From the initial consultation to the wedding day itself, DJ Neema was dedication to making the musical experience authentic and meaningful. Initially, we interviewed two DJs and DJ Neema stood out with his impeccable mix that seamlessly blended our eclectic music tastes, from Houston rap to Bollywood hits. On the wedding day, he worked his magic, keeping the dance floor alive the entire time — keep in mind that this was a daytime and a completely dry wedding! His ability to read the crowd and curate the perfect vibe for the event was truly impressive. When it started sprinkling, neither our guests nor DJ Neema wanted to stop so with the help from some friends, they constructed a cover for DJ Neema’s set up with a table cloth and dry cleaning plastic and kept the party going (see pic)! From booking all the way through wedding day, he was nothing but responsive, respectful and a pleasure to work with. As for the reception, they made it what it was! I think what is incredible about them is they entertain everyone (not only those dancing on the dance floor) because every song is a TRUE performance. I am not lying when i say this, every time I have seen someone that attended my wedding, every one of them (young or old) comment on how great the band was. FYI I'm three months out from my wedding, so I've seen a lot of my guests since then. They played the right music while everyone was eating and visiting and knew exactly how to transition to dance floor time by doing a conga line. They let my husband and I get on stage and sing which we will remember and cherish forever. They came out into the crowd and let out our guest sing. They came out in the crown and danced with us! “We were beyond impressed with Mark! Not only is he a fantastic DJ, but he's a skilled pianist, singer, emcee, and overall entertainer. Our guests loved him and kept bringing up how amazing he was even months after our wedding . He was recommended by a friend who'd attended a wedding where he played and we similarly have shouted his praises! We hired Mark for our wedding reception. We had a fantastic interview with him where he got a feel for what we liked, our story, and our vibe as a couple. We had a long "do not play" list which might have limited a basic wedding DJ, but not Mark. He went off of our favorite songs, artists, and genres and kept our guests on the dance floor. My only "complaint" is that the songs were so good that I kept delaying the cake cutting (not a big deal at all) because I didn't want to leave the dance floor! He is incredibly engaging and professional. His emceeing was spot-on: his timing was perfect, he kept things organized, and he took care to get all the names and pronunciations correct (which seems like a little thing, but I've seen it go wrong so many times and you don't want that!). He brought all his equipment, so we didn't have to worry about anything. The mics and sound were the perfect volume for speeches etc. and there were zero technical issues. Absolutely seamless. Our budget for a DJ was a few hundred less than what we paid for Mark, but the difference in cost was worth it many times over for having a DJ of his caliber plus the added treat of live music. Honestly, what we paid was a bargain and I'm beyond glad and relieved we went with Mark rather than hunting for a cheap DJ/experience (especially after attending so many weddings lately and seeing the wide range in what you can get). Mark sang and played piano during dinner, which was really nice. While people could talk and enjoy their food, some of the singing was so good I had to stop and listen at times! He has runs for days (some swooning during 'Tennessee Whiskey') and Grandma loved that he did some Sinatra. Overall, not only was he a reliable, timely, communicative vendor, but he helped make our wedding the best night of our lives with his musicianship. Things couldn't have gone more smoothly. Not only would I hire him again in a heartbeat, I tried to get him for our company holiday party but he was already booked (not surprising given how great he is!). Highly recommend!!! Thanks, Mark!”
