About this venue

The Village of Industry & Art, the former home of the University of the Arts on South Broad Street, opens its Great Hall to weddings. For nearly two centuries, the block at Broad and Pine has been where Philadelphians learned to make things: first at the Pennsylvania Institution for the Deaf, then the art school that became the University of the Arts. Scout, the developer behind Bok, reopened the building as the Village of Industry & Art. Now couples can marry at the center of it. Ceremonies and dinners take place in the Great Hall, a former open-air courtyard enclosed under a glass roof. Cocktail hour moves through the Broad St lobby gallery and the adjoining Screening Room. In April, October-November, couples can add a garden courtyard for cocktail hour. Village of Industry & Art is a center for creativity, craft, and community where artists, makers, and small businesses create and collaborate in a prominent historical building in Philadelphia.
