How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Accepted Answer

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Question 2

Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding. For small weddings and elopements, I may bring an assistant to help with gear. For large weddings (80 or more guests) you may add a second shooter for an hourly fee. Brides and grooms like to do this in order to capture more details of their day,

Question 3

Will you edit all our pictures?

Accepted Answer

Definitely. After choosing the best of the best photos, your images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I do not deliver or edit unflattering images. I do not deliver RAW or unedited images.

Question 4

Do you also offer video services?

Accepted Answer

No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. If you need recommendations for videography, let me know!

Question 5

How long will it take to see our pictures?

Accepted Answer

I do offer a 24-hour turn-around time for sneak peeks! This consists of 15 or more images. As for the rest of your gallery, my turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. You can also expect to receive a gallery link to your high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your peeps and order prints.

How many pictures will we get?

You can expect about 40 to 50 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Question 7

Do you have insurance?

Accepted Answer

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

Question 8

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

Accepted Answer

In my experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant.

Question 9

Do you require a retainer fee when booking? Is this refundable?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A 25% retainer is needed to secure your date and time of the wedding. The remaining amount is due 60 days prior to your special day! The 25% retainer covers the time spent coordinating pre-wedding arrangements and securing a date which would otherwise be unavailable to other Clients. The retainer fee is transferable, however.
