A full-service wedding florist serving NYC, Syracuse, Rochester, and The Finger Lakes, Wilder Gardens + Flowers has created wildly elegant florals for galas, fashion shows, and weddings at some of the best venues in New York for over a decade, and more recently, at boutique venues in Central New York. Owner and Lead Designer Alex Abuza approaches her beautifully untamed wedding flowers with passion, cohesiveness, and an environmental ethic, taking inspiration from the landscapes, gardens and seasons around her.

Alex is a garden designer as well as floral designer and a true outdoors woman who is always seeking inspiration outside. It is the wild beauty of the landscape that most inspires her and infuses her floral work. Whether her clients’ wedding decor calls for dramatic design or the simple strokes of nature, Alex breathes life and energy into their visions with her modern organic aesthetic, incorporating locally field-grown flowers, blooms from her cutting gardens and forage from her land wherever possible.

    We used Alexandra for our wedding in the Finger Lakes region and had a fantastic experience. She has a unique eye and really made our vision of greenery and soft, natural florals come to life. She was incredibly accommodating and imaginative. We trusted her taste completely. We were on a budget and she managed to make the place look we weren't!

    Alex is the best. She has impeccable taste and the second I spoke to her, I knew she was special. She maximized our budget and her attention to detail and color was remarkable!! I would use her services a hundred times again if I could. She’s just too cool and too talented - my favorite part of our wedding. Everyone was talking about the flowers - for good reason - just gorgeous.

    I have worked with Alex for the past four years. She has become one of my "go to" vendors when it comes to all things floral design, plants and over all styling and good taste. Alex is one of the few florists I know that can take my direction and deliver exactly what I envisioned. When we work together she immediately becomes part of my team. Her style and attention to detail is impeccable! Highly recommend!

    My husband and I were looking for an understated yet intimate and personal feel for our NYC wedding. We did not want anything that looked over the top, but we did want our flowers to be beautiful and to feel like us. Alex understood exactly what we wanted in seconds, and even found ways to reference some of the traveling we had done together, giving our wedding an added personal touch. We also had fun collaborating with her on palette and all aspects of decor. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!
