The staff at the Royal Sonesta New Orleans were attentive and detailed throughout the wedding planning process. The venue and ballroom were absolutely beautiful and amazing, making me feel like a true princess on my special day. Taylor and Pauline, in particular, were incredibly professional, attentive, and patient as they worked with us to ensure every detail was perfect. The entire staff showed genuine excitement and enthusiasm for our big day, which made the experience that much more special. We are so grateful to the team at the Royal Sonesta for helping to make our wedding day absolutely perfect!

My fiance and I met on Bourbon St, so we knew we needed to get married there, but we didn't want it to be a spring break style dirty booze fest. We are so lucky to have found the Royal Sonesta, a true hidden gem. Getting married in the courtyard was a dream. The fountain was such a beautiful and elegant touch. Getting to do the Second Line around the hotel (the busiest block) was the coolest thing ever. My guests LOVED IT. The amount of people who stopped and danced with us was unreal. The food was the best I've ever had at a wedding, and so may of my guests told me so. The spread was insane, from cocktail hour to the raw bar...so delicious and epic. Get the chargrilled oyster attendant, people could not stop talking about and I felt so bougie. The cake was included in our wedding package and was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to eat it again on our anniversary! Now the best for last, the Royal Sonesta staff. We planned everything with Olivia, who sadly left a couple weeks before our big day, but Monique handled everything on our wedding day and was the kindest, most attentive queen. We love her forever! The planning process was a breeze, it felt like I was planning an epic party with a good friend. Olivia made an overwhelming process so fun and enjoyable! From the moment I checked in, everyone treated us and our family like royalty. There were so many small thoughtful touches, like cookies waiting in my mother in laws room. I'll cherish that day forever and so much of the reason is because of how special the Royal Sonesta made it.

The Food & Beverage (F&B) Minimum is the minimum amount you are required to spend on food and beverages during your event. Yes, you can! We allow outside vendors as long as they have insurance and are not bringing in food and beverage unless otherwise contracted with your sales manager. Ask your sales manager for a recommended vendors list!

Yes, your rental fee will cover an additional inside venue space that we hold in the case of weather. Your sales manager will make an official weather call 4 hours prior to the event. If the precipitation percentage is 40% or higher the event will be moved inside and we will coordinate accordingly with your vendors and guests.

We normally hold the venue space for an additional 2 hours prior to start time to allow setup. Depending on the number of vendors, attendees, and décor you are providing, we may be able to accommodate an earlier set up time.

The hotel strongly recommends that you hire a wedding coordinator. We do not provide a wedding coordinator. Below is what your sales manager will be responsible for during the wedding: Ensuring banquets team is setting up correctly and on time Ensuring banquets team is following the timeline for ceremony and reception Coordinating set up logistics with outside vendors Ensuring housekeeping is refreshing guest rooms and event spaces Ensuring Audio Visual is setting up the correct equipment Ensuring the food and beverage selections are correct, fresh, and replenished

If a meeting space is available near the ceremony and reception space when you arrive, you may be able to store your items in there. We cannot guarantee additional storage space the day prior unless it is reserved with a room rental.

The week of the event, you can give your vendors the personal cell number of your sales manager. Your sales manager will provide this phone number and will coordinate with your vendors accordingly.

Security is included in the wedding package price but is not private toward your event. Security is required for guest events inside the Bourbon Balcony Suites with more than 30 guests. For private security specifically for your event, please ask your sales manager for pricing.

Yes you can always increase but you cannot decrease so make sure your food and beverage minimum is based off the LEAST amount of guest you expect. Your final guest count is due 10 business days prior to the event.
