Doug Anthony - Solo Guitar Austin

Doug is solo guitarist with years of experience performing at public venues and for private events. Using the ‘fingerstyle’ method, which is basically a classical technique used to play the melody and accompaniment simultaneously, he plays his own unique arrangements of classic hits in several genres. From artists such as The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Willie Nelson, The Beach Boys, Merle Haggard, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Gipsy Kings and more his song list of over 200 songs has something for everyone.

I pride myself in my professionalism. Communication and punctuality are important to me because I know they are important to my clients and colleagues so I always arrive on time and respond to emails and phone calls as soon as I am able. I have played just about every kind of music with just about every kind of band. For the past 15 years I have been focusing on solo guitar for private events and during that time I have had the chance to create a great rapport with many Austin area venues, event planners and wedding officiants.​ It's always nice to show up at an event and see a familiar face.
