I founded Fusion Events to answer a call that I heard. It was that feeling that I could found a business that would push boundaries and allow me to deliver what my clients wanted. Food and Events that are Fresh, Bold, and Memorable.

Today, through Yes, Chef Marco, I bring that depth of experience into private homes and extraordinary venues throughout Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Malibu, and Southern California. Food First Events & Catering Co. came to life in 2005 when our Chef and owner, David Gussin graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, Ca. Chef Gussin went on to work in the kitchens of James Beard Award & Michelin Star chefs. Chef Gussin’s resume includes heading up some of LA's hottest restaurants as their Executive Chef including: STK, Fig & Olive, Akasha and Cleo -- not to mention our dedicated sushi chef studied under chef Katsuya. I was born and raised in Mexico, and from a young age, I had the opportunity to travel abroad, discovering the magic of different cuisines, deeply rooted in Mexican culture. I graduated in 2005 from The Art Institute of California in Culinary Arts. In 2007, I started my own business, which I have continued to this day. My catering menu is inspired by a fusion of the best dishes I have created, drawing from different cultures, cuisines, and travel experiences. I love to explore and experiment with fusion cuisine.

We offer full-scale event production and catering services in Southern California region. We aim to use local ingredients to highlight regional cuisines from around the world. We handle parties for families of 10, small weddings, up to large scale corporate events for 400 guests.
