TLDR: Fleurisse Design (Willbe) not only beautifully brought our floral vision to life, adding the most important visual touch to our wedding, but was extremely easy to work with when it came to her quick & clear communication, accommodation to our budget & vision, and was both personable & professional. We first found Willbe through Instagram. We were immediately in love with her overall style and aesthetic that is both modern and whimsical. Bonus points that some of the gorgeous arrangements she makes are with blooms from her very own garden. We reached out to her and several other florists. After our initial correspondences and meeting, we ultimately decided to go with Willbe for several reasons (and we felt really good about that decision!): (1) Communication: From the get-go, Willbe was very responsive and has good communication systems in place. We submitted a form via her website, we corresponded over email, and we were able to set up a virtual meeting to chat. (2) Value: Willbe's prices were middle of the road (we got some lower and much higher quotes), and we felt that the product and services she was offering in exchange for the quality and design were well worth it. Additionally, she was willing to work with our budget and desire to have our guests be able to take home the beautiful arrangements! (3) Design: Of course her work is absolutely breathtaking and beautiful!!! My husband and I were planning our wedding from out-of-state from a different time zone, but despite that, Willbe stayed in touch throughout the process, so we were never in the dark. She walked through our floral inspiration pictures with and translated that into what would be executable on her end. In the days leading up to and on the day of, her and her team's professionalism, from asking about the venue layout, arriving well in advance, having everything ready to go, working with the outdoor ceremony elements - wind!, was very reassuring. On the wedding day, the flowers did not disappoint. The bouquets, boutonnieres, floral arch, and various centerpieces were each a piece of art. I'm so glad our photographer captured them, because they were absolutely amazing. When Willbe did the bouquet hand-off to me on the day of, it felt like my Pinterest board come to life (iykyk!). All the floral pieces invoked spring, soft pastel vibes that were airy, delicate, and breathtaking. She nailed the color palette and vibe perfectly. Some of the flowers (sweet peas) came from her own garden as well. The sweetheart table felt like we were sitting in a garden. We would definitely recommend Fleurisse Design to anyone looking for a wedding florist that excels in both creating beautiful floral pieces. We will cherish the flowers as part of our wedding for years to come! *All photos included in this review were photographed by Danya Chen Photography

Bluma: The Artful Botanic

5.0

  • Starts at $1,200
  • Serves Albany, CA

I started Bluma: The Artful Botanic in the summer of 2013. I was doing flowers for several friends’ weddings when I decided to take the plunge and open a small business. Bluma is a delight and an incredible learning experience. I love it most because it combines two of my passions, flowers and art. Bluma: The Artful Botanic is based in Berkeley, CA. I design for weddings, anniversaries, memorials, bnai mitzvot, birthday parties, fundraisers, and other special events. I am open to inquiries of all kinds.

Bluma: The Artful Botanic was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding flowers. From the moment we connected, the team was incredibly helpful, kind, and bubbly in their communication style. They took the time to understand our vision and provided thoughtful suggestions that resulted in truly fresh, inspiring, and beautiful floral arrangements. I was living in NJ during the time of wedding planning, and they even texted me about what flowers were in season and were transparent with the pricing. Bluma's attention to detail and passion for their craft shone through in every aspect of their work, and they helped make our special day even more beautiful. I would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a top-notch wedding florist.

Red Bud Florals

  • Starts at $500
  • Serves Albany, CA

With a horticulture and garden design background, Tami Etziony brings an organic style that incorporates complex textures and flowing lines. She uses scents and hues from flowers and foliage as an art medium. Designs are sourced from local and organic growers wherever possible.

Red Bud Florals was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication was prompt, caring, and responsive throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work was truly unique, environmentally conscious, and they were open to all of our ideas. We had a special request to incorporate the bounty of California into our floral arrangements, and were delighted to discover that they had included grapes in the centerpieces - a lovely touch we didn't realize until the next day. Tami also helped bring my very specific vision for our chuppah to life, and was amenable to a few idea changes, providing great substitutions for flowers that would have been out of season or unable to last the whole day. We are thrilled with the beautiful and personalized florals that Red Bud Florals created for our wedding day. Images are from Misti Layne Photography, mistilayne.com

Pocketful Of Posies

5.0

  • Starts at $2,000

Welcome. Ever since I can remember I have loved flowers. I have been arranging flowers since 2000 and have created arrangements for weddings, church events, birthday parties, and anniversary celebrations. Being an Event Florist gives me the opportunity to help with life's most important celebrations. To make your day individually unique is something I will help bring to life for any and all of your special events. I pride myself on good service and making sure my clients get what they need to make their day special.

Dwuna created a beautiful bouquet and pocket square for our small wedding! She was communicative and clear. When I didn't have an exact idea of what I wanted but gave a few examples of what I like, she created a gorgeous bouquet that fit the vibe of our wedding perfectly, at an affordable price! She also accommodated some changes I made along the way, such as ribbon color and swapping the boutonniere for a pocket square. Pickup went smoothly, and she packaged the bouquet in a smart paper vase with water, which made transport super easy as well.

Flowers are the most ephemeral, yet most memorable, elements of a wedding. Their presence transforms the venue and creates a beautiful and fitting ambiance for that special day. I enjoy using unusual textures and often incorporate innovative and exciting elements in my designs. Since I work exclusively on events, I can devote my time to creating a truly remarkable event that is uniquely yours.

Eunice was so easy to work with! I had changed my bouquet design and added/removed pieces several times, and she was extremely flexible. Her pricing is very fair and she took my inspo photos and executed my vision perfectly. She really helped me achieve my dream wedding and can't thank her enough!

In the heart of the Bay Area, where vibrant sunflowers once painted the landscape, Ada Wong's enchantment with flowers began. The Faux Bouquets

5.0

  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Albany, CA

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
I was so impressed with The Faux Bouquets for our wedding! Brittany, the owner, was incredibly quick to respond, thorough in her communication, and had such a friendly and fun personality. She really went above and beyond to make sure we got the perfect faux floral arrangements for our big day. The quality of their work is truly unique and you can tell they are so passionate about what they do. We were able to take advantage of a special deal on the flowers I wanted, and they even upgraded some of the pieces for free! Compared to other faux floral companies in the area, we were able to get much more for our money. I'm so glad I took the time for the 15 minute consultation with Brittany - it was so helpful to see the items at scale and she customized our order perfectly. Our wedding is not until 2027 but we got them early and I LOVE them. I also like that the suites aren’t cookie cutter so each of my bridesmaids have their own style.

My husband and I could not dream of having entrusted anyone other than Autumn with our wedding florals. From her professionalism down to her attention to detail, there was not a single step of the planning process that we were not completely blown away by Autumn and her work! During the early phases of our wedding planning process, we had received 6 different floral proposals from various florists local to the Bay Area. Autumn's proposal blew every other company's out of the water! Coming in at 20 pages, her proposal outlined our color pallet and inspo photos for the conceptual design, the exact flowers (with pictures) she chose based on our vision, the exact vessels, candles, and candle holders she had in mind, and pricing for each bouquet, boutonniere, and arrangement. Shortly after receiving her proposal, and prior to making our final decision on florist, I flew into San Fran on a last-minute work trip. I reached out to her literally as I was touching down at SFO to see if she was available to meet at our venue to go over design and vision. Autumn immediately dropped everything and met me on site within an hour! That alone earned our business - she was committed to us and our vision from the very beginning. Throughout the planning process, Autumn ensured my husband I stayed involved in the decision making process, regularly sending options for different vessels, candles, candle holders, ribbon selections, and design preferences. On the week of the wedding, she asked if I would like updates as she arranged our florals to which I said OF COURSE! Daily she sent me the sweetest photos and videos of the bouquets, aisle arch, etc. which was the shining light pulling me through an incredibly stressful and busy final week of planning/travel! We truly cannot speak highly enough about Autumn, her amazing work, her attention to detail, and professionalism throughout the entire process! Our wedding day went off without a hitch and it was SO FUN seeing her on the day of our wedding after 2 years of planning together! If you're on the fence with who to choose as your florist, make no mistake, Autumn is the absolute BEST and will ensure your vision comes to life down to every last detail!

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!

Fan was an absolute joy to work with! If you’ve stumbled upon her page, take this as your sign: you’ve found your florist. She was one of my favorite vendors to work with leading up to and on the big day. Fan was willing to work with me within my budget and make my dream come to life. Her attention to detail is unmatched. I didn’t have a planner and was juggling countless little things, but with Fan, I felt completely at ease. She anticipated details I never would have thought of like timing the placement of eucalyptus runners so they wouldn’t burn in the sun, which made all the difference. She was also incredibly patient as we decided on my bouquet. I was very particular, and she went above and beyond, even coordinating with three different vendors to get it perfect. The end result was stunning, and I received endless compliments on the flowers all night long. Her pricing is also competitive and probably the best for the level of quality she delivers. She’s worth it, trust me.

I know this is not wedding day related but I thought this would give insight to the type of person Emma is. As a Christmas gift to my grandmother, I did a flower subscription. Not only did she make the most beautiful floral I have ever seen, she came inside to put the arrangement exactly where my grandmother wanted them and chatted with her for a bit. Most people would just leave them at the door and that’s it. Emma cares about her clients and is a kind soul, it reflects in her work.

Where do I even begin with Andrea? Calling her a florist feels like such an understatement—she is truly an artist. Not only is she incredibly sweet and thoughtful, but her vision, creativity, and attention to detail are absolutely unmatched. When I started planning my wedding, I had a few color palettes and a Pinterest board for inspiration, but I wasn’t set on specific flowers. What I wanted was a romantic, ethereal, gardenesque feel with editorial and Spanish-inspired elements. Andrea was the one who helped me bring that dream to life—and honestly, helped me discover my overall wedding theme in the first place. She completely understood the vibe and went above and beyond to design something magical. I gave Andrea the freedom to lead creatively, and she blew me away. She was incredibly communicative—checking in with color palette updates, floral ideas, and even creating sample arrangements (which I’ve learned is a rarity in the wedding world!). She was so generous with her time and insight—even offering design suggestions for things like napkins and linens, which she absolutely nailed. On the day of the wedding, Andrea showed up five hours early just to make sure everything was perfect. The amount of care, effort, and artistry she put into our day was unbelievable. Guests couldn’t stop raving about the florals—everyone was stunned. Andrea’s work truly transformed our space and created the romantic, editorial ambiance I had only dreamed of. If I could give her a hundred stars, I would. She was hands down my favorite vendor of the entire wedding process, and to be honest, I think she should be charging way more for the level of expertise and love she brings to her work. I cannot recommend her enough.
