Our experience with Owl’s Nest was absolutely incredible from start to finish! From the moment we toured the venue with Gail, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. She made the entire booking process so easy and helped us choose the perfect date. Owl’s Nest truly offers an all-in-one experience — the on-site lodging made it so convenient for our family and friends, and every space on the property is breathtaking. We hosted our wedding in The Lakehouse, which was stunning, and originally planned to have our rehearsal dinner and welcome party in The Vault. When our guest list grew, the team seamlessly moved our welcome party to The Sunset Pavilion, and it worked out perfectly! We even reserved the golf simulators at Slice, which added such a fun touch for our guests. A huge thank-you to Taylor, our event planner — she was absolutely amazing. She put so much thought and detail into everything and made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. The night before and the day of the wedding, she and her team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. I was nervous about vendor coordination, and Taylor personally reached out to each one to confirm everything so I wouldn’t have to worry. On our wedding day, she was my cheerleader, problem-solver, and calm in the chaos. I know Owl’s Nest has several planners, but I truly feel so lucky to have had Taylor. She made our entire experience unforgettable, and we could not have asked for a better venue or team. I would recommend Owl’s Nest to any couple looking for a beautiful, seamless, and joy-filled wedding experience!

My husband and I got married at Okemo in August 2025, and we couldn’t recommend it more! The resort is absolutely stunning—the grounds are beautifully maintained, the location is incredibly convenient, and the town of Ludlow is adorable. Since most of our guests were traveling from out of town, having everyone stay in one place for the entire weekend was priceless. Our guests loved the variety of activities at the resort, how easy it was to pop into town, and the many room options available at Jackson Gore Inn. What truly sealed the deal for us, though, was the wedding team at Okemo. Kim Vezina worked closely with my mom and me throughout the whole planning process. Our monthly and weekly Zoom calls with her kept us organized and completely at ease. On the wedding day, Kim was with me every step of the way—solving problems on the fly and making everything run smoothly. My husband and I also wanted our first look at the top of the mountain, and Kim handled every detail to make it happen. She is truly on your team! Redmond was also incredibly helpful the entire wedding weekend, always available for anything we needed through set up. The food and bar service were excellent—plated quickly, delicious, and the team was wonderful to work with as we chose our menu. Okemo is truly an underrated wedding venue. It’s a one-stop shop for an unforgettable experience—flexible, personable, and professional from start to finish. Could not recommend it more!

The Inn at Pleasant Lake had a bit of a delayed and disorganized communication style leading up to our wedding day. While the grounds and gardens were quite nice, the overall presentation and upkeep could have been better. The staff did spread mums around and were accommodating, but they seemed unprepared to handle the larger size of our wedding. The venue has a lot of potential to be a great wedding spot, but they need a more organized staff that can deliver on their promises. Overall, the experience was beautiful and we would recommend it.

Mayfair Farm
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
Harrisville, NH
  • Up to 200 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $16,000

In 2011 we purchased an old dairy farm in a quiet corner of Harrisville, New Hampshire. We cleared fields, planted orchards and gardens, built barns and a commercial kitchen, boiled maple syrup, raised pigs and sheep, and opened a farm store. Our goal was to create a thriving farm that would serve our family, the community, and visitors like you. Today, that dream is a reality. Mayfair Farm offers a complete special events package that is truly unique. With our inspiring views, welcoming barn, and farm-to-table menu, your family and friends will share a one-of-a-kind experience. Our menu is hand-crafted and ethically produced, and each item is made with the most important ingredient—love. And, as our client, you will enjoy the benefits of flexibility and collaboration as we guide you through each step of the event-planning process. If you can think it up, we would love to help you make it happen. We look forward to sharing our farm with you! Sarah Heffron and Craig Thompson

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides setup and cleanup
  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • Additional event staff required
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • On-site parking not available
The Perfect Combination of Beauty, Comfort, and Efficiency We were married at Mayfair Farm on Labor Day weekend 2025. We had about 130 guests. We had many requirements regarding food, drink, comfort of guests, the ceremony, and meals. It’s hard to imagine a host with greater caring, talent, taste, and efficiency than Sarah, the owner. Everything was perfect, even beyond perfect, like a dream! Facility: Mayfair Farm is a beautiful venue. The custom-designed barn was perfect for dining, dancing, serving, and preparation. The firepit right outside the barn made for memorable gatherings, especially on a chilly evening, and with the fun of preparing S’more’s for the guests over the fire. The scenery is gorgeous, particularly the top-of-the-hill ceremony spot surrounded by New Hampshire hills and mountains. The gorgeous view and natural setting added much to the wedding experience. The short walk up the hill to the ceremony hilltop was easy, and elderly guests were driven up without any issue. The barn and farm have professional kitchens so that preparing and serving a meal for 130 people went off without any issues. There was plenty of parking for guests. There is an AirBnB on-site where we stayed and got ready. It was comfortable and great for the hair/make-up preparations before the ceremony. Sarah made her entire facility available to us for the entire weekend—this made things highly convenient and relaxing. For meals, they helped us arrange for a beautiful tent to be set up right outside the barn, so we could use the barn for dancing. The table set-up was gorgeous, which contributed to a memorable, emotionally touching event. Planning: Sarah is a total professional, with the taste and experience to make our event as perfect as we had hoped for. Interacting with Sarah was a pleasure. She is kind, creative, and deeply cares about our hopes for the day and making them come to fruition. She made terrific suggestions on logistics and food, and was creative and responsive in iterating until we finalized the menus. She specializes in farm-to-table food, with local farmers, and this made everything healthy and delicious. She assisted us with vendors (e.g., flowers, tent, wedding planner, bartender, toilets) who provided excellent services. Sarah has a staff of efficient, trusted people who know just what to do, while at the same time exuding warmth and friendship while working. Whatever tension might be present on a wedding day, these workers diffused it and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. This is huge and played a big role in the perfection of our wedding weekend. Day-of Excellence: All of the above contributed to a wedding weekend that seemed effortless for us and our guests, and of course we saw and understood the tremendous amount of teamwork, talent, and effort went on behind the scenes. We felt relaxed, as did our parents and guests. We all enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and the meaningful, beautiful gathering, ceremony, and celebration. Bottom Line: Mayfair Farm and Sarah provide a specialized offering unlike any other, and at a reasonable price. If you want a wedding in a rural setting, with farm-to-table food prepared to perfection, and a flawless, relaxed ‘vibe’ to the day, look no further. The bonus is that we felt cared for, we saw our vision come to life under Sarah’s supervision, and we saw Sarah’s employees and vendors enthusiastically and efficiently make everything happen perfectly. Highest recommendation.

We had a truly beautiful 95-guest wedding in August 2025 at Mount Snow. The ceremony was in the Wedding Garden, a semi-last-minute change that we decided on and they accommodated us easily. Our reception was at Carinthia Lodge, and we did our first look photos on the mountain top. We also had a welcome reception the evening before at the golf club (which happens to be the spot where we got engaged!). Everything was dreamy- it's the best word to describe it all. The entire team worked so hard to make our day perfect and it was! Our coordinator Stacy worked within our budget and helped us find flexible food and beverage options for each of our events. I also have pretty strict dietary restrictions and they made me the perfect meal for the reception. I had only seen Carinthia Lodge during ski season and was completely in awe at how elegant and refined it looked for our reception. It was the perfect space! There was even a room where we could chill out for a few minutes in private, change into my cocktail dress, practice our dance one last time, and just have a quiet moment. The day went off without a hitch and we had such a fantastic time. Our guests had a wonderful time, too. Our day was magical and unforgettable. Everyone on staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and we really felt cared for. We could not have asked for more!

The quality of the Inn’s service and the vendors they recommended turned into a simply stunning outcome - the venue's ambiance was truly transformative, elevating our special day to a magical, luxurious yet timeless experience. The food was outstanding, and our guests are still raving. The people who work at The Hermitage Inn are so friendly and detail-oriented - we would choose this venue again in a heartbeat. In fact, all of our family and friends are still reaching out saying how much fun they had at our wedding and calling it the best wedding they’ve ever been to. The planner Gina is exceptional. Gina and her assistant were extremely responsive and knowledgeable throughout the entire planning process. Special shout out to our favorite bartender Amanda and server Kristen - we love you! Where do we even start? We just returned from our honeymoon and are still reveling in the most magical wedding weekend we could have ever had. It’s all thanks to Meesha at The Wilburton Inn. From the moment we came for our initial tour, Meesha was all you could want out of a wedding planner, as well as a friend who is thoughtful, kind, smart, and more than a joy to be around. She helped with every single aspect of our planning, and we trusted here word entirely — we couldn’t have been more happy with working with her! As to the venue, there is simply no better place to have a wedding. For context, my husband and I have big families. A lot of our family members were coming in from out of town and out of the country, so our priority was to have a wedding weekend where people could be together for more than one night. This is exactly what we got with the Wilburton. Our guests were able to play tennis, go hiking, go swimming, explore Manchester and, most of all, be together in the days leading up to the actual wedding. We reserved almost all of the houses on the property for guests to stay in, which created a laidback atmosphere as most people didn’t have to worry about driving back and forth or leaving at any point. As for the wedding night, it was pure magic. The food was perfect, the service was perfect, the weather (luckily) was also perfect, which was just the cherry on top. You cannot beat the people, the venue, and THE VIEWS!!! We wish we could do it all over again, but we are looking forward to visiting The Wilburton again for many, many years to come.

We feel so lucky to have found the West Mountain Inn for our wedding. We first visited about a year before our wedding and immediately felt like it would be the perfect place for our special day. We were greeted by the resident golden retrievers, who followed us on our tour. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll be very happy with this venue! But really, it was Amie, Mary Beth and the rest of the staff who sold us. We immediately felt like they cared about making your day as perfect as possible for us, which was very welcome after touring other venues which felt like they wanted to squeeze every penny from us. After we decided on the venue, Amie was so willing to work with people like us who wanted to plan every detail possible. Amie answered all of my questions and sent additional information like floor plans so I could plan who was assigned to each room as soon as possible. Her communication over email was so incredible helpful! We absolutely loved that we could have so many guests staying at the inn and knew that would be perfect for our winter wedding. Next came our tasting, which was such a fun event. There are two tastings a year, both in March (though I think you could have a private tasting if you need). We loved being able to stay at the inn for a night and meet all of the other couples getting married here within the year. As our wedding was in February, we had to wait a long time between the tasting and trying the food again, and it absolutely didn’t disappoint! Chef Jeff did an amazing job with our welcome party, breakfast and lunch the day of the wedding, the absolutely amazing wedding dinner (and late night snacks), and brunch the next morning! We heard that most couples have a hard time eating during their weddings, but we cleaned our plates! Definitely try the butternut squash ravioli, it is incredible! We had our ceremony in the barn, then moved to the bar in the inn for cocktail hour, then dinner in the dining room, and dancing in the living room. They take out the big pieces of living room furniture and move some chairs to the side for dancing. A lot of my family was skeptical about that, but the inn knows what they’re doing!! The dance floor was plenty big for our party of 60 (and I’m sure it could have accommodate larger groups), and the chairs on the sides were a huge hit! It was incredible to be able to sit down for a minute and still feel like you’re a part of the party. I know a lot of our guests enjoyed that as well. We got ready in the Norman Rockwell suite, which worked out well since we had a small bridal party. We also loved getting to see all the rooms in the inn - every room is thought out so well and has little details that are so fun to find! We thought the inn was what made our wedding weekend so magical and cannot wait to visit again on anniversaries or other special occasions. Thank you so much to the entire team - we are so grateful to you!

Northfield, NH

This beautiful building was built in the late 1800s as a railroad station to support the loading, unloading, and storage of freight. In 1990, it was restored to become an event and wedding venue that can easily accommodate 120 of your closest family and friends. The leather belt-driven ceiling fans, wooden phone booth, beadboard ceilings and walls, vintage baggage cart, and authentic gas-fired, pot-bellied stoves add to the charming atmosphere of this function hall. Our hall is the perfect setting for weddings & receptions. There is also the option to add our Out-of-Town Guest Suite for overnight stays. This one bedroom quarters is a one minute drive and a short walk to the venue hall.

Staff/owners were very friendly and helpful. The venue is beautiful, many different options for wonderful pictures inside and outside. It was so convenient and so easy dealing with just one person for food and venue. And the food was really good. I was able to do just minimal decorating because the venue has such a beautiful charm and it didn't need to be overshadowed. I highly recommend for any event

20/10 recommend getting married on the Mountain Top! The venue in and of itself is a DREAM. The staff and servers went above and beyond. Shout out to the events coordinator manager, Danny, who quite literally was always smiling and checking in on us our entire wedding weekend. My husband and I live out in Seattle, but we’re both from Massachusetts. We wanted somewhere in New England that has that rugged mountain landscape, but also somewhere everyone could join us for the whole weekend. I’m so obsessed with it here, can’t WAIT to come back! We used Meadows Edge Florals for our flowers/decorations, and I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Gayle and her team. We used Juniper Studios for photography and Angela and Idena’s talents are something I can’t even put into words. Best decisions I’ve ever made.

We are so glad we chose Lake Morey resort for our wedding venue. Our top priority for our venue was to find a place where our friends and family would be able to share quality time together, have fun, and enjoy the outdoors. Lake Morey nailed it with their social environment, gorgeous grounds, and amazing live music. We had our ceremony in the Hemlock Gardens, with cocktail hour in Mapleview Gardens & tented reception on the lawn — all the venues dressed up beautifully for the big day. While food wasn’t a huge priority for us when selecting the venue, Lake Morey greatly exceeded our expectations. The reception food and hors d’oeuvres were delicious and garnered a ton of compliments. And no review of Lake Morey would be complete without a shout-out to Bonnie, the in-house wedding coordinator, who is exceptional. She was extremely organized, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. When we had a scare about getting rained out, she proactively made sure to book the nicest spaces for backup venues at no upcharge for us (fortunately, the skies did clear up for the big day, but she saved our welcome party from disaster). It was so clear to us that Bonnie really cares about the couples she works with — it’s more than just a job for her. Thank you once again Bonnie and all the amazing staff at Lake Morey!

The venue itself was cozy, charming and absolutely beautiful, creating the perfect space for our special day. We had about 40 people in attendance and everyone fit comfortably with room for a “dance floor”. Cassandra, the on-site coordinator, was so wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and on the wedding day - we couldn't have asked for a better partner to bring our vision to life. We are so grateful to the entire Oscar Barn team for making our wedding party truly magical.

Manchester country club was the perfect venue for us. I can't think of a single con for the venue. Everything was amazing. There are so many pretty areas and it's separated from the rest of the country club and there is only one wedding per day so it feels very private. We got married on the balcony which was gorgeous. All the food was really, really good. The drinks were really good. My signature drink was a mojito and it was a perfect mojito. Both Kim and Fallon were pros and very easy to work with and incredibly helpful. In my opinion the biggest separator between this venue and other venues we looked at was the bridal suite. We got access to the bridal suite at 9am and the bridal suite is a room that was made to be a bridal suite. It's got a sitting area, a makeup and hair counter and chairs, an area with 3 walls of mirrors, and a private bathroom. The mirror area made really nice getting ready photos. My bridesmaids and I spent hours getting ready and it was so nice just to show up in the morning, have the hair and makeup team come to the venue and just be at the venue for the rest of the day and not have to worry about changing locations. We also were free to take photos before the ceremony so a couple hours before the ceremony we took our first look, wedding party, and close family members photos. We spent the first 20 minutes of the cocktail hour getting the remaining photos and then enjoyed our own cocktail hour. We looked at other venues where you were not allowed at the venue until as little as 90 minutes before your ceremony and that was not for us. My goal for the wedding was to minimize stress and be able to enjoy everything about the day and Manchester Country Club was great for that. Everything was easy. There were zero surprises with the bill and zero hidden fees. Considering how good the food, bar, and overall experience was, I was very happy with the prices. Our guests loved the venue too. Just an amazing venue. This was the second to last venue we toured, out of a list of six we wanted to see in person, and by the end of the tour I knew this was our venue.
