“Our event went absolutely flawlessly with Billy and Jason at the helm. He was not only our DJ, but our lighting guy, pyrotechnics (with the cold sparks), MC, and day-of coordinator. I mean… Can you really ask for more? If we would have hired different vendors for all of those roles we’d have pay 4x the price. So for their Diamond package it was an absolute steal. Pricing aside, they absolutely slayed the dance floor and Billy was hysterical with jokes and fun games throughout the evening. Why are you even still reading? You should have already booked them!!”

“We absolutely loved working with The Hook Club. Our amazing planner, Greenhouse Events, recommended THC, and we were sold immediately after meeting with Dan. He is super relaxed, nice, and so knowledgable. Dan and THC team made planning super easy for us. They took time to hear about our hopes and helped recommend different band sizes for us. We hadn’t heard of a DJ band before, but loved the idea of some live music with the versatility to play all sorts of music, but our venue wasn’t very big and we also didn’t want to break the bank and hire a huge band. We chose the 4 piece DJ band with singer, sax, drums, and DJ. We knew we LOVED the sax, so we also had the sax play for cocktail hour (shout out to Elijah, who was amazing), and it was one of the best parts of the night. For planning music, they sent out a very detailed and thorough spreadsheet with more songs than one could imagine, and we could rate ones we liked the most, choose ones we definitely wanted or didn't, and choose specific songs for important moments. We met a couple times to review music choices as well. One of our biggest fears with a DJ was that they'd talk too much and be a little annoying, but Dan did a great job as MC, and was very low-key like we asked but announced important moments clearly. Dan and all the musicians had such great energy and got everyone on the dance floor. Our vocalist, Christen, was also amazing — her voice was spectacular, and she was such an amazing performer and got everyone involved in the music and dancing. So many people told us how much they loved the music and the energy, and had never heard of a DJ band but thought it was an amazing concept and the addition of live music over tracks added extra excitement and fun. THC also helped out with lighting (uplights and dance lights), and worked with our fantastic planner and the venue to help us decide the best setup. Ultimately, we loved working with THC. Their DJ-band setup is unique and adds so much variety to your music while allowing for some of the energy that comes from live performers. We danced the night away and had an absolute blast. 100% would recommend THC to anyone!”

Then, a friend of mine posted a story at a party where Tyler was DJing/playing the sax, and right away I knew he was the missing piece. I've attended parties with a sax player before, but NEVER like this and never one who does BOTH the DJing AND the sax! From the moment I reached out, Tyler was incredible. He followed up quickly and was great with all communications - we hopped on a call and to go over my theme and ideas, and he was so receptive and amazing with adding in things to help take my existing ideas to the next level. He even helped with the floor plan suggestions to help ensure my goal of "everyone being on the dance floor with me all night" would be more achievable - and omg am I glad I listened. Additionally, he suggested extending the party 1 hour, and thankfully we did because my initial timing guess was way off. Bottom line - trust him, HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. At the same time, he was never pushy and I never felt like I HAD to go with his ideas, but again, so glad I did. On the night of the party, from start to finish Tyler and his team were flawless. He made sure to play all of my "must play" songs, and read the vibes of the room perfectly - I've truly never seen some of my guests dance this much EVER. The amount of people who came up to me that night and have texted and called me since to tell me how epic Tyler and his team were is not surprising in the least. Multiple guests described it as the "best party they've ever been to" and said they "haven't danced that much since college" (and let's just say, it's been at least 15-20 years since then for all of us). One of my friends even booked him on the spot for her upcoming birthday! I could truly go on and on, but I will just end with this - DON'T THINK TWICE, DON'T BOTHER LOOKING ELSEWHERE, BOOK TYLER. You will NOT regret it! Thanks Tyler and team for the most epic night of my life!!! (also, I wish I could upload videos here because photos don't do any justice!!!)”

“Keith was the perfect DJ. Honestly! There is nothing that we would change about our wedding night, it was truly perfect. Keith is a class act professional who makes no compromise between quality and affordability. He values his clients and offers extraordinary service at an affordable price. I went in with high (but reasonable) expectations for our wedding night, and he definitely delivered above and beyond!! We had read other reviews of weddings that Keith had DJ’d where the clients were musicians and they had curated a specific type of music they wanted throughout the night, and he nailed it. I consider myself a little bit of an audiophile, so I listen to a wide range of music, and I can also attest to just how amazing Keith’s music selection was! Part of a DJ’s job is to get you excited to go out on the dance floor, and we were already excited before the dancing began, because we just knew Keith was going to kill it (spoiler alert: he did!). He even mixed together multiple songs at once and it was amazing! Keith kept the atmosphere alive all night and there was never a dead moment. Most of the people were up and dancing, even people who have never been willing to dance before! It takes a skilled DJ to do that. It was electric. We had had a negative experience with another DJ company that we spoke to before we decided to look to Nocturnal Cafe, but just from the first conversation with Keith we knew he was our DJ. Keith was incredibly respectful to us, he was patient and understanding throughout the whole process, and he worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were going to have the best night of our lives. His process with his clients is great and made us feel very comfortable. He does a great job of avoiding the typical eye-roll cheesy songs (unless you request it, of course) and he picks songs that suit well for what you’re looking for. We gave him some songs/artists/genres we would like to hear (and some to songs to avoid) but we ultimately wanted to just give him an idea of what we were thinking and for him to use it as a guide more than a ‘must’. We gave him creative freedom to just let him work his magic and boy, was it magic that came out of those speakers!”

“From the moment the dance floor opened, Dominic brought the most incredible energy. Our crowd was a mix of Jewish cousins who only want hora-level chaos and my husband’s chill Pacific Northwest friends who pretend they “don’t dance,” and somehow Dominic had EVERYONE out there the entire night. The atmosphere was pure joy – big smiles, sweaty hugs, and so much laughing. He read the room perfectly, mixing in all the Jewish classics we asked for (the hora was legitimately epic – chairs in the air, zero injuries!) with current hits and some surprising throwbacks that kept the vibe fun and inclusive. I still have friends texting me asking for his playlist. Working with Dominic leading up to the wedding was an absolute breeze. I’m a planner by nature (hi, Rebecca here, nice to meet you), and he was so responsive – emails answered within hours, always kind and patient even when I sent him a million little updates. He hopped on a quick Zoom with us to go over pronunciation of names (he nailed the Hebrew ones without me even asking) and made sure every detail felt personal. Zero stress, which is basically a miracle in wedding planning. On the day-of, he showed up early, dressed sharp, and was just the nicest human – checking in with me and my mom, making sure my 92-year-old bubbe had her favorite Frank Sinatra song queued up, and handling a last-minute request from my brother with a smile. “Hiring Josh was a no-brainer. As a die-hard music lover (and an unapologetically picky one), finding a DJ who would actually listen to what my husband and I wanted for our wedding felt like a challenge. I gave him a very specific "do not play" list and a handful of "must plays," and not only did he execute it flawlessly—he live mixed and multiple times I found myself running up to him screaming YES, YESSSS. I may or may not have threatened, "If you play the Cha Cha Slide, you're fired," and he took it very seriously. All jokes aside, we danced til 3 am, and he worked within our budget to create an elevated audio experience that we and our guests absolutely loved. My only regret?
