In 2010, we set out to serve Washington Heights with the finest homestyle Italian cuisine, made with love. Saggio's menu features handmade pasta, Italian-inspired cocktails, and an all Italian wine list. Our garden patio is a neighborhood gem. We curated the space to feel like the Italian countryside. It has two art installation lemon trees created by local artists, Elizabeth Santana with Esblooms. The string lights are wrapped in ivy. The walls of the patio are lined with seasonal florals and unique potted plants. The space is flexible and has a retractable roof that covers the entire space. Westwind Orchard is a BioIntensive Orchard and Farm. Our unfiltered and sulfite free cider is pressed onsite. We raise our own chickens. Our honey comes from our bees. We bake our own bread and make fresh mozzarella. Berries, vegetables and herbs are fresh from our garden. Our team will help you curate the perfect menu that highlights our farm-to-table Roman-style cuisine. Each season we host a select number of private events ranging from work retreats, to luncheons, to rehearsal dinners & weddings. Each event is curated by our management team, our events coordinator, and executive chef. We offer traditional Roman-style cuisine inspired by the seasons in a casual family-style format. For over a century patrons have found comfort in this historic building nestled in the heights of the Meadowlands, presently home to Ivy Inn. Opened in the 1870’s as a stagecoach inn, travelers in horse and carriage along Polifly Road (later named Terrace Avenue) stopped here to eat and drink in the tavern below and sleep in one of six guest quarters above. After the turn of the 20th century, the inn evolved into a fine dining restaurant (a popular speakeasy during Prohibition), but eventually fell into disrepair. On Valentine’s Day of 1997, after extensive restoration, the inn once again opened its doors for fine dining, renamed Ivy Inn. Ivy, the symbol of love and marriage, has proven to be a fitting name. Since reopening, the restaurant has witnessed countless marriage proposals, weddings and anniversary celebrations. Continuing its long legacy of hospitality, the inn is once again a Bergen County favorite and continues to inspire cherished memories for many years to come.
