About this venue

Royal Street Marigny is a restored 1820s Greek Revival mansion in New Orleans' Faubourg Marigny — one block from the French Quarter and steps from Frenchmen Street. Book it and the entire property is yours: 9 private suites ranging from 1-3 bedrooms, elegant galleries, and 3 lush courtyards. Capacity: Up to 50 guests for your celebration; sleeps up to 27 people across 9 suites. Technically 11 suites with 2 combined. What we are: First and foremost, your place to stay and celebrate. The whole mansion is exclusively yours — your wedding party and loved ones get ready, stay, and celebrate together under one historic roof. The rest: We're primarily your lodging and venue space — we don't run catering or florals in-house — but we're flexible and happy to help connect you with trusted local vendors and coordinators for flowers, drinks, catering, and day-of planning. Outside coordinators are always welcome. Ideal for intimate weddings, elopements, vow renewals, and celebration weekends.

The perfect place for a girl's trip to NOLA!

We booked The Mansion on Royal for a girls' trip and it exceeded every expectation. The photos don't do it justice — the ceilings, the details, the courtyards where we had coffee every morning. Having the whole place to ourselves made it feel like our own private New Orleans estate. We were walking distance to everything but came back each night to peace and quiet. The check-in was seamless and the space was spotless. Already planning our next trip back.

    The perfect New Orleans location

An unforgettable stay. The Mansion on Royal is everything you picture when you dream of New Orleans — soaring ceilings, a gorgeous courtyard, and so much history in every room. We were steps from Frenchmen Street but felt tucked away in our own private world. The whole group stayed together and it made the trip. We'll absolutely be back.

Mardi Gras (Feb 3–9): The city's biggest celebration — parades daily, building to Fat Tuesday, right in our neighborhood. French Quarter Fest (Apr 8–11): The largest free music festival in New Orleans, steps away, on Easter weekend. Jazz Fest (Apr 22–25 & Apr 29–May 2): Two weekends of world-famous music, food, and culture. Halloween & Voodoo Fest (Oct 29–31): New Orleans does Halloween like nowhere else. NYE / Sugar Bowl (Dec 31–Jan 1): Ring in the new year in the French Quarter.
Yes, absolutely! Since you have exclusive use of the entire property, you're welcome to bring your own alcohol for your stay and celebration. Many guests bring their favorites or arrange for a bartender or caterer to handle service. If you'd like, we're happy to connect you with trusted local vendors for bar service, delivery, or setup.
We are not wheelchair accessible at this time.
Yes, we have ample on street parking in front of and all around the property.
Summer (June–August): New Orleans slows down and warms up. Fewer crowds, lower rates, and easy access to the city's restaurants, music, and nightlife without the festival rush — ideal for a laid-back getaway or a group celebration.Early December & mid-January–early February (before Mardi Gras): Quieter weeks between the holidays and Carnival season. A calm, comfortable time to enjoy the mansion and the neighborhood at a relaxed pace.Early September: Post-summer lull before the fall events pick up — a peaceful window with the city mostly to yourselves.

Your rental fee includes exclusive use of the entire mansion — all nine suites, the galleries, indoor gathering spaces, and our three lush courtyards — for the length of your stay, with no other guests on-site. It covers overnight accommodations for up to 27 guests, access to all indoor and outdoor spaces for your ceremony and celebration, a full kitchen, getting-ready space, and Wi-Fi throughout. Can hold 50 people total for event. Not included, but we're glad to help arrange: catering, bar service, florals, music, and coordination — we'll connect you with trusted local vendors.
Check in times are always 4pm and Checkout times are always 11am. If you want to check in before 11am, you MUST book the previous day. The reason is simple: If another guest has the previous day booked and checks out at 11am, it is impossible for you to check in while the previous guests are still there. You MUST book the day before if you want to check in anytime before 11am. We can allow luggage drop off anytime before 11am while you explore the city. For checkouts past 11am, you must book the next day for the same reason. The cleaners will need time to clean before the next guests.
For overnight stays: full refund if canceled 30+ days before arrival, 50% refund within 30 days, and no refund within 14 days.
Taxi or Uber is recommended.
