Exceptional Staff and Space
We had our wedding at the Masonic Temple in June and it was the most perfect day thanks to Danielle, Natalie, Angela, Jan and the entire Masonic Temple staff! For couples considering a Detroit venue - I cannot recommend the Masonic Temple enough. Danielle, Natalie and Angela were with us every step of the way through the planning process and made it easy and organized. For couples looking around at venues and who are generally organized/project planners, one of the biggest perks was not needing a wedding planner/day of coordinator because the Masonic Staff had it down to a science. They confirmed drop offs and set ups with our vendors and made sure they knew where to go - truly going above and beyond! Our 260 guests comfortably fit in the chapel, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception spaces ( set up for a 12 piece band) and the food, which is catered by T&M Catering, was excellent (filet was a favorite and all the apps were 10/10). The food was served to all our 260 guests hot and in a timely manner. Guests raved about the bar and its selection (including espresso martinis). The space itself is breathtaking and full of history. Many of our guests were local to Detroit and had never been in this part of the building, so it was a gift in itself to host our wedding there. Cannot recommend the Masonic Temple enough!

Perfect wedding venue
The entire staff at the Masonic temple were wonderful! Start to finish they made wedding planning so easy. The venue itself is beautiful! Highly suggest having your wedding here!

Great Venue for Large Weddings
We knew we were going to need a large space with our guest count but there was zero compromise on intimacy along with attention to detail at the Masonic. They offer several customizable options for bridal/ groom suites, catering, cocktail hour, and reception. The main ballroom looked stunning especially the two main chandeliers. Although the packages/ guidelines seemed rigid, we were eventually able to get most of the results we were looking for through some tinkering and back and forth correspondence. We were very impressed by the catering and waitstaff as the food received several compliments throughout the night. The only complaints on our end would be the temperature regulation of the main ballroom, which I'm sure comes with the building being older, and some areas of “hospitality”. There were a lot of things that were agreed upon in person but when it came time to be put into writing, those conversations were either misunderstood or backtracked. As I mentioned before, we eventually got to the result we were looking for but often received some resistance upfront.

Beautiful Venue
I knew I wanted to get married at the Masonic Temple before I even got engaged. The whole building is so beautiful and holds so much history it's incredible. The coordinators are great, the food is amazing, and the pictures you get will turn out better than you could imagine! My guests were complimenting the whole atmosphere all night. Highly recommend getting married here.
