“My husband and I got married this past August and I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while but we had a big move and time got away from us. As a wedding vendor myself I know how important it is to have a DJ that can balance fun and professionalism, but Joey Chang did just that. He was punctual, detail oriented, and our guest couldn’t stop talking about how good he was, both as a musician and as a DJ. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. If you want your wedding to be classy, romantic, a total rager, and go off without a hitch, I would highly recommend hiring Cello Joe!”

He first created us a sample music playlist for us to see what his DJ style was like and we loved it! “We always knew we wanted a live band at our wedding, and Soul Siren absolutely delivered. They brought so much energy to the night and made our reception feel like a real celebration. They are incredibly talented musicians and performers, and having live music added something to our wedding that a playlist or DJ simply couldn’t have replicated. Our guests had such a great time, the dance floor was full, and we received so many compliments about the band throughout the night and afterward. Like any live event, there were a few little things behind the scenes that didn’t go exactly as planned, but honestly, no one noticed—Soul Siren are professionals and knew how to keep the night moving and make it work. My biggest piece of advice for future couples is just to be very clear and specific ahead of time about the songs that are most important to you and exactly how you’d like them performed. Give them that direction, and then let them do what they do best. We are so glad we chose Soul Siren.
