We chose Hilton Hawaiian Village because it was a very beautiful premises and the middle ground in the spectrum of our venue choices. Simply due to factors of budget and a size of around 80 guests, building up a garden to spec from scratch or a simple restaurant wouldn't have worked for us. Working with HHV and specifically Alma Hamamoto made it super easy. We had a destination wedding coming from California and she made it super easy to plan because she knew all the right thorough questions to ask as we were sharing our vision. Even when we didn't have much of an idea, Alma was very clear about what HHV could offer. We visited once in the middle of planning and a second time the week of the wedding to clarify all the details and we knew we were in very good hands. All the staff and vendors that HHV partner with like Cover2Cover are wonderful and go the extra mile. Even when there were strikes on premises and we couldn't use the original beachfront patio we wanted for the reception, all the staff were alert and ready with a full backup plan which speaks to their profound professionalism. They were also generous to help with costs and include extra decor. You have to expect dynamic situations when planning your wedding and I'm grateful the entire team is also flexible. So we were able to have a perfect Hawaiian wedding by following a timeline and weekly checklist, having a few family and church friends help out coordinating, and working with Alma and the wonderful team there at HHV.

They're at the heart of what we do, the physical embodiment of our mission, that which keeps us rooted in the original dream.

We got married at Loulu Palm on September 14th 2024 and it was everything we dreamed of...and then some! From the first moment we stepped foot on Loulu we knew it was the one for us. But that was just the beginning- because shortly after meeting Nickie, we then met with Ashley (the best wedding coordinator on planet earth). Again, after just a couple minutes of chatting with her, we knew she was such a perfect fit for us and felt like we had already known her for years. So it wasn't even a question for us- but if it is for you- my advice would be to just do it. Without Ashley, our special day would not have even come close to how perfect everything was. Not to mention all the weeks and months leading up to it- I love how she always kept it real with us throughout the entire process (with timelines, vendor recommendations, design, layout, cost, etc), but with the most warmth and grace one could possibly have. Ashley is now our dear friend and we cannot wait to come back to visit one of our favorite places. 10/5 stars on both Ashley and Nickie and Loulu Palms!!!!

Sunset Ranch Hawaii

5.0

Haleiwa, HI
  • Up to 100 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $30,200

Located on the North Shore of Oahu, Sunset Ranch is one the most exclusive private estates in Hawaii. The 30-acre property has panoramic ocean and mountain views of the entire northwest side of the island, and is home to six event venues, avocado and lychee orchards, an aquaculture site, two apiaries, a butterfly house, botanical gardens, and a family of horses. Our team understands that every couple has a vision for their special day. With this in mind, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to design and create an event tailored just for you. Our package offerings include what we have identified as the 'ten core elements' to hosting a successful event at Sunset Ranch. Our package offerings are flexible: (1) we finalize invoicing to your head count, (2) we customize packages to your vision and budget, and (3) we provide full category credits. We are grateful for your interest, and we would be honored to serve you and make your day spectacular!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Full catering menu to choose from
  • Wheelchair accessible

Venue considerations

  • Best for events with big guest lists
  • Not for you if you don't want a rustic vibe
  • No on-premises lodging options
Sunset Ranch exceeded all our expectations! Not only do they include so much in their package, they are willing to work with you on your vision for your wedding day. They provide, florals, rentals, catering, desserts, bar and more! This made the planning process so much easier on my end because I didn't have to hunt for vendors and they also provide a list of preferred vendors if i needed help finding some. We loved that we didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day. There was little to no questions on last minute decisions. The day went so smoothly and the team took care of literally everything. Alia was a God-sent. We worked with her from start to finish. She communicated in such a timely and kind manner. Was transparent with logistics, timeline, and when our ideas got to crazy she offered cheaper alternatives. We were pretty stress free throughout my whole wedding planning process because they made everything so easy. They communicated with our other vendors on timeline and any changes. They help build our timeline. When we had any last minute additions even on the week of our wedding they made it happen! We would choose this venue over and over again. The property was secluded which we loved because a lot of the venues we visited in Oahu you can be open to the public. The ferns gardens, where we had our ceremony, was breath taking. It's a plus there's shade for your guests! We loved that everything is a short skip away from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception which is easy for your wedding party and guests. The reception at Charlie's Pond was covered by a beautiful white tent with a view of the field overlooking the ocean cliff. All in all, if you want an A team, efficiency during planning, good communication, timely communication, a kind planner, beautiful views, and the ease of a one-stop shop but still customizable to you and your partner, Sunset Ranch is the best choice.

Waialua, HI

  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $2,500

Our exclusive oceanfront polo field is located on Oahu’s beautiful North Shore, between the majestic Waianae mountain range and clear waters of the Pacific Ocean, creating the ideal blend of natural beauty and high-class style for your special occasion.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Rustic charm with elegance
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Venue is completely outdoors

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
  • Lighting and sound are not included
We had our wedding for 50 guests at the Hawaii Polo Club and had the most amazing time. It was just what we wanted - a more low key, casual wedding with a beautiful view. Unfortunately, on our wedding day it rained a lot so we weren't able to see the mountains in the background and the beach was quite gloomy but it was still a great time. We were told the rainy season would be over but it was unusual for May Sugako was very responsive and easy to work with. She also gave us a list of recommended vendor which made organizing the wedding so much easier.
