    Best Wedding Ever!

First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans was an incredible partner for our wedding day, even though we did not get married at their church. From the moment we reached out, the staff was incredibly responsive and caring, guiding us through the process of their pre-marriage counseling and officiating our ceremony at our chosen venue. They were wonderfully supportive and caring not only for our wedding, but to our whole family as well. We could not have asked for a better experience, and are so grateful to the team at First Presbyterian Church for helping to make our special day so meaningful and memorable.

    Gorgeous church, friendly staff

I was married at First Presbyterian Church and found them to be the epitome of God Is Love! The church staff was welcoming and accommodating to give couples and parents a "church" wedding that feels right for both generations. Not too many rules about music or ceremony, welcoming guest ministers. We used the church's minister and couldn't have been happier. The building is gorgeous on the inside and outside, great acoustics, an old fashioned church bell, and a great center aisle to walk down. I love all of my pictures and memories.

Fee includes: 1-hour rehearsal; 3-hour wedding inclusive of set-up, processional, ceremony, recessional, photos, breakdown; Existing furnishings; Basic sound equipment (for pastor/speakers); Use of baby grand piano; Waiting area for groomsmen; Wedding coordinator for rehearsal and wedding (4 hours total)
Fee does not include a Pastor! Our pastor has recently retired from doing non-member weddings. But we welcome other Christian pastors for other denominations and can provide a list of potential pastors to you.
Parking is on-street in the surrounding neighborhood and is usually not a problem. If needed, the couple can request to use the church’s side lot (“The Pumpkin Patch”), but this is rarely needed. Guests planning a destination wedding frequently use motorcoach service. We request that coaches park away from the front of the church, possibly in front of the side lot. Motorcoaches should not park at the rear of the church on South Prieur St.
Yes, but not at the front of the church. We have a handicap ramp at the back of the church built by Boy Scout Troop 185. If possible, please alert us ahead of time so we can facilitate getting your guests in the building through the rear entrance.
We do have a Fellowship Hall that is available to rent at a cost of $2,850, which includes a $300 refundable damage deposit and a $350 janitorial fee. Rental includes use of a commercial kitchen, use of 8 rectangular tables and up to 60 chairs. Rental does not include sound system, catering, any additional tables or chairs, serving ware, or tablecloths. Please contact the church office to inquire about availability at info@fpcno.org or 504-866-7409.
When you’re ready to commit, we’ll ask you to secure your booking by filling out a wedding agreement and submitting a $500 deposit to hold your date. Your full fee will be due two months prior to your wedding date. (Note: Fees for existing church members are negotiable.) We know that sometimes things happen. If for some reason, you need to cancel, we will return half the deposit to you up to three months prior to the wedding date. The final balance is due two months prior to the wedding date.
