About this venue
This 5000 square-foot modern industrial space nestled in the heart of historic Scott’s Addition is a wedding venue like no other. From jungle and western inspired getting ready rooms to floor-to-ceiling doors and windows, the workshop is a space created for dreamers, darers, and definers. No two love stories are the same, and your celebration of love shouldn’t be either! Our unique wedding packages provide each couple with a rare opportunity to pick and choose all of the elements of their special day without many of the constraints of traditional wedding venues. Most importantly, we believe love is love and all are welcome to celebrate with us. Trust the workshop to ensure your dream wedding will take route and flourish in our space!

Amazing venue and owner
Kerith was an absolute dream to work with! From the very beginning, she put her heart into every detail, and it truly showed in how magical our wedding day turned out. Everything was filled with love, beauty, and warmth. The getting-ready rooms were perfect for both of us, setting the tone for such a special day. And the reception… it felt like stepping into a fairytale! My guests and I were completely in awe—it was like being at a grand ball. I’ll forever be grateful for the love and care Kerith poured into making our day unforgettable.
A Smart Choice for Stylish, Budget-Friendly Events
The Workshop was everything I hoped for in a wedding venue — a true blank canvas that allowed me to bring my personal style to life. Kerith was incredibly helpful from the start, clearly outlining what was already available in the space (tables, linens, chairs, hurricanes, and more) and what could be customized. I chose to rent and bring in a few items of my own to complete the look I envisioned, and Kerith was supportive every step of the way — even helping with some of the custom touches herself. What really sets The Workshop apart is its flexibility. Weddings aren’t one-size-fits-all, and having access to a variety of décor options already on-site made it so much easier to create a celebration that felt uniquely ours. Even better — so many of these items were included in the rental, which helped us stay within budget without sacrificing style. Kerith is clearly building something special: a community-centered space where people can celebrate life’s biggest moments without breaking the bank. In a world where weddings can quickly become overwhelming and expensive, it’s refreshing to see a venue that encourages sharing and sustainability. I truly believe more brides should be talking about spaces like this. The Workshop isn’t just a venue; it’s part of a movement to make beautiful events more accessible for everyone.
Wedding Venue
My husband and I were so very lucky to have booked The Workshop by T&D as our wedding venue. It was the first and only place we looked at. I truly cannot say enough good things about it. Gorgeous on the inside and out. The venue itself is huge! It has everything you could possibly ever need. Kerith has done a wonderful job of putting together such a beautiful space not only for weddings but for other events as well. The pricing/packaging is quite reasonable and probably the best in RVA with the option to include a wedding planner/coordinator. DO NOT SKIP OUT ON THIS!!! I cannot say this enough our wedding day went seamlessly thanks our amazing wedding planner/coordinator Emma Wolff with Wolff Weddings & Events LLC. She was with us every single step of the way. From the time we booked the venue in October until the very end of our wedding night and then some. I was in no way stressed out about our wedding because of Emma. She is the best at her job and truly loves what she does. 10/10 stars for this venue and Emma.
Perfect event space!
The Workshop by T&D was a fantastic venue for our event. The staff was very accommodating and easy to work with, ensuring all our needs were met. The large, comfortable space was perfect for our numerous guests, and the venue far exceeded our expectations. Kerith Rae's attention to detail in decorating and setting up the space made it feel truly special, with many attendees commenting that it was like a wedding. The bartenders they recommended were also phenomenal. I highly recommend this event space - they have everything you can imagine to make your special day perfect!
