Weddings are not a copy and paste experience. Each couple (and their guests) are extremely unique. You all have different views, opinions, and styles. Because of this, I spend a ridiculous amount of time getting to know you on a personal level. The experiences we share together are real and I vibe off your collective energy. You two are so unique and I make sure to blend in and capture that authentically! But overall, I'd describe my editing style as light and airy, timeless, and pretty true to color. I focus on getting skin tones right and making you not look washed out or like an Oompa Loompa!

I believe what sets me apart from other photographers is my ability to get to know my couples in such an intimate way in a short amount of time, make them comfortable, and bring out something in themselves they never imagined. I LIVE for the first time I show them behind the camera sneak peek. I love watching eyes light up in disbelief it is them on the other side of the camera. I'll call myself a chameleon for blending into any/all atmospheres with ease.

Karissa Russ & Co. were the perfect photographers for our wedding day. From the moment we connected, their communication style of text, call, and email was incredibly responsive and helpful. Their work is truly amazing - Karissa is a local photographer which was perfect for us as out-of-town newlyweds, and she came up with such fresh and adorable style ideas. She took us to different locations to capture unique photos that really reflect the special day. Karissa is simply the best - she is so sweet, kind, funny, and talented. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer, and I'm so excited to see our final photos. Great communication, fun ideas, and just simply the best. I highly recommend Karissa Russ & Co. for any couple's wedding day!

She did an amazing job shooting our couples session and then our reception afterward - we absolutely love all of the photos! Not only was Karissa super friendly and professional, but she completly captured the vibe that we wanted! Our photos turned out so beautiful and we cannot recommend Karissa enough!

Karissa was everything we dared hope for in a photographer and MORE! She was down to earth, fun, and extremely knowledgeable about weddings. She was beyond patient with us as we made a million changes to our COVID wedding and she was always down to talk about details (even things NOT related to photos). She felt like a good friend by the time everything was said and done. Not to mention her photos are gorgeous!!! They are clear, crisp, colorful, and bright. We can't stop looking through our photos and reliving the day through her art. We're so thankful for her services and can't wait to do family photo sessions with her in the future!
