I found my passion early in life and was crazy enough to pursue the idea of sharing it with the world. I don’t believe in such a thing as “too much” when it comes to expressions of love – especially when it’s a wedding! I earned my bachelors and masters degrees in photojournalism from the University of Missouri, *cough cough* known as the best journalism school in the nation. Throughout my schooling, I trained closely with award-winning photojournalists Rita Reed and David Rees, and I’ve worked with organizations like the Washington Post and USA Today. In my limited spare time, you can find me hiking in the mountains or eating Del Taco.

Usually, I would tell me couples "I've been doing this too long". But then I'll realize that I've been saying that for a long time now. I also would tell me couple that my main job is their story teller. That's the fun part. Before I even get to the first hundred photos, I would try to get to know them first. How they are with each other, how they met, how they stand next to each other and how they hold one another. I also try to find out how they smile and laugh with each other. Those would be the ingredients I need to make great photos with them. I've been a photographer for almost 2 decades, a dad, a husband and weekend adventurer.

Kristen specializes in intimate desert weddings and unconventional elopements for laid-back lovers. She is based in Palm Springs and believes your wedding day should be as unique as you and your beautiful love story. Kristen started photographing at age 10 and always knew she was meant to be an artist. She spent her college years traveling the world, living in South Africa and South Korea as well as many States through the U.S. She received her BA in Fine Art Photography. Kristen met her husband, Trevor, on an airplane. They sat right next to each other, talked the entire flight, and eloped in Las Vegas five years later.
