Irene did such a wonderful job with the flowers for our wedding this June!! She thought of everything—it was a hot day and she gave us a spray bottle to keep the bouquets fresh. We told her we wanted to reuse our arbor flowers in the reception area after the ceremony and she made it very easy for us to do so. She is so kind and creative. She even put together an extra bouquet at the last minute to help us celebrate a friend who got some big news right before the wedding. When I first reached out, I had almost no idea what I wanted for my flowers, but Irene worked with the limited reference points I had to make something more beautiful than I could have imagined. Would recommend her to anyone!!

To save yourself reading time (because this WILL be long), pick up the phone and call Irene right now! It will be one of the best decisions you’ll make. I don’t think I can adequately put into words how wonderful it was to work with Irene, but I’ll do my very best. For starters, she is an absolute delight to work with. She so clearly puts her entire heart and soul into everything she does, and it will leave you feeling so loved and cared for. She is a master of her craft. She’s not only extremely knowledgeable about all things floral, but she has a rare talent when it comes to pulling something from someone else’s head and bringing it to life. My husband and I knew what colors we wanted, but I am not the most visual of thinkers and I was admittedly terrified of the floral process. That fear went away instantly with Irene. She asked insightful questions, listened attentively to our vision for the day (the feeling, not just look), and made thorough plans and suggestions for us to review. She walked us through each potential plan while giving us as much freedom as we wanted. Irene balances that well - being exactly as helpful as you need without overstepping or making you feel any less in control of your day. She was fully transparent with pricing and we never felt pressured to spend more than we’d planned or were comfortable with. Irene made sure we understood all of our options, with no question being too small or too obvious. With Irene, I never felt like I was choosing between my perfect day and my comfort, budget-wise. We were able to visit her farm and see all of the flowers in person before selecting them for our arbor, center pieces, bouquets, and boutonnieres. Seeing them grow in her garden and getting to listen to her tell us all about them while walking us through every step (literally and figuratively) was a memorable part of our planning journey and SO much fun. With Irene, we were able to use all native plants (grown in her home garden!!), which was very important to us, and she helped me surprise my husband with a Black-Eyed Susan in his boutonniere to honor his state flower. On the day of the wedding, Irene was a joy to have around, not to mention punctual and efficient. We never stressed for a single moment about all the beautiful details coming together. It felt like the floral arrangements magically appeared without us having to lift a finger (I suppose they did, though the “magic” was Irene). The flowers were better than we ever could have imagined they’d be. They were so US. That doesn’t happen by chance. That happens when you work with someone passionate, caring, and talented. Someone who genuinely cares about you and wants your day to be everything you’ve been dreaming it could be. That is Irene. That is Black Bantam. That is priceless.

Irene is wonderful to work with, and helped make my wedding absolutely beautiful. You can tell she really knows what she's doing, and all the florals were gorgeous & exactly what I asked for.

Irene was very considerate with our wants and needs. She is a pleasure to work with!!! Highly recommend! She even made sure the arrangements we took home are pet friendly.
