Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (110 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Brooktondale, NY

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

As a wedding floral designer, I am passionate about crafting unique arrangements that capture each couple's unique love story. I find great joy in transforming visions into beautiful realities, making their special day unforgettable.

“Mohican Flowers was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our very first interaction, their communication was clear and consistent--they made the entire process seamless. When it came to the quality of their work, it was truly exceptional. The bouquets and arch they created were not only beautiful, but also showed a level of thoughtfulness and professionalism that exceeded our expectations. We gave them very little to work with in terms of direction (only the color of the bridesmaids dresses), and they were still able to arrange everything perfectly to complement our wedding day. We couldn't have been happier with Mohican Flowers and highly recommend them to any couple planning their special day!”

Floral Eden is an East Coast floral décor and production company creating weddings and events that feel beautiful, intentional, and completely personal. We handle everything from personal flowers and centerpieces to ceremony installations, reception décor, styling, setup, repurposing, and breakdown. Our goal is to make the whole space feel connected, not like a bunch of separate floral pieces. “The Floral Eden brought our wedding vision to life in ways we didn't even expect. From our first conversation, the team responded to every question and concern right away, and they truly understood what we wanted for our big day. They created the most stunning centerpieces that sat on each table, and candles were placed throughout the venue to set the perfect mood. When we walked into our reception, the combination of florals and candlelight made everything feel absolutely magical and romantic. “Highly recommend working with Heather at Cullen Creations. I had a very specific image of what I wanted, and Heather patiently worked with me to make it a reality. She had also worked at our venue before (Full Moon Resort), which made the process much simpler. I really appreciated her consideration for our budget, and she had lots of creative ideas for ways to save money while staying true to the vision. Heather was also very open to our DIY ideas, and happily worked with us to incorporate our handmade items (table numbers, signage, etc). Our Hindu ceremony required a large platform and mandap, and Heather was the only vendor we could find in the Catskills who was able to provide one. The wooden frame, handmade by her husband, was exactly what we pictured. Thank you again Heather!!”

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (44 reviews)
  • Serves Brooktondale, NY

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
“I was so impressed with The Faux Bouquets for our wedding! Brittany, the owner, was incredibly quick to respond, thorough in her communication, and had such a friendly and fun personality. She really went above and beyond to make sure we got the perfect faux floral arrangements for our big day. The quality of their work is truly unique and you can tell they are so passionate about what they do. We were able to take advantage of a special deal on the flowers I wanted, and they even upgraded some of the pieces for free! Compared to other faux floral companies in the area, we were able to get much more for our money. I'm so glad I took the time for the 15 minute consultation with Brittany - it was so helpful to see the items at scale and she customized our order perfectly. Our wedding is not until 2027 but we got them early and I LOVE them. I also like that the suites aren’t cookie cutter so each of my bridesmaids have their own style.”

The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
  • Starts at $1,800
  • Serves Brooktondale, NY

I bring both professional and academic training to every arrangement. I studied fine arts at the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League university, and I apply that same eye for color, composition, and detail to every bouquet, centerpiece, and installation. Your florals aren't just decorations to me. They're a work of art, built specifically for your day. Wedding florals shouldn't force you to choose between beautiful and affordable. I've watched too many couples fall in love with a Pinterest board, then feel deflated by the quote that comes with it. That's not how I work.

“You can't imagine the time I went through finding and screening different florists. I chose The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals because they responded quickly, were organized, and communicated with me exceptionally well. I had a beach wedding and was looking for a more unique type of table centerpiece than what florists usually provide. The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals was able to capture my wedding theme perfectly. She was able to create 12 boat floral table centerpieces for our outdoor tables. Guests absolutely loved them and were really excited to take them home afterward. If you've been searching for a long time for a wedding florist, this is finally the right one. I know it was the best decision for me.”

After the global zombie apocalypse, in the early winter of '24, I heeded the call, picked up my shovel and shotgun and headed out to the fields. I've made it my mission to hunt these jokers down, wrangle them together, and to serve to you dead off the proverbial platter. In these post-apocalyptic times, the zombie flowers make for excellent mantle trophies, but some have said they make awesome wedding bouquets. They were amazing at their communication leading up to the event and delivered the bouquets promptly according to our schedule the day of the event. Their punctuality gave our models enough time to rehearse the runway with their florals. Aside from their great professionalism, Zombie Flowers is a super creative company. “My husband and I decided to have an intimate micro-wedding with 12 other people in June of 2024, and organized just about everything ourselves, including the flowers. As part of the planning process, we sought out a preservation artist who could freeze this element of our wedding forever in time. I found Jackie of Evergreen Botanical Studio and her 3-D preservation style matched exactly what I was looking for, so we booked our date with her as soon as we could. She was the PERFECT choice. She took my crazy wild bouquet, my grandmother’s handkerchiefs that wrapped the stems, all the extra flowers from the arrangements, and even some delphinium from her own garden (because she's such an angel and took pity on me that mine didn’t quite survive), and created a work of art that takes me directly back to my wedding day and reminds me of all the amazingness that unfolded. AND she crafted the most wonderful little memento for my Mom, that was completed in time to gift for her 50th wedding anniversary, just months after our event. Jackie was so easy to work with, providing detailed instructions for packaging and shipping the flowers from the Midwest, eased my worry by confirming as soon as she received them, and gave a timeline and explanation of how the whole preservation process works. It seems like magic that the flowers in the finished product look just as they did on the day of our wedding. There is something extra special about the care and artistry that she applies to each and every project she works on. You can feel the passion for her craft shining through, from the vibrant colors and clever composition to the expertly homemade frames. This was an important part of our wedding budget, and we are so glad we made the investment, not only as an extra special keepsake but also to support a fellow artist and small business owner. You won’t be disappointed making the same choice!”
