About this venue

Chateau Amelia is a family owned boutique wedding and events venue. The Victorian-era historic home, built circa 1905 is a meticulously kept mini mansion with an extensive wrap-around porch. Our elegantly designed barn can hold private events including weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, tea parties, reunions and retreats, for up to 100 guests. To the rear of the events barn you will find an over sized pavilion pad for outdoor seating, plus a concrete pathway leading to a forest backdrop ceremony site all set under the ambient string lighting. Located between the metros of Greenville, SC, Columbia, SC and Augusta, GA and within close proximity to Lake Greenwood, Greenwood, Clinton and Laurens, Chateau Amelia sits on almost 4 acres of beautiful South Carolina grounds. We invite you to make this charming venue the place for an unforgettable experience.

    We got married here in April 2024 and it was so beautiful. When our plans to wed in a National park near Columbia SC fell through due to torrential rain forecast, we stumbled across Chateau Amelia. We couldn't have had a more lucky turn of events, because this place offered exactly what we needed for our small group. I had always wanted to get married in a forest setting and this place delivered! The historic house is so huge and well appointed and the barn is so modern and lovely. You can tell everything is well maintained and it offered so many great moments for photography. We were able to have all our vendors come and go and everything turned out just great. If you are considering Chateau Amelia, run do not walk because this will be a popular venue in the months and years to come.
