“Amazing wedding venue with options for all weather & gorg photo ops. They’ve thought of everything! We used the chapel (added drapery to avoid backlit photos) for ceremony. It ended up being a little too hot for both ceremony and cocktail hour and everybody said they couldn’t believe chapel that was our plan B and looking back i’m so glad we did it! Cocktail hour outside was perfect and reception was a blast. Def get a partial planner since it’s not an all inclusive venue - you / your planner do need to set up catering, rentals, floral, and other decor vendors so having a partial planner (Cassie -Heavenly Day) helped make our planning and wedding weekend amazing. Make sure your planner and photog has worked at Ma Maison before so they know all the layouts/best photo spots! Loved that Ma Maison sent payment reminders and accepted online payment. Their in house rentals for dance floor, uplighting, cross, and stage made those rentals super easy! Had so much fun climbing bell tower and ringing bell to bring guests inside for din/dancing. Karen (owner) thought thru all the big moments and made sure a grand entrance / door / walk way for all of them! Made the day so fun and special. We added some white drapery, white tablecloths, white stage covers, and white dance floor to brighten up reception space and thought made a huge diff! Looked way less rustic and more bright ballroom. Only minor note on venue - Our wedding was end of october and grass was still a pretty dry from summer. Would be nice if Ma Maison watered the grass a bit more to keep more green during hot season. Ultimately that had zero impact on our amazing weekend /experience but if you’re booking a wedding during aug - oct know that it may be drier grass.”

The Resort at Fredericksburg
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Fredericksburg, TX
  • Up to 550 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $10,000

There's a particular kind of quiet you only find on a Hill Country ranch at golden hour — live oaks throwing long shadows, the Pedernales River catching the last light, the kind of view that makes people stop mid-sentence. That's the backdrop we start every wedding with at The Resort At Fredericksburg, featuring The Edge. We built this place to do something most venues can't: flex. Planning an intimate gathering of 40 close friends, or a 400-person celebration that takes over the whole property? Both work here, because we're not a single room you're forced to make fit — we're 12,000 square feet of indoor space, generous covered patios, and five acres of ranch and riverfront to move between. Say your vows overlooking the water, walk guests to cocktail hour on the patio as the sun drops, then bring everyone inside (or keep them under the stars) for a reception that actually feels like your wedding, not a template.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Provides a dedicated team on-site
  • Provides lighting and sound

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No free parking
  • Best for events with big guest lists
“The Resort at Fredericksburg was the perfect choice for our wedding day. From our first conversation through the final details, their team stayed courteous and responsive, which kept us relaxed throughout the planning process. The venue itself is absolutely stunning with plenty of space for all our guests to move around and celebrate comfortably. We loved how the beautiful grounds gave us options for photos and different areas to enjoy. We're already planning to return for our anniversaries and would absolutely recommend this resort to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding location.”

Canyonwood Ridge
Rating: 4.9 (7 reviews)
Dripping Springs, TX
  • Up to 300 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $5,000

Canyonwood Ridge is a Hill Country Wedding and Events venue in the Austin area, located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Austin in the "Wedding Capital of Texas" of Dripping Springs. The 12,000 square foot venue sits on a ridge top wrapped in oak trees with scenic hill country views and was designed specifically for weddings. The outdoor ceremony site, as well as the indoor Chapel, offer planning flexibility and picturesque backdrops for a wedding of up to 300. The Chapel enables an indoor ceremony to protect against the unpredictable weather in central Texas, and is adjacent to our large Reception Hall, in order to provide a seamless transition from ceremony to reception. Canyonwood Ridge is unique and romantic with its dramatic views and Hill Country elegance, but maintains a balance of simplicity and flexibility for couples to plan their perfect day.

“Canyonwood Ridge is an absolutely perfect venue. The hill country views are amazing, the venue is stunning, and the people are so easy to work with. The venue is perfectly set up and it makes any "Plan B" seem more like a "Plan A". The grounds around the venue are kept immaculate year around. We toured the venue in December and got married in May and the grounds at the venue were just as pretty in December as they were in May. The staff puts a lot of care and attention into ensuring the venue is beautiful both inside and outside. I would recommend Canyonwood Ridge to anyone looking for a hill country wedding venue.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Villa at the Vineyard. The space and grounds are gorgeous and Amanda, the venue director, was fantastic to work with. I can't say enough good things about her or the venue! The space itself is beautiful. Even though florals weren't a large part of our budget, I loved the minimal look of the choices we made in the big, beautiful reception hall! The vineyard outside was stunning and made a fantastic photo backdrop. The getting ready areas were comfortable, well-equipped, and well-lit, so we had a great time getting ready with our friends beforehand (and all the getting ready photos in that area were beautiful too). Even the drive out from Austin was beautiful and easy, which was nice for our out of town guests. I especially appreciated the flow encouraged by the event space's layout, with the ceremony area next to the patio where we had our cocktail hour and the dramatic staircase leading to the reception hall. None of the spaces had to be turned over to serve double-duty, which made setup easy and kept our guests flowing between spaces that felt natural. Also, just to rave a little bit -- Amanda was an absolute lifesaver when we had trouble with our original venue, mere months before our wedding date. Amanda and our planner worked magic to make it possible for us to make a smooth last-minute switch to Villa at the Vineyard. Making that change brought our joy back and transformed our event! I'm thankful that the stars aligned so that the space happened to be free on our date (a Thursday) and that Amanda was so on top of things and easy to work with. Between Amanda and our wedding planner, working with Villa at the Vineyard was absolutely effortless. After our experience with the original venue, believe me when I say -- that's not something I take for granted at ALL. While the space itself is new, it comes with Amanda's deep expertise in managing wedding venues and familiarity with local wedding resources, and I consider that a tremendous perk. I loved having our wedding at Villa at the Vineyard and I would choose it again in a heartbeat!”

About wedding venues in Bluffton, TX

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Cisco's Salsa Company near Tomball has built a reputation for their award-winning Mexican cuisine that adds authentic flavors to your celebration. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.

What Wedding Expenses Should You Budget for in Texas?
