When I started this company, I wanted to bring all of the experience I had from earning my certificate in Audio Production Technologies at Mesa Community College, to the stage hand experience I gained from working for Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, NBA Allstars, Elton John, to the 7 rock/metal bands I performed with as a drummer, singer, bass player, and guitar, and even working with the monitoring engineer for Jethro Tull at the Interlochen Center for the Performing Arts, including Box Scaggs and Michael Mcdonald, and Diana Ross. Now with 20 years of Entertainment, performing weekly, sometimes nightly, I have the skills to make your day unforgettable!

Motor City HDJ started in 1999 as a way to pay for college. The more of my friends' weddings I attended, the more I realized how many bad DJs are out there in the world. I decided at that point I was going to be the "anti-DJ," committing myself to do the opposite of the things that bad DJs do.

I planned our entire wedding and reception and coordinated it all, too. My new bride told me that with my personality, my intense desire to always provide phenomenal customer service, my love of music, my business skills, and the awesome job I did with our wedding and reception, I should start doing it for other couples. The dream was born, and a year later, we were in business. That was 10 years ago. It has been an awesome ride!
