“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“We cannot recommend Dancehall Days enough! We wish we could get married all over again just for the music. This band absolutely nailed our wedding in Jackson Hole, and we are still in awe of how incredible they were. Not only did they travel all the way from Oregon, but they also made the entire process so easy and enjoyable from start to finish. Dan and his team were so easy to work with, and their 5-piece DJ band was the perfect, fun switch-up from a traditional band for our June wedding at Greenpoint Loft. We also had a ceremony guitarist and a saxophonist with tracks for the cocktail hour, which added great touches to the day. The uplights they brought for the room were priced very well and created a beautiful atmosphere. The music planning worksheet they provided was incredibly helpful, and they offered valuable advice on the timeline and flow of the reception, which was a huge help. They were fun to work with, and on the night of the wedding, they absolutely crushed it. The music was fantastic, they kept the vibes high, and their crowd engagement was excellent. “What an amazing experience working with Joey. He was very thoughtful in curating the music for our day and I hope you find what you are looking for with him. I am a wedding vendor of 15 years as well doing hair, makeup and morning concierge. One of my past brides at one of my most favorite venues to work at is how I was introduced to Joey. After coming out of the hair room I love taking a moment to walk around the venue and there he was playing the cello along with some background music. I was hooked. I love that he was incorporating songs of today with the art of an instrument. I found it unique and something I wanted to showcase at my wedding. I didn’t want people to walk up to just music playing in the space, but an experience. Joey took the time to do 2 calls with us, one being over the phone and the second being over zoom. He came with a detailed questionnaire of how we wanted our wedding to go. It was so detailed that even a music mood girl I didn’t even think of. The calls were scheduled for 30 minutes but he didn’t hesitate to chat with me for over an hour on how I wanted it to be curated. I had already started 2 wedding playlists, but he added and sent me 5 to 6 albums to fill out of songs I loved and wanted. I had over 10 hours of music to play and not only did he take those into consideration he added music that my guests also requested. He even accepted me saying change this song and only play the 10 year olds music every 10 songs He needed to set up in two spaces, one for the ceremony which was outside on our property. He was set up and playing by the time guests arrived. Everyone I spoke with loved the music selection, which I told him “Bridgerton vibes” and he ran with it. After the ceremony his assistant had music playing for the cocktail hour while they broke down the equipment in the ceremony area. I was blown away by the lights that were brought and the look of everything. Microphones worked for speeches and he even had a stand for those who wanted to use them. We didn’t do a traditional walk in but he announced us perfectly and we ran around the tables saying hello to our friends and family. I would recommend Joey to anyone looking to have an experience for their guests, have a DJ but also want strings all in one. He was professional, timely and for someone who did not have a day of coordination or planner very informative. I wanted vendors to do what they do best and I’m glad I trusted him to provide us with music throughout the day and night!”

“Ana & Jimmy were in a different league from the moment we met them. On our first Zoom, they listened to everything I said about our taste and our vibe… and then gently told me that our beloved saxophonist idea didn’t match anything we had described. They recommended a guitarist instead— and thank goodness, because they were absolutely right. Their planning process was incredibly thoughtful.. and for me, hilarious. Their music surgery? Thorough and genius, and apparently visible to them before you hit submit. Which meant they saw me type things like “Haed pass,” “No thank you,” and “What even is that??” Live. Thankfully, they have incredible senses of humor. They checked in multiple times, did a full site visit, and showed up with a sound team who stayed all night to make sure everything was flawless. They even coordinated our private outdoor first dance with our violinist while sending the music inside to guests — seamlessly. But the reception is where they catapulted into untouchable territory. They don’t just sing and DJ… they perform. Including: * the full, committed N’SYNC “Bye Bye Bye” choreography * A Blink - 182 elder millennial scream-along that transported us back to 2003 * Coming onto the dance floor to hype everyone * Interacting with guests like they’ve known us forever. I don’t dance— and I was on that dance floor all night. Our guests are still texting us about how unreal the band was and we’ve heard “best wedding I’ve ever been to” on multiple occasions.
