“DECIDING ON THE VENUE: We recently got married at Mountain Brook Vineyards in June. We can’t say enough about how perfect everything was. It truly was the best venue. While we were deciding on a venue, Rebecca made time to give us a virtual tour of the venue because we lived in different states. After seeing how beautiful the venue was, how wonderful the staff was, and how accommodating Rebecca was, we decided to go with Mountain Brook Vineyards for our wedding. REHEARSAL DINNER: We decided to have our rehearsal dinner at Mountain Brook. The rehearsal dinner may be our favorite part of everything. It was truly magical being able to have our rehearsal dinner outside under the lights in a vineyard. Mountain Brook also allowed us to do a welcome celebration at the venue where we had drinks and s'mores for guests. THE WEDDING DAY: Our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful it was. It has so many gorgeous spots for pictures, and they turned out amazing. The ceremony location was perfect for an elegant ceremony. The vines in the background made our pictures look great. Mountain Brook provided shuttles for all our guests to and from the ceremony location, and provided our guests with wine prior to the ceremony. The reception center is about as perfect as it could be. Even with minimal decorating, the area was beautiful with the wine barrels on the wall. It is big enough to fit plenty of guests (we had approximately 120), but also small enough where it doesn't feel like there is too much empty space. STAFF: If you get married at Mountain Brook, you feel like you are part of the family right away. The staff are all wonderful. They are helpful and make you feel like you are not just another couple getting married but actually important. They even got on the dance floor to celebrate with us. Rebecca is one of the most amazing wedding coordinators there is. She is extremely helpful, offers up ideas, and was able to bring all of our ideas to life. She is one of the nicest and most fun people you could meet. She and the rest of the staff are very laid back and let you make your wedding day what you want. AFTER THE WEDDING: Rebecca let us clean up the day after which was amazing. The day after the wedding, Rebecca went above and beyond to look for something sentimental that I had lost during the wedding. She even dug through the trash to find it. We truly cannot say enough good things about Mountain Brook Vineyards and we would recommend everyone have their wedding there. We definitely feel like part of the family and will visit often.”

“We couldn’t have been happier with our decision to host our wedding at Serenity Ridge! We chose this venue because we wanted a beautiful mountain setting in NC where our family and friends could stay on property, and Serenity Ridge exceeded all our expectations. One of the things that set it apart is that the property is exclusively yours all weekend, making the experience private and completely focused on your event. Serenity Ridge is an incredible value. Their pricing is more of an “all-inclusive” model, covering the venue rental, lodging for 30 guests, catering, bartending, setup & cleanup, rentals... you name it. When you consider everything included, the cost is unbeatable — and it makes planning so much easier! The team at Serenity Ridge was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the planning process. Haley answered all my questions with patience and kindness (and there were a lot!), providing great vendor recommendations and guidance along the way. On the wedding weekend, the staff was flexible, accommodating, and attentive, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. From exceptionally clean lodging to early and late check-ins, they truly go above and beyond for their guests. We hosted both our rehearsal dinner and wedding at Serenity Ridge, and the food was nothing short of amazing. Our guests are still raving — it’s not just “good wedding food,” it’s incredible restaurant quality. The staff during the events was also incredible. When rain started just 20 minutes before our ceremony, they quickly moved everything inside and then seamlessly flipped the pavilion from ceremony to reception in no time during cocktail hour without impacting the guest experience. Despite the brief rain, the day went perfectly, and we were rewarded with stunning sunset views later in the evening. I cannot say enough good things about Serenity Ridge, the location, and the staff. They truly care about their couples and strive to make your vision a reality. Hosting our wedding here was the best decision we made!”

“Where to begin. I will start off saying the most important – venue owners Amy and Shane Clark are truly some of the kindest people you will meet. The Venue at Rose Springs Farm was only the second venue my fiance (now husband) and I toured, but after meeting them and seeing the stunning venue I instantly knew we HAD to book it. I could just tell from that first encounter the passion, love, and joy they had for creating amazing wedding days. I went from feeling completely stressed about the task of planning a wedding to feeling like, “if I have the Clarks by my side I can totally do this.” So almost immediately we booked our date for about a year out and we also booked Amy to be our day-of-coordinator. Other than saying “yes” when Greg asked me to marry him, this was the best decision I made! Amy truly went above and beyond as a day-of-coordinator for us, and we are forever grateful. From many, many phone calls with me, either talking me out of a panic over the timeline or just brainstorming “what if” scenarios, to meetings in person where she helped me and my mom pick out the perfect décor from the HUGE stock of included items and helped me plan how the day would go. (Seriously, the décor closet is the place dreams are made of.) One of the many things I hold close to my heart and will remember forever was when I asked Amy and Shane how Greg and I could have a traditional Jewish wedding chuppah to get married under. Should I buy something? Should my dad try and build something? I showed them photos of a chuppah and I was met with “Oh! We can totally figure that out for you – we got you.” And they really did. Shane was able to construct two of the wedding arches they had together and Amy used her magic skills to make it beautiful with fabric and flowers. This is a perfect example of how the Clarks are, this is how they responded to anything at all during the planning process – with a kind and loving “we got you.” And Greg and I truly felt that. When it came to the wedding day we had no doubt in our mind the day would flow smoothly, and it did. If there was a hiccup – we didn't know about it! Amy did her day-of-coordinator duties beautifully and Shane kept the entire venue and staff running smoothly. Still to this day we do not know how he and his team manage to set up and take down chairs and move tables around so stealthy and quickly! Little things about that day that stood out in my mind that any couple thinking of booking Rose Springs Farm should know – the beautiful and spacious bridal suite had the sweetest mimosa bar set up for me and my bridesmaids. Lining up for the processional went so smoothly I didn't even realize it was happening until I heard my entrance song being played – that is how non-stressed they made me feel. The (included!) tealights were all lit on the tables when we walked into the reception space, and it was so twinkly and magical. Greg and I got a picnic basket at the end of the evening with food from our buffet and dessert in it. This made me tear up it was so sweet and made us able to have a cozy evening in the next night and relive the whole day over a meal we didn't have to worry about! When it comes to weddings, Amy and Shane REALLY, TRULY know what they are doing. I will recommend this venue to anyone I know who is getting married. I am so happy they are a part of our story and helped to get our “forever” off to a wonderful start. THANK YOU!”

“Landon is the kind of wedding coordinator every photographer, vendor, and couple hopes to work with, and I would highly recommend working with him and the Burntshirt Vineyards team for your wedding. From our first interaction when I showed up to walk the grounds before the couple's wedding, he was welcoming, helpful, and totally on top of every detail, and I appreciated that so much. His calm presence on the wedding day allowed the couple, their families, and all of the vendors to truly enjoy the moment. Landon and the team moved around effortlessly to ensure that the timelines were running smoothly and not one detail was missed, all while checking in on everyone and creating a kind and stress-free experience. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with Landon and create beautiful imagery for the beautiful couple. I look forward to working with Landon and his team again soon. He is a GEM in the wedding world, and any couple that is booking with Burntshirt Vineyards will enjoy working with Landon for a seamless and unforgettable experience.”

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Corrine and the Curations team as a pastry chef, and what stands out to me is how personally Corrine is involved in the events she creates. She pays attention to the little details that can easily get overlooked, and she’s thoughtful about how all of the different elements of an event come together. From my perspective as a vendor, Corrine is also great at communication and coordination. When I’m providing desserts, I appreciate knowing that she has thought through where and when they’ll be served, how they’ll be presented, and how that fits into the overall flow of the event. It makes collaborating with her easy and allows me to focus on doing my part well. I’ve really enjoyed being part of the events she creates. Corrine genuinely cares about the couples she works with, and that comes through in the way she approaches every detail. I’m always happy when I get the opportunity to work with Curations.”

“We had our reception at Trailside this past Fall of 2023. The day of, everything went perfectly. We were given ample time to set up, freedom to move around in the space, and ability to utilize it as we saw fit. The venue usually has live music, but they booked an acoustic band, which set up in the main dining area of the brewery. Our reception was able to play its own music, from speakers we brought, and not feel impacted from the live music going on for the rest of the patrons. Our event did not co-mingle too much with the general public; however there was a couple people that drifted in and we politely asked them to leave. As stated above, our overall day of was all we could have wanted and more. The days leading up to our reception were very stressful due to renovations that weren't quite ready for our event. Since we were the first party in this space, we had to bare the growing pains, which Trailside tried to accommodate for as much as possible. I believe since we were the "test" party, this team will grow from the experience. All in all, our reception day was all we could have wanted and more, so when it came down to the wire, the team delivered.”

About wedding venues in Chesnee, SC

Why Is South Carolina the Perfect Wedding Destination?

South Carolina offers a wedding landscape that's truly unforgettable. You'll find historic Charleston mansions with breathtaking 18th-century architecture, oak-lined plantation entrances that create dramatic photo opportunities, and Lowcountry waterfront settings showcasing spectacular marsh views. Looking for variety? The state delivers everything from coastal properties with sweeping Atlantic Ocean panoramas to secluded barrier island venues that capture South Carolina's natural beauty at its finest. June tops the popularity charts for venue inquiries despite the summer heat; those coastal sea breezes make all the difference.

What's the Average Cost of a Wedding Venue in South Carolina?

Wedding venues in South Carolina typically run about $7,821, eating up roughly 17% of your total wedding budget. That's actually a better deal than the national benchmark of $6,500-$12,000 which usually claims 25% of total costs. Expect to pay between $7,000 and $8,600 for most venues across the state. Charleston commands premium prices for its historic charm while venues in the Midlands region offer more budget-friendly options without sacrificing quality. Total wedding budget by guest count: - 50 guests: $19,875 - 100 guests: $32,963 - 150 guests: $45,268 - 200 guests: $56,268 - 250 guests: $67,269 - 300 guests: $78,269

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in South Carolina?

Riverain Farm in Travelers Rest features wheelchair-accessible pathways throughout the property along with spacious outdoor patios and convenient parking. The Oaks Wedding Venue in Anderson gives you multiple accessible ceremony settings including their signature Oak Terrace with specially reinforced pathways. Bent Creek Farm in Belton provides five different ceremony sites plus a climate-controlled barn that comfortably seats up to 200 guests. For urban elegance Hotel Bennett includes thoroughly accessible facilities throughout its ballroom setting letting everyone participate fully in your celebration.

Which South Carolina Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Gadsden House in downtown Charleston breaks the "wedding food" stereotype with exceptional cuisine that guests will actually remember. Lowndes Grove along the Ashley River produces restaurant-quality dishes from their in-house kitchen that specializes in locally-sourced seafood prepared with flair. Cannon Green delivers seasonal menus spanning coastal Italian to South Carolina favorites giving you flexibility to match your personal taste. Magnolia Plantation and Gardens pairs its stunning setting with high-quality catering options that complement the elegant surroundings rather than just filling plates.

How Can Technology Enhance Remote Participation at South Carolina Venues?

While specific tech features aren't highlighted for South Carolina venues properties like Seabrook Island Club Hotel Bennett The Cliffs and Hewitt Oaks could potentially integrate enhanced virtual experiences for your guests. Look for venues willing to accommodate interactive live streaming options virtual reality experiences or digital activities that truly engage remote attendees. The best venues go beyond simple video streaming to create meaningful connections for loved ones who can't attend in person.

What Should You Budget for Your South Carolina Wedding?

For a typical 150-guest wedding averaging $45,268 you'll want to distribute your funds strategically across these key vendors:

ServiceAverage Cost% of Total Budget
Venue$7,82117%
Catering$6,25714%
Florists$5,68813%
Bar Services$5,00611%
Photographers$3,8328%
Videographers$3,6838%
Planners$2,4895%
Bands and DJs$1,4903%
Cakes and desserts$1,3513%
Hair & Makeup$5591%

What Questions Should You Ask Before Booking a South Carolina Venue?

Ask about exclusive catering requirements since historic venues often limit kitchen facilities for preservation reasons. Get clarity on exact rental periods as many venues offer limited time windows instead of full-day access which affects your timeline. Understand capacity limitations particularly for historic properties with preservation restrictions that might impact your guest list. Request specifics on accessibility features beyond basic ADA compliance to ensure all guests feel welcome. For waterfront venues inquire about preferred tent vendors for rain contingencies; you'll want options that complement the setting while providing proper protection.

How Do Seasonal Considerations Affect South Carolina Venue Selection?

Charleston faces hurricane risk from June through November with August bringing peak humidity that can challenge outdoor events. Greenville venues enjoy cooler temperatures than coastal locations giving you more comfort flexibility during summer months. June leads venue inquiry timing despite potential heat challenges because coastal venues benefit from refreshing sea breezes that inland locations can't match. Smart couples look for venues with climate-controlled backup options; an essential feature given South Carolina's sometimes unpredictable summer weather patterns that can shift from perfect to problematic quickly.
