We knew from before we started mapping out our wedding that we wanted a taco truck, and we figured it would not be an easy task to get one of such quality to come out to the boonies of Vermont. But Trail Break did, and they made the whole process so easy! We were completely floored during our first tasting with them, at just how good every single item on their menu is. We locked it in immediately from there and never looked back. The fact that they can be your food and drink provider, all in one, is huge. And it’s just all so good, with so many flexible options for drinks from batch cocktails to single serve cans - they really work with you to match what you’re looking for. And then on site, I can’t say enough good things about how flexible and chill they were. Loved the service, loved the aesthetic, loved the food, loved hanging on to all the leftovers for guests to snack on and enjoy later in the night. Truly the best!!”

“I loved loved loved our experience with Comeketo catering for our wedding. Right from the start the service through Eduarda was impeccable. She went above and beyond every step of the way. I cannot say enough good things about her. And even if the food was average I probably would still recommended Comeketo just based on service alone but the food was fantastic. We did two tastings with them, as the food at our wedding was one of the most important things to us and we wanted to curate the perfect menu. Our guests were a good mix of different ethnicities and age groups and they all raved about the food. They also worked with me to create a custom grazing table and our guests loved that too! I just wish I had more photos of the rest of the food. I I will surely be using them for all our catering events!”

“We loved Simple Fare! I don't write reviews unless I truly mean it. The food was absolutely delicious, working with them was so easy, communication was constant, and I sometimes felt like Maeghan was my second Wedding Coordinator. She had so many good ideas and always kept our vision and most importantly (to us), our budget in mind! She helped us organize our floor plan in a way that kept things running smooth and kept people partying - for example, coffee and desserts on the edge of the dance floor to keep people dancing all night! As someone who had no idea where to begin planning, I appreciated every bit of guidance Maeghan provided. Our venue had a list of preferred caterers but we specifically went off-list so we could work with Simple Fare! Because they were not pre-approved, there were some additional hoops to jump through, but Maeghan and Candice and everyone at Simple Fare went above and beyond to make sure everything was covered and that the process was smooth on our end. Truly no extra steps were added for us. Candice was our on-site event manager and went the extra mile to make sure our dinner service ran smoothly. She coordinated tables for the buffet so there was never a line, and stopped by our sweetheart table multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted! The bartenders and servers did an amazing job and seemed to be having a great time during the reception, which in turn made all the guests have an even better time! Who says you can't have fun while doing your job, you know? Everyone raved about the food, and I can attest it was delicious. Get the short rib!!! And the stuffed mushrooms and oatmeal raisin cookies :) I'd recommend their food and service to anyone planning an event!”

From the first conversation all the way through the end of the event, everything was handled with so much professionalism, care, and attention to detail. Planning an event can be stressful, especially when you’re trying to make sure the food, setup, timing, and overall experience come together the way you imagined. The team at Maison D made the entire process feel so much easier. They listened to what we wanted, communicated with us throughout the process, and were very accommodating when it came to the little details that mattered to us. The food was honestly one of the highlights of the event. Everything tasted fresh, was seasoned really well, and the presentation was beautiful. Our guests kept talking about how good the food was, and several people even asked who catered the event. “I cannot recommend Soraya (and her team)’s catering more enthusiastically, for any event but especially if you are looking for cuisine that isn’t your typical banquet fare. When my wife and I first started planning our wedding, we agreed that delicious and personal were our top priorities for food. We’d had so many wedding meals that were *nice* - lovely service and presentation - but kind of boring and uninspired. We love to feed our friends good food that they can’t easily make or get elsewhere and wanted to reflect that in our wedding. We agree that the North African food I’d grown up eating is the best cuisine on earth and we wanted to serve that, but worried that a wedding caterer couldn’t do it justice and we might have to navigate the hassle or no-frills approach of working with a restaurant that doesn’t really do weddings. Thankfully, we’d found an incredible wedding planner (Rachel of One Bell Designs) who assured us no compromise was necessary, because she knew just the caterer. When she shared the vast menu for SYB Events I was still a little bit skeptical, since while I saw some intriguing dishes there was still a lot of the usual wedding fare—but then I googled Soraya’s name and found the Soraya Events site with its more focused menus, and knew we had to meet with her. And we didn’t talk to any other caterers after that, because Soraya heard the vision and met each of our ideas with her own. We asked about a number of my favorites we hadn’t seen on her menus and she affirmed she could provide them with absolute confidence, and she was more than happy to tailor the service and timing to fit our very particular vision. One of my favorite things about working with Soraya was the at-home tasting she arranged and dropped off at our house (with a complimentary bottle of wine!), which fed us for most of a week and affirmed with dish after delicious dish that we’d made the perfect choice. When it came to the wedding day, she and her team seamlessly worked with Rachel’s to set up a kitchen in our unequipped venue. Soraya’s timing was incredible; she turned up at the exact moments we needed sustenance bearing coffee, hors d’oeuvres, and full plates when we arrived at the sweetheart table that were still hot. From the iced coffee welcome with cardamom and rose water syrups to the mezze spread reception to the couscous and tagines and kofta at the buffet, every bite was delicious and distinctly North African. We lost count of the number of guests who told us it was the best wedding food they’d ever had! My slightly jaded heart really didn’t expect our wedding to feel as special as it did, and Soraya was a huge part of that—we are so grateful!”
