments throughout the night. The only complaints on our end would be the temperature regulation of the main ballroom, which I'm sure comes with the building being older, and some areas of “hospitality”. There were a lot of things that were agreed upon in person but when it came time to be put into writing, those conversations were either misunderstood or backtracked. As I mentioned before, we eventually got to the result we were looking for but often received some resistance upfront.”

“The Eastern is a wonderful industrial, versatile venue in the heart of Eastern Market in downtown Detroit! This venue comes as a blank slate. So many different options as to how you can dress this venue up for a wedding/event. Be sure to use the few large wooden tables it comes with for your buffet table, hors d’oeuvre table, seating outdoors, head-table etc. Look no further than The Eastern or The Norwood for your wedding! I would recommend this venue to any couple looking to have a wedding in a unique spot, rather than a ballroom.”

“My retirement and graduation celebration at Michigan Central was truly an unforgettable experience. The venue was absolutely stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for celebrating two major milestones in my life: retiring after more than 35 years in corporate leadership and earning my PhD. From the moment my guests arrived, the atmosphere felt special. Michigan Central beautifully combines Detroit’s history, transformation, innovation, and future, which made the location especially meaningful for this new chapter in my life. The space was elegant, impressive, and memorable, and my family, friends, colleagues, and guests are still talking about how beautiful the celebration was. Mya Robinson and her team were absolutely amazing from day one. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and commitment to making my celebration special made the entire experience seamless and memorable.
