“Tempoe Entertainment Djs were an excellent choice for our wedding. Their communication style was thorough, clear, and upbeat throughout the planning process. On the day of, they kept the party going strong even when my husband and I were pulled away to other things. The people at the reception had so much fun dancing the night away thanks to Joe, the DJ, who was excellent. Joe led the guests in fun dances and kept us all pumped up! Even the groom, who is not a big dancer (yet!), was super impressed with Joe's work - which is saying a lot. Tempoe provided great value and quality service that contributed greatly to making our special day perfect. Joe also helped a lot with getting us to think through some of wedding details. “TLDR: Hiring Modern Highway for our wedding was, hands down, the best decision my wife and I made for our big day. First and foremost, they are all talented, professional, and brought a large repertoire to the table. Christina is a fantastic singer, with big range. She is also a great business person, again with exceptional range - handling our light, acoustic service music, our post-wedding cocktail music, and our reception music. All live - which kicked the sheeet out of a DJ. She also MC’d. For weddings, hitting hitches is bad - there were none. The long version: Our wedding was a Sunday. It was in a more remote area from LA - Temecula. My wife had just been injured in a car accident - so we were a little nervous but the event was still a go with many people flying in. I am a musician and my wife and I had made the decision that live music was what we wanted for our big celebration. In hindsight, my only regret is the Sunday wedding because we hired Modern Highway to do our music and they were on fire. And some guests had to think about…Monday. But Christina and the band really held things together. It was a fun event and a big piece of that was the music. Christina brought a tremendous amount of energy. Her voice is electric and, when it came time to dance, the band brought it. Christina was very active moving through the crowd, dancing and singing. It is so hard to do that well - to be the energy. Where we needed “other” services, for first dances, parent dances, introductions, ceremony, etc., Christina & Modern Highway had it all covered. In a few cases we needed streamed music - covered. We needed someone to make the event go from the mic - covered. In a unique circumstance, my own band wanted to play - covered. If I’d been them, I would have said no. And frankly, based on what I saw from Christina, we could not have had a better person handling the mic that night. My wife and I look back on our wedding day as a true blessing - a day we were ecstatic about on the spot. I know a big piece of our internal satisfaction is knowing the entertainment was top notch. I wish Christina could have been our photographer as well!”

“We hired Bob Gail's dance band "Higher Ground" for our wedding last month at the Bel Air Bay Club. Having a live band at our wedding was always my dream but admittedly not my fiancee's or her family's. Any skepticsim completely evaporated by the time the wedding reception started. Our band--11 pieces, including trombone--was spectacular. I really can't say enough about how fun the evening was with Higher Ground leading the dance floor. We, and all our guests, danced non-stop. From start to finish, the band's song selections perfectly matched the energy throughout the evening. Every member was super talented, with the lead singers perfectly capturing the sound and feel of the original songs but with an energy that is only possible performed live. We were seriously impressed with their sheer versatility, jumping effortlessly between different genres and eras. We also had a few specific requests that the band very flexibily accommodated. We had choreography for our first dance and the band offered to rehearse with us before the reception. We also wanted to play some recorded songs during the band's breaks and they wove our songs into their own set list seamlessly. Bob Gail also offered a very intuitive song selection tool on which we could specify which songs we wanted to hear at the wedding. They even went out of their way to learn a song that was not part of their set list but that they knew we love. The band members were also incredibly friendly and gracious. They felt like a part of the family for the night. Even now, a month after the wedding, we still have family members tell us how great the band was and one guest even told me she can't wait to hire them for her own son's wedding no matter the cost.”

“I am writing this review wayyyy too late (a little over 2 years after my wedding) and it has been eating me away inside because I need to give Michelle(aka Haute Mobile Disco) all the praise she deserves. As a wedding planner myself, I had worked with Michelle and Ian previously and found them to be so sweet and easy to work with as well as extremely professional. All of their paperwork to fill out in advance for which genres of music I wanted was super easy and helpful to get exactly the vibes we were looking for. They created the PERFECT playlist and had my guests on the dancefloor literally the entire night. I added a live Saxophone which was the perfect addition. He was incredible. It created such a fun and interactive experience for my guests that they are still raving about. Michelle was so flexible with all my crazy song choices, a few which weren’t easy to find, as well as my idea to have a re-introduction when I chopped off my hair during the reception and came back out in a sequin jumpsuit. She did the perfect introduction and made the dancefloor feel like a night at the Grammy’s instead of a humble backyard wedding. Cannot recommend Michelle and her team enough, they were everything we could have asked for and brought the best energy and vibes we were looking for!”

“Seth was the best wedding DJ that we could have hoped for! We first met Seth at a wedding vendor expo event at our reception venue and were immediately impressed by the quality of his sound system and his ability to mix the selected soundtrack live. Seth is very communicative. In our first meeting with Seth, it was already immediately apparent that he was very experienced and very passionate about making our wedding day special and everything that we wanted it to be. We felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing, and on the day of the wedding he executed flawlessly. As for the preparation work, Seth schedules multiple meetings with you leading up to your wedding day which eases a lot of the nerves heading into busy planning season. Seth also has an app that you can download on your phone which is awesome because it allows you to edit details of your wedding day timeline and playlist on-the-go as we were making decisions during the planning months. On the day of the wedding, Seth came prepared having downloaded all the music that we talked about ahead of time and he kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT (over 3 hours). Seth responded to the audience and was able to mix a variety of genres that we had requested (like country, pop, spanish music, musical songs, etc) over various sets across the evening. He also coordinated our photo booth which was a nice touch that all the guests really enjoyed and had a second person stationed there for help all night. We couldn't recommend Seth enough to other couples who are in need of a DJ! Thank you, Seth!”

“The Moon Units were the best part of our dreamy desert wedding! If it wasn’t an open, outdoor wedding they would’ve torn off the roof (while respecting local sound ordinances, of course.) They have such a deep catalog of hits and did a great job balancing the set list between bangers that appealed to guests who came to dance and those who were a little bit shy. They kept the energy level over the top from cocktail hour through a windy night that would have sent many vendors packing up. The wind knocked the venue power out halfway through the set, and they didn’t miss a beat while the venue got generators online for their electric amps. They kept the party going into the night, and looked like they were having as much fun as we were, despite falling amps and heat lamps! The guests were raving about them: - ‘I felt like I was back in high school, dancing with reckless abandon!’ - ‘ I have never seen my parents dance, but they didn’t leave the dance floor’ They couldn’t have been nicer to work with, and we are thankful for their part in our perfect day!”

“Literally from the first interaction, Trey was thoroughly professional. We knew instantly that we'd be in good hands during the process, and he maintained through the big day. With Trey, we always had clarity over next steps, and we also got as much flexibility as we could ever hope for. “Tiger is the best DJ ive ever seen at a wedding. Ive been to a million. He can tailor the playlist hugely based on what you like and keep things fresh. He also has no issue picking the perfect songs to lure people out onto the dance floor and KEEP THEM THERE. also his cocktail hour music was soo fun and dinner music was fantastic. He's also just super flexible if you need to add songs or swap them or change up the schedule. Hes just the best energy and super funny also. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of music and will know and have any song you ever request. And if it just came out like two days ago he can quickly download it also. “The Lucky Devils Band absolutely made our wedding reception! From our initial phone call with Meredith, we knew we were in excellent hands. She took the time to thoroughly understand our vision and musical tastes, making thoughtful suggestions along the way. Communication was prompt, fun, and Meredith was so approachable throughout the planning process. On the big day, the band blew us away with their incredible talent and ability to perfectly execute our song requests, from jazz to oldies to classic rock. As musicians ourselves, we were so impressed by their skill level and experience and professionalism. During cocktail hour, two musicians played jazz, then they switched to rock mode for the reception. They truly made it feel like our own personal concert and kept people on the dance floor for literally 3 hours! The energy was palpable from their very first note, and their song selections kept guests of all ages dancing all night long. They ended the evening with “Purple Rain” by Prince and it made my life. We can't recommend the Lucky Devils Band highly enough - they were total professionals and our biggest splurge, but SO worth it I’d do it a million times over!!”

“Josh was the DJ for our wedding and he was absolutely amazing! From the moment we first contacted him, he was communicative, professional, and punctual. He was also very responsive to our requests, and they hit every one of them out of the park. On the day of our wedding, Fantom Freq was even better than we could have imagined. They kept the dance floor packed all night long, and they played a great mix of music that everyone could enjoy. “Before choosing Makai, my partner and I watched videos of at least a dozen DJs. Based on the energy and interactions we saw from Makai, we knew he was the one for us and our wedding day. From our first video call with him, we knew we had struck gold. What was meant to be a one hour zoom call turned into three hours of laughing and sharing stories as if we were old friends who had been separated by time. Makai was patient at every step in our process. He came prepared - he provided us a very helpful packet which enabled us to better organize our event. My partner and I did have many of our own ideas, and Makai graciously worked with every single idea of ours. When our ideas were incomplete or needed tweaking, he came up with creative solutions that incorporated our wants and his experience. After getting off our zoom call with Makai, my partner and I shared a big sigh of relief. In months of planning, most things had been stressful, but working with Makai felt almost too easy. We were very well taken care of. On the day of our event, Makai was early. Makai generously helped with things that were not at all his responsibility. Makai was loved by our guest; he contributed to a great vibe. At our request, Makai helped us stay on track for the whole event, and because of that, everything continued smoothly throughout the evening. Every time I looked at Makai, he had a beaming smile on his face. Even while continuing to enjoy the festivities, Makai’s music was on point. Amongst a handful of other vendors who were also awesome, Makai stands out because his contributions to our day were so impactful. I can’t recommend Makai enough.”
