PQ Farm Flowers creates romantic, whimsical, and lush designs, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and locally grown, seasonal flowers. My designs often have a natural, garden-style feel that is free-flowing and organic. I aim for designs that look "gathered from nature, not overly structured." I was so grateful to have found Jen while going through our flower-picking-process. We got a quote for real flowers to start and it was way out of our budget. When we started looking for 'fake' flowers, I knew I wanted them to look as real as possible. I must have looked at 10 different vendors across CT and MA, and as soon as I saw Wood & Word Blooms website I was sold! Her bouquets are one of a kind, each and every piece was perfect for our wedding. She was so supportive and helpful in the color picking process, I changed my mind a few times but she never batted an eye. She got us to the finish line and we couldn't be happier. If you're on the fence, just go with Jen!

Jakkelyn Iris Flowers

5.0

  • Starts at $7,500
  • Serves Amston, CT

I'm a floral designer taking a kind—not just nice—New England approach: seasonally driven, thoughtful, and attuned to the moment. With support from my small team, we blend local blooms and curated market finds to create florals that are refined, textured, and personal. We embrace trends when they feel right but prioritize timeless designs you’ll love for years. We thrive with clients who value trust and collaboration—together, we bring your vision to life with care and creativity. I’m honest and thoughtful about guiding you to make the most of your flower budget—always with clarity and intention.

The second I stumbled upon Jakki’s work, I knew I had to work with her. I even joked that we’d have to change our wedding date if she wasn’t available that weekend! From our very first call, I was blown away by how deeply she understood our vision. Honestly, even better than we could articulate it ourselves. She walked us through what was in season and had such an incredible eye for detail. It was such a relief to work with someone we trusted so fully. Beyond florals, Jakki even referred us to a few of our other amazing vendors—she became someone whose opinion I truly valued throughout the planning process. When I walked into the venue on our wedding day, I was completely blown away. The flowers felt intentional, organic to the space, and truly elevated the entire atmosphere. It was like stepping into the dream version of our day. Hiring Jakki was hands down one of our favorite wedding decisions. She didn’t just bring our vision to life, she brought it together beyond anything we could have imagined.

BLOOM. Creative Floral & Events

5.0

  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Amston, CT

BLOOM. Creative Floral & Events is a boutique floral and event design studio located in Northeast, CT, serving counties in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We create seasonal, garden-inspired floral arrangements, using only the freshest flowers and unique blooms and ingredients responsibly sourced from local flower farmers and gardens from all over the world. Drawing inspiration from your ideas, your unique style, and the venue you have chosen, we work closely with you and the team of professionals you have hired to implement your special day to help you achieve, big and small, the wedding of your dreams.

Tammie made our wedding a dream. We love flowers and knew we wanted them to be a showstopper during our big day, and from our very first meeting we knew that Tammie would create organic coastal garden magic for us. After describing our likes and dislikes and reviewing a moodboard with Tammie, she came back with a visual proposal that completely understood the vision we had, and the actual execution was even better than we could have expected. From my beautiful bouquet, to the ceremony arrangements, and the stunner of a floral chandelier, everything was absolutely perfect. However, nothing could really top the reception tables — it was like my Pinterest board come to life. The organic feeling growing arrangements, bud vases, ikebanas, and tapers that complimented our tablecloths were *chefs kiss*. I’m still not over everything! To top it all off, Tammie is so kind, warm, and lovely — she made dreaming up flowers one of the best and most enjoyable parts of this process. Thank you for everything, Tammie!

Farm Couture Flowers

5.0

  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Amston, CT

Farm Couture Flowers is the design studio at Muddy Feet Flower Farm. I grow over 100 varieties of cut flowers from April through November and incorporate them into lush garden-style arrangements and bouquets.

Where to begin? Kristin is an artist. In the age of insane wedding Pinterest boards and over-planning every detail, we gladly handed the floral design and aesthetics over to Kristin. She uses her own flowers from her farm, so she's both local and sustainable, and if you're interested in supporting a small, woman-owned business, this is the way to go. We trusted her direction and expertise and it was the best decision we could have made. When we walked into our venue on the day-of, we were both floored. It was so much better than I could have even imagined; we received so many sincere compliments from guests. Our wedding photographer said he thought they were the best wedding flowers he'd seen. The floral design was original, organic, and creative, and the greenery was gorgeous. If you choose Kristin as your florist, trust her to lead the way. It'll be better than anything you could have imagined!

“For me, Hana is something bigger than just doing wedding flowers. We are part of one of life’s momentous occasions, and to partake in that is extraordinary. It is my way of sharing something beautiful with the world and I am indeed grateful for it.”

The minute we booked our wedding location in Mystic. We knew we wanted Yumiko & the Hana Floral team to do our flowers. We had seen her stuff on Instagram and knew she would knock it out of the park... and boyyyy did they! We wanted our flowers to stand out and when we showed Yumiko a photo of a really cool flower we saw online she immediately took it and ran. The flower ended up being a King Ice Protea... it was the centerpiece of all of the bouquets, our incredible wedding ceremony arch, as well as the table runner for our head table of 50! Everyone was ranting and raving about our flowers at the wedding and still to this day. They were so unique and set the stage for the most perfect day of our lives. Some of our friends even traveled back to Los Angeles with them the day after! We could not be more grateful to the Hana team for everything that they did for us. Not to mention, we planned our wedding from 3,000 miles away and Yumiko and the team were there for us every step of the way. Our flowers are still living on in our gorgeous photos and we could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Team HANA!

Something Borrowed Blooms

4.9

  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Amston, CT

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

Awarded Best of Zola
We rented flowers through Something Borrowed Blooms and went with the Jane collection. Flowers were lower on our tier of priorities, so this worked well for us. It was easy to book, rent, and send them back. The one downside was that they changed what the collection looked like between when I booked the flowers and when I received them, and there was no option to go back to the original. They changed the bridesmaids’ flowers to be more floral, when I chose the Jane collection due to the greenery. As flowers weren’t specifically important to me, this wasn’t that big of a deal, but it didn’t feel great to not be able to get what we originally wanted and paid for. After reaching out to them about this issue, we did get a 50% discount on the bridesmaid flowers.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Amston, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Would highly recommend Flower Moxie! Mother of the bride who can’t keep her houseplants alive decided to take a risk with DIY bridal and bridesmaid bouquets. Could not have been happier. Flowers arrived right on time. I contacted Flower Moxie right away with a question on timing for unboxing. Alexa immediately responded and became our personal flower consultant for the next 4 days. She was professional and encouraging and FUN! I felt much more confident that we could create beautiful bouquets with her assistance. The educational videos on the website are so helpful and informative. I alerted her that just three of my stems arrived broken. Flower Moxie immediately posted a refund to my account so that I could replace those stems if I felt it necessary at a local store. I cannot say enough good things about the whole experience. The bridesmaids and bride created their own bouquets the morning of the venue during hair and makeup. Was really fun for all of them and they were absolutely stunning! Don’t be afraid of DIY. If I could keep these alive and thriving - you can too! Flower Moxie (and Alexa) are great partners for your special day!!

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Kate was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding! Her communication throughout the process was clear, understanding, and attentive, and she was always quick to respond. The quality of her work was truly professional, and the floral design was exactly what I had envisioned for our special day! She was also incredibly flexible, making last-minute changes to our order the month before the wedding without any issues. The setup and overall design was absolutely beautiful - especially our ceremony arch! I would highly recommend Fountainhead Floral Design to any couple looking for a reliable, talented, and customer-focused wedding florist!

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Amston, CT

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
We were so delighted to use The Faux Bouquets for our wedding. We ended up having a family emergency that forced us to downsize the size and budget of the wedding just a few months before the wedding, and the team at TFB were so accommodating and helped us to find a solution that still allowed us to use their flowers in our (modified) ceremony. We were a bit concerned about the flowers getting smushed in shipping, but they arrived looking absolutely STUNNING and with plenty of time before the big day. Even my gardener of a grandma couldn't tell they weren't real flowers! We were so happy with how everything looked on the day, and in pictures they look just as lovely. Can't recommend The Faux Bouquets enough! There's no visual difference compared to real bouquets and they are much more affordable. The last big selling point that I would advise future brides, and I did not really consider this, is that because the flowers don't wilt, we could set the decor out the night before--which is a LIFESAVER to not have to worry about on the special day! Anything that will save you time and stress on the day of the wedding is a big win!

It’s been one month since our wedding and every day I go back to how absolutely beautiful the day was. Liz and her team were the central part of that. With a December winter wedding, many of the traditional floral options were not applicable, but with Liz's guidance, we realized very quickly that just because most flowers may not be in season, doesn't mean that it is still not an absolutely beautiful time of year. Liz and her team effortlessly draped beautiful garland throughout our venue, transformed the central staircase into something out of a storybook, and made a winter arch piece that it still hanging on our front porch as a stunning winter decoration. It was dotted with cinnamon sticks, and ornaments, and dried orange peels in a way that we could never have thought of. It was so creative and magical and made it clear that Liz had seen our vision and expanded on it in such an incredible way. Additionally, when Liz walked in with the bridal bouquets, everyone could not stop admiring and obsessing over them. With the gorgeous variety of blooms and greens, it was truly the most beautiful bouquet I could have imagined. Even more so than the pinterest boards we all obsess over. Lastly, Liz's professionalism was second to none. She made us feel so comfortable and supported throughout the process. She was even able to incorporate pieces of my gown that had been cut off during alterations to add an even more personal, and sparkly(!), touch to the bouquets. I cannot recommend Liz enough. She made my husband and I feel so special and seen during our day, and I hope that you are lucky enough to feel the same way!

Glitzed Events was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding florals. Nicole and her team were incredibly responsive, creative, and attentive to every detail throughout the planning process. She worked closely with me to explore different options and make changes as needed. The morning of the wedding, I asked for a last-minute change to my bouquet and Nicole was so quick and responsive to make the adjustment. If you are looking for a florist in the Rhode Island area, look no further. Ayla did an absolutely amazing job with our wedding florals! Right from the beginning I loved her style and knew she had great instincts and vision. I told her what I was looking for generally, but she brought it to life in ways I never could have imagined. All of our florals were perfect for each space, and she was super helpful in thinking about how to use our budget for maximum impact. So many people commented on how beautiful the florals were and I am so so happy with how it all turned out. Jackie at Petallion Floral was the absolute best choice we could have picked to do the flowers for our wedding. Flowers are very important to both me and my husband since both of our names contain flowers and as a special symbol throughout both our lives before we met and together. From the very beginning, I had a good feeling about Jackie because I could tell she really cared about our vision, even before we had confirmed her services, we had gone back and forth a bunch of times and she offered up some lovely ideas. She was very reachable, flexible and attentive and we had a super helpful meeting in person to go over all our ideas, she stayed longer just to make sure we were all on the same page and she knew what we wanted. She went the extra mile to make sure some specific ethnic flowers we asked for were on the arrangement menu! On our wedding day, she made everything go smoothly and the flowers looked BEAUTIFUL!! We got several compliments about how gorgeous they looked and our ceremony arch looked spectacular, as did my bridal bouquet and our reception table arrangements. We couldn't have asked for a better florist, aside from being a genuinely kind hearted woman and pleasant to work with, she worked with us to stay within our budget and did not gouge us like so many others in the business. Whoever else you are considering for your floral needs, do yourself a favor and pick Jackie. She is the hands down BEST!!!

Working with Naomi for our wedding florals was a DREAM and an exceptional experience from start to finish. We cannot recommend her and her team at Nectar and Vessel highly enough to other couples getting married. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Naomi and her team and giving her complete creative freedom. She took that freedom, and spun floral magic into the most beautifully designed space we have ever seen. Her love for florals, and for creating beautiful moments for others shines in her work - and isn’t that what you want on your wedding day? To be surrounded by love through flowers that all your guests can feel? That’s the magic Naomi brings to weddings that is impossible to replicate. The floral designs and artistry that Naomi and her team created for our day were simply stunning. Beyond being beautiful, they were unique and felt personal to us. It was the talk of the wedding that none of the guests had ever seen a display like the florals at our wedding, and that each tablescape and design felt like a work of art. A few things additional things about working with N&V we’d like to highlight: Design and vision: Naomi not only executed a vision for our wedding florals and design, she shaped it from the very beginning. The proposal powerpoint was a detailed mood board of not only the florals, but the overall vibe and design for the wedding. For the bride or groom, like me, who was overwhelmed with how to make a wedding feel cohesive, personal, and intentionally designed, trust in Naomi to help jump start that process and hire her as one of your early vendors. Flawless logistics and professionalism: Working with N&V was completely stress free because Naomi and her team are true professionals. She was respectful of our budget, had a clear, well-structured contract, and payment through her professional portal was incredibly easy. Everything was delivered, set-up, and cleaned up flawlessly and on-time. Importantly, if there were any issues day-of, we didn’t hear about it or take on any of that stress (though with her careful planning, I bet there weren’t any fires to put out!) While these sound like boring logistics, all of this professional preparation on N&V’s part saved us a ton of time and stress wedding planning. Positivity and good energy: Naomi herself is the warmest and most effusively positive person - that was clear from our very first consultation call with her and was even more true on the day of our wedding. We felt showered in positivity throughout our experience working with her, which is exactly what you want on your big day! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Nectar and Vessel, and specifically, Naomi and her wonderful team. Hire her early, trust her to work her magic and give her all the creative control, and then watch your wedding venue transform. The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!
